Yeah, I didn't know the rules for accruing seasons. I guess the good news is that this frees up that cap space then for a carryover.

He's going to be traded in the offseason. Howie will figure that out. People can talk about Patullo and Hurts all they want and they aren't perfect but Devonta is managing a career year in the same circumstances

Alright uniform guys. Here's a behind the scenes look at the creation of the Patriots Rivalry uniforms. Some good intel on how they did things. A few things stand out.

-Patriots officials overrode Nike's desire to have all grey.

-Nike's team went to a game to experience New England. It was rainy so Nike really took that as their story.

-NE wanted to be different and created a custom color and not have all-white/all-black (go figure Nike wants that).

-Jersey number font is an ode to the Royal Blue 90s cult classic uniforms (think early Bledsoe).

-NE equipment managers were heavily involved.

So knowing that, what might we expect from Nike/Eagles? Here are some of my initial thoughts trying to think like Nike.

-What color?

-New custom shade of green (probably as dark as possible to avoid saying it's black)

-The color or the Ben Franklin Bridge so they can make an excuse to go all-grey

-Philly Art Museum "grey" even though it looks yellow. Another excuse to make a mono greyish or off-white uniform (much like the Rams "bone")

-Dark navy blue with some Delaware River storyline.

-Dark navy blue a a tribute to Philly's gritty blue collar workers

-Battleship grey as an ode to the old Navy Yard. Again, what stupid story can Nike come up with to go all-grey/black

-Modernizing the 1970s shoulder yoke.

-Liberty Bell/Constitution references.

-Oversized/chrome monotone Eagle wing on helmet. (Nike seems to be making these all 2 colors and very drab. I can see the 1960s all silver wing being emphasized).

-Reading Terminal Market sign font.

It would be stupid to trade him this offseason. He's a top 5 WR in the League. The reality is that the passing game and the offense have underperformed. AJ isn't the reason the offense isn't performing.

WRs are open all the time on every team and they don't always get the ball thrown to them. Again Devonta is getting the ball thrown to him.

Luckily that’a not a choice the Eagles will have to make. Plenty of talent on the roster with or without an aging malcontent with a bad hammy.
