Monday at 01:13 PM1 day I get the injury history with Phillips but he was really good with Vic when healthy. Have to think Howie would have held on to that 3rd if they didn’t think he was completely healthy.
Monday at 01:13 PM1 day On second thought, I don't see Howie bringing in a player and giving him an extension without playing a snap here before giving out extensions the young guys who have been here. Could ruffle the feathers a bit.

First round pedigree and a "Vic Fangio” guy - meaning he will likely play a large part in the defense much sooner than someone Vic isn’t as familiar with. It’s also a low risk - high reward move - meaning that although it cost a 3rd round pick, if we were not to resign him - decent chance we get a 4th round (maybe even better) comp pick back.Win - win scenario imo. One of Howie’s better FA moves of the year, imo. There’s definite risk. He’s had season ending injuries the past two years and medically retired from football while in college. He could also simply not play well. The drop from a top 100 pick in 2026 to a comp 4 is a big one in terms of a talent cliff.

He’s going to be a 1 year prove it deal.

Monday at 01:19 PM1 day 13 minutes ago, brkmsn said:I disagree. 4th down passes don't matter. All that matters is that a pass is thrown in the field of play so the play has a chance. The offense should know in the back of their minds that it is basically a punt if it gets intercepted and they should be ready to become tacklers. Defenses in that situation should know to bat the ball down and take no chances. Let me explain what you saw happen there:The WR realizes he steps out of the endzone and basically quits on the play. The DB makes the bonehead attempt to intercept the pass and actually bobbles it toward the WR who now has an opportunity to catch it because it touches the DB's hands first and the WR is reestablished in the field of play. Watch it again --- it was nearly a TD as much as it was nearly an INT. Doubs was back up to speed and would have made the tackle even if it was cleanly caught.Horrible take. The Packers are essentially at the goal line. It is 1000X better to throw it out of bounds instead of gift wrapping a potential pick 6. Your argument might apply if the Packers were at midfield in a totally different game scenario. But for the circumstance they were in, that pass is totally inexcusable."Boneheaded attempt to intercept the pass" it would have been a 105 yard pick six and it was thrown right at him. What are you talking about?
Monday at 01:21 PM1 day Eagles Edge vs the Giants:Jalyx Hunt, Josh Uche, Patrick Johnson, Jihaad CampbellEales Edge vs the Packers:Jalyx Hunt, Nolan Smith, BG, Jaelan PhillipsDoes Josh Uche even dress?
Monday at 01:21 PM1 day Listening to some of you whine, makes me wonder if you are still waiting for your 2nd testicle to drop. And the sad thing is, you will never be happy. They could have traded for Garrett and you would whine that they gave up too much. They trade a 3rd for Phillips with Miami eating a good portion of the money, and they gave up too much. They take a flyer on Carter and Alexander for last day picks, they suck. Nolan Smith, will never be healthy and while he was on IR, he lost his kidney and liver! Jalen Hurts, if it wasn't for a great team around him, would be a High School equivalent QB. The Eagles have the best record in the NFC and haven't even started rolling yet....which I think is coming. And guess f'ing what....say they lose every game the rest of the season, they have won 2 f'ing Super Bowls and been to 3 in 8 years. They are in the top 3 or 4 for wins since 2000, playoff appearances, playoff wins. God, I wish some of you had to endure the 80's and 90's with this team, THEN you could have something to really **** about.

Monday at 01:23 PM1 day It'll be interesting to see if Philips stays past the season and breaks the recent hoodoo of in season trades kind of sucking. A 3rd is a lot to pay for a rental.Who gets cut?

Phillips is not Sweat.

What are you talking about?Doubs was right there to make the tackle. He gave up on being the target because he wasn't eligible to touch the ball first, but he saw the DB and was closing in. There's no way in the world that would have been a pick 6. At best it would have been a touchback. If Doubs wouldn't have committed to tackling, he would have easily had the TD after the bobbled INT attempt. You're making way more out of it than it deserves. If that was any other down, I'd agree with you 100%. But on 4th down, that's a hail mary play.
