This is called BS. Eagles have converted 38 of 109 third downs this year. Does anyone believed that 29 of those 38 conversions are 3rd and long pass completions?

I think the coaches were aware that they'd see a lot of zone, and called plays to beat it. Obviously, the Devonta TD is an example. But we also missed on plays like the airballed post to Calculator or the underthrow to Smitty in the turkey hole, both of which are designed to attack the weaknesses of C2.

This site has all those numbers. Sure, that number sounds good, even though it is not totally accurate.

3rd and 10+, 20 of 22 for 296 yards. Sound amazing. What I look at, only 9 first downs. That means 11 of those completions are just inflating his completion percentage.

If you go 3rd and 4+, the numbers are most definitely amazing, except for 57 attempts and only 23 first downs.

40 - 3rd and 10+, 22 passes, 15 runs, and I am guess 3 penalties.

I would be interested to know if another team runs on 3rd and 10+ 38% of the time.

What is the difference giving them the ball right back after 3 plays via punt vs an INT? Bit of field position, sure, but eventually when you play good teams like the Rams or what we saw at the end of the Denver game it's going to wear your defense out and they are marching right back down the field anyway. I'd rather them not play scared and so focused on not turning the ball over that it paralyzes the offense like we are seeing. Be confident, use the fantastic weapons, make smart choices (Don't sling it like Wentz), but don't have fear or hesitation be the first thing going through his head. So if they are going to just take the ball and give it back it's not much better than a turnover in my mind.

Just did a quick look and I saw 15 times we did not pass on 3rd and 10+ and one of them was a kneel down. Could be off on that number though as I was not karking it down as I went along.
