No one's giving the poor Panthers a chance. Would be a cool story if they won today. Every single local person talking Eagles is saying "If Eagles win it's Rams or Bears." Like the Rams have a bye week. I think the Rams will win, but would be funny if the lil Carolina Panthers beat them again.

Tomorrow is a win-win. Either Eagles win or we get Mike McDaniel as OC.

Kind of expected when you win your division with a losing record and in a fugazi way.

I hope the Packers lose in embarrassing fashion just so I can laugh at @MrGreenBay

Had to use AI and some articles (yahoo used stathead from 2000 up until the wild card round of 2023. Figured th lines for the next 3 postseasons) but since 2000 there’s been 28 games in the playoffs where a team was a double digit underdog and only 7 have won (better than I expected— just 1 wild card round). Since the titans did it last the closest was last year. The commanders were 9.5 point underdogs.

2001 AFC championship: New England (+10) beat Pittsburgh 24-17

2001 Super Bowl XXXVI: New England (+14) beats St. Louis 20-17

2007 AFC divisional: San Diego (+11) beats Indianapolis 28-24

2007 Super Bowl XLII: N.Y. Giants (+12.5) beat New England 17-14

2008 NFC divisional: Arizona (+10) beats Carolina 33-13

2010 NFC wild card: Seattle (+10) beats New Orleans 41-36

2019 AFC divisional: Tennessee (+10) beats Baltimore 28-12

The Seattle game was what came to mind but couldn't remember the year. That was Hasselbeck right? Didn't remember the Titans Ravens game at all.

I’m guessing we’re rooting for the Panthers & Packers today? Best path forward for more home playoff games?

If they don't win this will be the season of what if the coach and OC didn’t blow the season. Cant get a more wide open field than this. They have the most talent. They should win and it's on them.

He’s on some kind of bender…

Looks like he's with his kid. If he were one of those weird full grown adults that goes to Disney every year without kids, we might have to move Monken to the top of the list.

Garafolo reporting that Lane will be a true game time decision tomorrow.

Small chance we could host the Panthers in that scenario

Thats what Im hoping for.

9ers, Carolina, Seattle playoffs is like playing madden on easy mode.

Dont think theyll need him. The longer they can hold off on playing him the better.

That titans/ravens game is sneaky cause looking back at it you’d say probably shouldn’t have been that big of an underdog with Henry and Aj Brown and vrabel being a good coach. Tannehill had been playing good football after taking over for mariota that year. Yet they were were depending on Sportsbook 10-11

The Eagles obviously thought Lane would be ready much sooner or they'd have just IR'd him. The whole situation is odd. So from consulting with team doctors and expecting him to be ready after 3 games has somehow turned into still maybe not ready after 2 months.

Rams last 4 road games they are 1-3

One of the losses was vs the Panthers

There was also a lot of talk at the time before it was known if he needed surgery that Lane was getting second opinions. Starting to feel like the first opinion was surgery and the second was rest and let’s see how it reacts, which hasn’t been good.

Just now, LeanMeanGM said:

I felt this way for a while, at some point in time he’s gonna need surgery to fix the issue. I think this was more give him enough time and let’s hope he can feel a little better on it but is very likely playing through pain.

That amount suggests he was warned several times

In situations like this, you can just go peep in someone else's window and watch for free. BYOB.

Thought about that.

The Eagles and their medical staff have dealt with lis franc injuries before though. They know how people react to them. I think they'd have just IR'd him if they thought he'd miss more than 3 games. I think they legitimately thought he'd be back in December. If it was a lis franc issue that required surgery, players just don't play through that. It would've been so unlikely and improbable. If that was the case I don't think they'd have bothered with the try to play through it route. I think they thought he'd legit be back. I'm wondering if he had some type of a setback through rehab.

My rooting interest for the weekend is a CAR win and a GB loss. This will give DAL GB’s 1rd selection at #19.

A GB win puts DAL at #25 for that pick.

A CAR loss and a GB loss puts DAL at #20 for the GB pick.

John McMullen intimated that the issue isn't the injury, but rather Lane's mental health. He said the injury was healed weeks ago.

I had read a week or so ago that Lucy or some other player, I can’t remember for certain, has paid nearly 500k in fines this year.

Luvu

Glazer also said game time decision. Has some swelling and pain still in there, the team is going to work on it tonight to try to get him ready. If he's not ready this week, you wonder what one more week of rest would really do for him but we'll see.

We don't know who we play next week. We will after today's games though.

Let's worry about getting by the 9ers first before thinking about who we're playing next week. Won't matter if we lose tomorrow.
