Mahomes was maximizing what was available given the their OL ability and receiving options. There wasn't another gear.

We have a much higher ceiling than what we've shown. That is where the combined state of frustration and optimism comes from.

Oh, I don’t disagree. I think the Eagles offense has a much higher ceiling than what the Chiefs did. Frankly, I think the Chiefs offensive line was just mediocre to poor to start particularly at the tackle positions. Eagles is more on their injuries to the OL. And then when they lost rice, they really only had limited wide receivers and a rookie in worthy. That’s why I think the Eagles offense has a higher ceiling if they can ever get everything going. Eagles are a far more talented offensive unit than the chiefs. I’d add i think defensively they are as well.

But watching our games and theirs last year, they feel very similar in how they are won. Where most weeks their defense kept them in games and their offense (a good portion of the season) found just enough throughout the course of the game to get a win. And they both had some very odd and crazy ways to win games. Both have won on blocked FGs at the buzzer

i’m really not talking so much about the talent and roster. That isn’t really a similarity. I think the roster is better here. I’m talking about how their season went with winning a lot of games and in some wild game finishes. the game scripts and winning in similar fashion(regardless of who had a higher ceiling roster)

Good point. They don't look at this stuff and self critique?

If Baltimore and Detroit both manage to blow the division, it will probably be easier also.

He's not an ahole, he's frustrated. As we all are. He hasn't thrown anyone under the bus and hasn't acted like a jerk and he's not an issue in the locker room. He's close with all his teammates and they don't have a problem with him venting.

He just doesn't have the emotional fortitude to keep it bottled in like some players do. It is what it is. Not everyone can do that as well as others.

Honestly, I don't mind that he is expressing his frustration with the offense. They need to figure it out and quick. The offense has no identity and seemingly no cohesive plan. So when he says it is a 💩 show...duM6JZemPlOjUyqmxd.gif

My problem is this is not just a 2025 venting or frustration with the way the offense has been this year. This goes back to 2022 complaining in a playoff win over the Giants.

More clips.

With the extra home game, they may try to send us overseas again.

It's just who he is. I really don't see it as a problem as long as he isn't getting into fights with his teammates or throwing them under the bus publicly which he's never done. That's AJ. He's not gonna be happy when he doesn't dominate.

People think he wants out. AJ doesn't want out as in doesn't like Philly or the Eagles. What he wants is a real offense. Get a functional offense going and the frustration goes away. This isn't a Trent Williams with the Redskins situation where the organization was dead to him and it was an irreconcilable situation. There is one issue at play here: the offense sucking. No beef with the front office, owner. No situation where his teammates hate him and want him gone.

And frankly, with each passing week it continues to look like crap, I'm glad someone is at least speaking up about it without being obnoxious or cruel about it. Maybe it'll light a fire under the ass of the coaches. Because if the offense continues like this the rest of the season it's going to cost them a chance to repeat. And I'm far more concerned about that than any frustration with AJ. I don't want what could be a special season with a special roster to end due to coaching incompetence.

There isn't ba single poster here that is in a bigger state of denial than you surrounding the AJ Brown situation.

I’m very sensitive to mental health issues as are most people but it normally doesn’t involve crying over targets.

If he has some issues unrelated to football going on then stop complaining about your role in the offense because that has nothing to do with mental health.

He could both have mental health issues and be an Ahole but the complaining about the offense part is the Ahole part.

Depression in men often manifests in anger more so than sadness. It's possible (just speculating) that his mental health is tied to his performance expectations as a top athlete. Tim McManus just published that article - click here to read - that talks about the very high standards of excellence from Lurie and Howie down to the coaches and players. The young guys from tougher college programs also have that mindset. They talk about not being satisfied even when winning, because they know they are capable of more. It's very possible that AJ Brown's mental health struggles are related to his performance. It could be depression that he hoped a SB win would make him feel satisfied and it didn't do it for him the way he expected. It could just be him working through his stuff. We can have compassion for people going through mental and emotional struggles. He can also get help, and his team can support him. He hasn't posted on his socials lately, but made those comments on a video game stream (I don't know if he knew he was being recorded and that would go online).

And I get to see the Eagles play the Titans here! The last time I saw them here Kevin Kolb was the QB and threw a bunch of picks.

I've been right every step of the way involving Brown and you've been proven wrong every step of the way. All you do is troll, post BS, and hysterics. You'd think that constantly being proven wrong would get it through your head, but I think it's beyond your limited intellectual capacity.

I'd prefer it was kept in house and he was just telling the coaches privately or in team meetings that it's a shitshow (because it is)

Why do we always play the whiners on the road unless it's playoffs

I do think that if Howie gets a good enough offer and can make the financials work (he managed the Wentz contract cap hit after the trade) then trading AJ is realistic this offseason. It's pretty much definite after 2026, but could happen after this season. I could see getting a nice package of picks, drafting a TE to pair with Smitty, Dotson and drafting a young WR mid-round. They will have Barkley, Bigsby and Shipley returning and if they beef up the O line they can return to dominant run game.

You haven't been right about anything. You continue to act as of this is nothing, isn't at all a distraction and AJ Brown has no issues remaining on this team. Which is all clearly not the case.

You are so far detached from reality.

Yeah, I dont even remember what happened in 2022 😅. But, most of his criticisms this year have been based in the reality that this offense isnt performing how it should perform. Even his complaint after the Giants game where he said something to the effect "using me but no using me" had some validity. One of his TDs came a dead on arrival play call that Hurts and him improvised into a TD.

While I prefer that he keep it in house, I dont mind him applying heat to the coaches to figure it out. Because they honestly deserve it.

Imo I don’t really care if we keep him or trade him this offseason. I would prefer to keep him because he is a top tier wide receiver in this league when he is being healthy, maximize and utilize properly. Add on the cap ramifications for doing so.

But I said this last year after the ravens game and people got on my case, they are far too many times in this offense where AJ Brown goes missing without even a target for 30 to 50 minutes of a game. last year when they were playing Baltimore he didn’t get a target from the end of the second quarter all the way until the end of the 2nd quarter against the Carolina Panthers. That’s almost an entire game worth of time, they didn’t even get him a target. So I can understand his frustration Imo that shouldn’t happen with our talent especially when the offense begins to stall repeatedly. Nacua, chose, lamb, st. Brown and these other top tier WRs aren’t dealing with this nearly as consistently as Brown. Meanwhile this year, the Eagles can barely get a first down for like 2,3 or 4 possessions and they just refuse to get him involved to try to jump start the offense.

Imo if you trade AJ Brown, you’re going to have to replace AJ Brown. Smith is one of the rare exceptions to being a diva at wide receiver. So even if you go out and get another great wide receiver (tougher than people think as smith is the only great WR we’ve drafted since DeSean/maclin), I imagine that WR is likely a diva too. If that WR is going from 3 mins left in the first to 33 seconds left in the 4th quarter without a target and then similarly happens a couple other games that it isn’t going to be peachy with that wr either

Ultimately, my frustration is you see Vic Fangio maximizing the talent he is given on defense. That’s not really been a problem for him and frankly he’s doing it with a giant hole at 2nd corner. And most of the year lack of pass rush with smith hurt, smith retiring and needing another pass rusher. The Eagles are not maximizing the talent they have on offense which is significantly better than most of the league. Sheil kind of alluded to this. But this is how I felt in 2023 and at times last year, the offense is living off our talent is better than your defensive talent and eventually that’ll win out.

Played them at home in 2023 in the regular season and got smoked in the game that started the collapse

Would it be a distraction if the media didn't report it?

I don't watch him streaming games. Do you?

I'd see his frustrations on the field and I'd agree with him but I don't check his private life like the media does

Reading the Blog on Monday and Tuesday, one has to conclude that the Eagles suffered a devastating loss on Monday. Oh woe is us, they were "outplayed” on defense and offense. Oh my, they must have been outgained by GB on the ground and in the air. Must have been that play going for it on fourth down with a half a minute in the fourth.

Wait, I don’t have YouTube and watched the Manning simulcast. Game I watched, they won. Against the pundits favorite to reach the SuperBowl for the NFC. Held them to 7 points. Great defensive showing by both teams. But Micah "Trip” Parsons got GB over the hump to favorites. Hey Micah, held Jacobs to 74 yards. When we add in Shipley and Tank, the Eagles outgained the Packers backs. But Trip, your sacks made the difference, right? Wrong! ZERO.

Now Hurts was a bit off but the coverage was pretty good by GB. Hurts did outproduce Love. AJ didn’t look quite right. I think his hammy isn’t quite there yet.

I am clearly in the minority but I loved the last play. Suspect Nick was scheming for Goedert but Hurts believed in his compadre and went for,the dagger. Let’s look at the options. Kick FG. Nasty wind, possibility of a block. Miss and GB gets the ball at the 45 needing three to tie it (think 54:yard FG attempt instead of 64), also closer for a Hail Mary. Punt? Clearly safer, right. GB had already gotten close to Mann twice and one shank. Best case is an angle out of bounds. I like Mann but he is no Donnie Jones. If he takes the safe kick, through the end zone, they gain fourteen yards. Daboll just got fired for being "safe” and losing a game. Going for it showed faith in the team. Stupid Beats and pundits don’t like it but I guarantee the team did.

Love what JP added. Eagles have a serious five man rotation at OLB right now.

I said he wasn't going to be traded - right

I said his teammates don't have an issue with AJ. Devonta and many others have come out publicly and talk about how much they love him. And it has been widely reported by everyone who covers the team how much the locker room loves him - right

I said Howie has no plans to trade him. Howie said after the deadline "We don't trade away players like that." - right

I said AJ is frustrated with the offense, but likes being in Philly. He has said publicly he likes being here and his coaches have said he likes being here - right.

#AlwaysRight #SoMuchWinning

And when he's here next season I'll be right yet again. And you'll just drop it and move on to the next thing to get hysterical about. As you always do. Stay losing.
