Why are they "the team to beat" again? They played like dogshit and still found a way to win. That can get you pretty far in this league regardless of who you play against. But yeah, if they think they can get away with that against the Seahawks or us, it probably won't work out as nicely for them.

Yesterday at 12:50 AM1 day If Eagles win Sunday they will be favorites next week regardless of who they play.

Yesterday at 12:51 AM1 day OK.... I hope the Eagles paid attention to this near miss....the Eagles and the idiot OC, who I refuse to name needs to learn from this and absolutely not take the foot off the pedal...stomp on their necks and never let up

Yesterday at 12:51 AM1 day I want the Rams instead of the Bears next week.I think we can make them uncomfortable on defense in Philly and their defense has been broken for over a month now. In the last 5 games they have given up 150 points.

Yesterday at 12:52 AM1 day The play of the game was Puka knocking the interception out of the DBs hands in the end zone.
Yesterday at 12:52 AM1 day How many people complaining about soft zone for the Panthers understand that their best, by far, defender wasn't on the field for the final drive? Imagine Kelee Ringo out there for that drive, and tell me who Stafford is throwing at and if you think the coverage would look soft.
Yesterday at 12:52 AM1 day Just now, SkippyX said:They were playing well back of Puka all drive.Sure but that's different from being in prevent. They rushed 4 and had two deep safeties.
Yesterday at 12:54 AM1 day Panthers coaches didn’t feel like winning today. Feel bad for their players. They did what they were asked.

Yesterday at 12:56 AM1 day Hey Panthers, you got 3 TOs left. ATTACK the middle of the field. Just like Stafford did to your Defense. Hopefully the Eagles don't get their season ended that way.

Play your regular defense and you still have plenty of time even if they score. Running the clock out on yourself is a pretty definite loss.
Yesterday at 01:01 AM1 day 1 minute ago, we_gotta_believe said:Yeah that's still not what prevent means.PREVENT can mean playing 5 or more DBs and giving up short stuff for free.It can also mean giving up short stuff for free in base. You are arguing if we can call store brand gelatin as jello.THE PHILOSOPHY ON THAT DRIVE WAS TO PLAY SCARED AND SOFT AND GIVE UP FREE SHORT PLAYS.The philosophy was prevent.

I hate at the end of the first half when they have a chance to go and try to get the touchdown inside the 30 (sometimes just kneel if further away) then they just settle for kicking a field goal by calling conservative play. They did that against Tampa Bay and Buffalo at the end of the first half. not in the locker room, but I gotta imagine if I’m an offensive player how deflating and upsetting it is to know that my OC/coaches do not believe in us as a unit and feels the we need to turtle up.
