The most important thing i saw yesterday was McKee check out of a play with 14 seconds on the play clock.

Bashing McKee after this game is silly.

Sure, there are some things that you can criticize, but we've seen him play well when he's not surrounded by a full compliment of backups.

There it is. I agree with WIP. I'll never forgive Kevin Patullo for that

Last week he ran it just to run it - I guess KP self corrected, and passed it just to pass it.

I expected his decision making to be better despite playing with the B team, and I understand that the gameplan did him no favors. Also, I have concerns about his arm strength and accuracy when he can't set in the pocket.

In terms of trade value - he didn't light it up, and hence didn't separate himself from say Mac Jones who can be had as a free agent.

Curious if the new coach will keep Sanders

The only way Sanders is the long term solution in Cleveland is because the owner wants him to be. I don't see him as a viable long term starter in the NFL

Maybe they go after Deion. Would be the Browns thing to do.

We ended up with the Panthers and Steelers next season rather than the Bucs and Ravens.

It was a very successful Sunday.

Deion will probably be their new coach.

If the Falcons were smart they'd immediately hire him. The Falcons are not smart though

Stefanski is from Philadelphia. Potential new OC.

Another thing to monitor is Epps in the concussion protcol. If he can't go Sunday then it is Sydney Brown. Oh boy.

I would rather they try Michael Carter as a back up in that role. He had a good game and was all over the field.

They should be calling him today about consulting for he playoffs.

So you are picking the 49ers because we rested the starters this week?

In picking the niners as they will probably score more than 20 and we won't be able to match that. A weeks rest was not going to change that.

Would be great. But I think he gets Giants job

Feels like a guy Giants will make top priority

McKee neither disappointed nor impressed me yesterday. He did good things and bad things. He’s clearly not polished or experienced enough to step in and be an instant sensation…even playing with scrubs, if he were ready, there are reads he shouldn’t have missed.

From a value standpoint and overall career viewpoint, he was playing with scrubs and I wouldn’t declare him anything definitely limited based on one blah game.

The Packers outplayed the Bears both times and the 2nd time was basically without Love and Parsons and took a miracle OT for the Bears to win. I think the Packers could beat the Bears even with the 4 game losing streak. If that happens. Eagles get a 2nd home game after all if they take care of business against the 9ers. It's very hard to play a Division team 3 times.

It was a good thing Eagles kept AJ Dillon on the team for his two whole snaps he played yesterday

In a vacuum, I get moving on from Stefanski. He’s been there a long time and the arrow is pointing down. But the main reason for that is the FO has bungled the QB search to a historic degree, and to move on during THIS HC hiring cycle (one of the worst in recent years) seems to be another example of the Browns being the Browns.

Stefanski might get his pick of jobs this year.

So the team that scored 13 and 3 on the Seahawks, who have a similar level defense to ours, you think they'll score more than 20 on us? Curious as to why you think that. I get that our O is not good right now, but we still average over 20 points even in our frustrating offense games. I get being pessimistic, we are Eagles fans after all, but I think the D will be ready to go. Statistically, we'll likely go up decently in the first half and then let them get to within a score in the 2nd half thumbsup

Clarifications and some positives after yesterday:

  1. Grant Calcaterra may be out for awhile. More Fred Johnson at TE hopefully when Lane comes back next week.

  2. Cameron Williams and Kendall held their own. May provide good depth for future.

  3. All key guys who played came out healthy.

  4. Tanner Brady played like a rookie and everyone can now relax with the hyperbole. Hurts is the man here. Obviously!

  5. Jake Elliot didn't flub any kicks.

  6. Byron Young may be a solid rotational D Tackle after all and good depth for next year

  7. Trust Fangio even more after seeing the dreck in the secondary like Ringo and Bennett screw the pooch. Starting Adoree makes total sense now. Opens eyes for offseason help for secondary and clarifies things.

  8. Jeremiah Trotter is the real deal. Further cements that Dean's time is up, which saves us money for our cornerstones and gains a nice compensatory pick.

  9. Shipley should never see backup reps. Tank is clearly your number 2. We kinda knew that already. Also, infers that SB is underachieving and maybe it isn't the OL completely, as Tank ran behind backups and still looked good. Need SB to run harder and stop dancing around to avoid the hit. Tank just carries guys with him and brings a physicality, yet with the ability to make absurd sudden cuts. 4.7 average was nice.

  10. Michael Carter could be useful as a backup safety. Don't like him at CB as much. Sydney Brown need not enter the convo and stays on special teams only.

  11. Darius Cooper passing the eye test as a nice find for Howie. Wish they could find someone young like that for Tight End.

Bill Simmons saying on his podcast that McKee had the worst game at QB than we have seen in recent memory.

So resting or not resting was irrelevant, and you just dont think we can beat the 49ers? If thats what you believe, our seeding doesnt matter either as we wouldnt be good enough to get to the Superbowl.

Seattle also plays them twice a year. Lot of familiarity there. The offense needs to show up, this is a game the defense will need them to sustain drives or we will gas out the defense faster than normal
