EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

FWIW, I think recycled/failed HCs who are still young and have had top success as coordinators are actually the best HC pool for teams looking. It’s not sexy, but that’s where I’d look. Many of the best HCs in nfl history come from that pool. They are never popular hires because they just failed and got fired, but those would be my guys. They are scrappy, have been humbled, have a functional blueprint already and are willing to get back to the drawing board.

It’s the old former HCs you need to stay away from. And any young up and comers are a coin toss at best.

I don't understand how Zac Taylor is still their coach. Yes he made a SB but that was several years ago.

Lower expectations in the Midwest.

Player support + cheap owner

IDK about that but I’d hire Kingsbury in a min.

Jeez, desperation breeds bad decisions. This board after Eagles beat WA in NFCC: WA will be worse in 2025 on offense because Kingsbury gets figured out after one season.

Kingsbury sucks. So does KP.

Man if we lose on Sunday, Lurie needs to act fast on canning Patullo. Lots of good OCs out there.

Hard to tell. Belichick, Carroll, Reid all succeeded and won SB’s despite being fairly old and failed at other places. Payton and both Harbaughs may end up there.

That too. He'll have that job until the contract is up.

do what it take Howie. Bring him home.

I think Harbaugh gets NYG job and Stefanski gets ATL. Nagy looks to be front runner in TEN

Finished watching Ken Burns Revolutionary War miniseries. Felt like he mailed it in. Bit of an over focus on Native Americans and a bit oversold the slave impact while somewhat underplaying the free black impact. Appreciated his quoting some of my and my wife’s ancestral relatives. But he glossed over so much and that led to some inaccuracies. I did like that he touched on the global nature a bit. When France and then Spain entered the war and The Netherlands joined in, the conflict took on a global nature and there was empire that the English found much more important than keeping the 13 colonies. I would give this one 2 out of 5 Patullos. It did prepare me for this year’s celebrations which will probably be like 1976, more propaganda than true history.
