EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Toth should be playing C over Jurgens. Just shut him down until 2026. He's a big liability this season for the OLine, IMO.

Here’s your problem with your solution. Because you wanna hire the guy that’s gonna stay as the coordinator to have stability and doesn’t wanna look for another coach job doesn’t mean he does stay. we talked about monke this earlier in the season. You told me can do what ravens did with him. He is currently interviewing for a head coaching job at 59 years old.

Again in theory, it sounds awesome to get the guy that wants to be a lifetime OC and we have stability. However, hay candidate grey well might not exist and it’s not the norm. I will bet if you want to take this bet if they hired somebody like that and the offense went from where it is now to top 5 offense next year that that guy is going to be interview for head coaching jobs. Again we discussed monken earlier this year and he’s interviewing for a HC job.

Probability is important. Just because you can't ensure a 0% chance of losing your coordinator doesn't mean you don't try. It's like those people that say because a measure isn't 100% effective, it's not worth anything. Trying to lessen a problem isn't worthless, it still has benefit as opposed to beelining right into the middle, I think.

Also right, I forgot about that conversation, has been a while. I think it was about guys who stay as OC for a few years instead of instantly becoming head coach, like him and the Bills OCs.

Frank Reich lol. 2017 was almost a decade ago. What are we doing here.

I can’t believe I would ever find myself in a position pulling for Toth, but I agree with this. Jurgens has been one of the worst linemen in the league this season and Toth has held his own. They won’t do it though.

There was speculation Mike McDaniel was going to come back next year but I guess that changed once Harbaugh was fired. I think teams with coaches on the hot seat want to make sure to get into the Harbaugh sweepstakes. He's the #1 Coach on the market right now.

Toth is in concussion protocol. Not practicing is not a good sign. Epps listed as limited is.

Holy crap it is almost a decade lol

My response to you on this is your own words

For someone who doesn't know Frank Reich personally you sure do seem to take yourself as an expert on all of his thoughts in his head

I think it stance is much more reasonable that there is q chance he can be OC because it makes a lot of sense for both sides than yours where you say he has no interest.

Frank Reich is the obvious choice for OC.

No longer interim HC with Stanford. Obviously a relationship with both Nick and the Eagles organization. Old enough where he likely won't be a risk to lose to a HC job snd can just be a senior well experienced guy like Fangio to come in and hold down that coordinator spot for some time.

He's retired. He only took the Stanford job as a one year condition as a favor for Andrew Luck

He is a fit for the organization and coaching staff and he is more than competent in thr art form of play calling. That is what you need.

Wonder what Brad Childress is up to these days 🤔

Frankly Joe Brady had interviews for HC jobs (with the eagles that cycle we hired sirianni). Furthermore he’s only been the full time OC for Bills since start of last season. Also rank 15th in passing with Josh Allen this year. Als Brady is 36 and he was a hot name 3-4 years ago. It didn’t go well (I’d have to find the article i vividly remember he didn’t interview well was a big thing)

Hey don’t bring facts into this argument….

Hire Jon Gruden. His offenses looked great in like 2003.

It would be a miracle for the Eagles to have a shot at McDaniel or Monken, unless they lose to the 49ers.

I want absolutely nothing to do with Daboll, he's a total nut and not a fit at all.

I'm sure this is a joke but I would 100% take Gruden. He's stayed in the game and I absolutely love his weekly breakdowns. I think he and Sirianni would actually mesh really well

Saw this on the 49ers reddit - pretty good lol

The interesting dark horse for an offensive coaching role, and its kind of out there, would be Philip Rivers. Nick has the relationship with him from San Diego and Indy. He’s already coaching high school in Alabama. I don’t think he’d go right to OC but if he wants to get into coaching I think here would be a realistic shot.

Just heard the stat that Jalen Hurts has 18 TD passes and 0 interceptions this season when they play on Sunday.

Yea that's accurate for interceptions only. He's fumbled on Sundays this season

I guess coming from me it was taken as criticism. Understandable. Wasn't actually meant to be lol

With how CMC has been much more effective as a recodver than a ball carrier this year I wonder if it wpuld be better to play Campbell more than Nakobe on a tender hamstring.

That's funny. The dude loves wrestling so he probably grew up crushing on her and now he gets to live it out.
