EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Hate the chiefs but getting rice back makes their offense much more dynamic and opens a lot more up for them.

The league favoring the Chiefs just about every week makes the NFL almost unwatchable.

Eagles vs Chiefs Super Bowl again

The Superbowl is up for grabs. Eagles gain an edge if they can make that one deal for an impact defensive lineman. Otherwise, they are capable of laying an egg to anyone as they did with Broncos and Giants. This still is not last year's dominant roster and stacked at every position. Want one more guy and not a dart throw and would feel more confident.

The roster is still stacked. The LB group is better, 2nd and 3rd year players are better just from gaining experience. The O line is healthy and the run game finally took off, that alone will crush teams. They're weaker at pass rush and 2nd Corner, and some things will help slightly improve there. Plus rookies Mukuba and Campbell continuing to get better.

Adding a pass rusher like Phillips or Chubb would be nice, but that sole move doesn't change them from a non-dominant team to a dominant one. There are no elite teams in the league. The Eagles are still the league's best team or at minimum 1 of 2 top teams. Other teams should be concerned playing them. They're not going to have the same dominant D line performance as last year, but the defense has playmakers and the O is still the returning 10 starters that are clicking now.

Big boy can sling it! 😂

Best thing about KC @ Buffalo is it is two outdoor teams playing outdoors in November. It is how football should be played.

And that game IMO will be more like the 2022 game where it's close and both offenses are performing. I think the Eagles win because the defense does it's job. It won't be the dominant performance like last year, but the defense is way better than the 2022 game. A defense this good would have won that 2022 SB by two scores.

16 pages deep on the first day of a new thread on an off week. You guys rock!

Mahomes so far:

  • Missed a routine sideline throw for a 3rd down conversion chance. The throw was way too high.

  • Did not read the corner blitz - not smart! You can fool Mahomes.

  • Is taking sacks. He should both get rid of the ball earlier and hold the ball long enough to see the open TD guy.

  • Had to hurry a throw and could not will a completion by magic

  • Had no pressure on 3rd down and threw the ball way short instead of finding the guy who was about to be open deep (someone is always bound to eventually be open deep)

Man, its fun when you hold other QBs up to perfection.

Ouch!

The refs are trying but the Chiefs need to do their part too!

Shame. And a significant loss for them.

And that's without talking about feet or trading AJ!!

Chase Young got a sack which doubles his season total. Saints should trade him now before he reinjured his calf that made him miss half the season

Tbh I’d argue the chiefs offense with worthy and rice healthy is better version of that 2022 offense even with Kelce in the decline. Their WRs then were juju, hardman, MVS, skyy Moore and Toney then. OL is close cause Simmons if playing is a big upgrade at LT but at one of the guard spots, they aren’t as good.

The Whiners are suffering on D

I'm glad we got thru our one game up there without any major losses.

What the heck is Mahomes running around for? Just stand in the pocket and be decisive!

Why is he throwing on 4th down to a guy who is blanket covered?

Njoku you are a Green Bay Packer.

68 yarder - would have been good from 70

Shough just got absolutely decked

Wow, that sets the record by 2 yards.

This is Cam Little from Jacksonville.

Running game is worse. Offensive line is worse. Safety position is worse. All of those can and hopefully will improve for sure. I don't want to blur things here with a walloping of a battered NY Giants team and a team that had Carson Wentz as their starting QB. They may not acquire a stud here at the deadline, but can use solid veteran depth at worst on this team. Did leave the roster to a lot of young guys and several are just not ready. Howie can fill the gaps here still at the deadline.

Love how bad the Bills are at the tush push.

Bills once again running the tush push after arguing it's unsafe and voting to ban it.
