Congrats Rams, you needed a come from behind last miunte drive to beat a sub .500 team. Why are they "the team to beat" again?

They played like dogshit and still found a way to win. That can get you pretty far in this league regardless of who you play against. But yeah, if they think they can get away with that against the Seahawks or us, it probably won't work out as nicely for them.

Not scared of the Rams. At all. Our defense would destroy Stafford. They are better than we he faced them before. Just need to score some points

And that's the problem

If Eagles win Sunday they will be favorites next week regardless of who they play.

You always want the home game. Rams would be going West to East to West to back East...

He sure as hell can tell them not to play prevent soft zone.

They weren't in prevent coverage. Rams had 3 time outs

This is probably true.

Unfortunately we're just as likely to crap the bed and not score for an entire half

OK.... I hope the Eagles paid attention to this near miss....the Eagles and the idiot OC, who I refuse to name needs to learn from this and absolutely not take the foot off the pedal...stomp on their necks and never let up

either is fine with me.

They were playing well back of Puka all drive.

Panthers had it until Horn got hurt

I want the Rams instead of the Bears next week.

I think we can make them uncomfortable on defense in Philly and their defense has been broken for over a month now. In the last 5 games they have given up 150 points.

Bears on the road, without a doubt

The play of the game was Puka knocking the interception out of the DBs hands in the end zone.

How many people complaining about soft zone for the Panthers understand that their best, by far, defender wasn't on the field for the final drive? Imagine Kelee Ringo out there for that drive, and tell me who Stafford is throwing at and if you think the coverage would look soft.

Sure but that's different from being in prevent. They rushed 4 and had two deep safeties.

Panthers coaches didn’t feel like winning today. Feel bad for their players. They did what they were asked.

Panthers Defense gave up that game, SMH. They had them.

As I read these posts, clearly a lot of people did not understand it

Hey Panthers, you got 3 TOs left. ATTACK the middle of the field. Just like Stafford did to your Defense.

Hopefully the Eagles don't get their season ended that way.

I think I said prevent soft zone.

They were not playing like they were up 17 and willing to give up a 90 second TD drive but they were playing soft and scared.

Yeah that's still not what prevent means.

But you have 3 time outs. Play your regular defense and you still have plenty of time even if they score. Running the clock out on yourself is a pretty definite loss.

PREVENT can mean playing 5 or more DBs and giving up short stuff for free.

It can also mean giving up short stuff for free in base.

You are arguing if we can call store brand gelatin as jello.

THE PHILOSOPHY ON THAT DRIVE WAS TO PLAY SCARED AND SOFT AND GIVE UP FREE SHORT PLAYS.

The philosophy was prevent.

I’d add to this. I hate at the end of the first half when they have a chance to go and try to get the touchdown inside the 30 (sometimes just kneel if further away) then they just settle for kicking a field goal by calling conservative play. They did that against Tampa Bay and Buffalo at the end of the first half. not in the locker room, but I gotta imagine if I’m an offensive player how deflating and upsetting it is to know that my OC/coaches do not believe in us as a unit and feels the we need to turtle up.
