November 15Nov 15 Alright, time to get brack into college football - of course, Iowa-USC and maybe Texas-UGA tonight if I have the energy and inclination.

There were 2 instances where posters first response to me contained an attempted insult. aptos, and NOTW. Of course those interactions went how they should have figured theyd go when they started off with that tone. Of course though, I'm the troll.

In my narrow view so far, I see Bain, and the Arizona State WR as elite talents at their positions and possible top 5 picks, definitely top 10.Who are some other top 5-10 looking guys at this point?

Carter saved them the last two times and while they don't scare me I'm good avoiding them.

Bucs and 49ers.Theyve beaten Arizona twice, Washington, Jaguars, Saints, and Steelers. Not impressed.I dont see the talent on that team to beat us. And if we have any offense at all by the time we would play them, it wouldnt be close.
November 15Nov 15 Was catching up on some Eagles stuff and this quote really stuck out. We’ll never be a high-volume passing attack (and shouldn’t) but I’ve never seen a team struggle so much to get the ball to an Alpha receiver. I was looking at receiver route percentage and Brown was among the lowest in the NFL in crossing routes. It just makes no sense.

The 2024 Eagles were better than this version and the Rams took them down to the wire while every other team got absolutely steamrolled. That said, I am absolutely traumatized by playing in Seattle over the last 15 years. It never, ever goes well in big games.

It just makes no sense. It's not just Brown, the routes from Smitty and Dotson are almost exclusively vertical stems too. The only explanation is in his younger days, Patullo got his girlfriend stolen from a slot receiver who killed DBs with slants and drags, and now Kevin is out to prove that you don't need to run those routes to be successful at the highest level.

It does seem like the class is a bit thin of blue chip OTs, QBs and CBs which will push up other positions. I do like the WR class as they have a mix of body types, and good amount of X receivers (I feel like last year or the year before there were very few). Same with the DE/OLB, so it will be interesting on what ‘type’ of edge to focus on. Part of the reason why the OT class looks bad is because a lot of these guys seem to translate better at G, so I like our chances of finding a replacement for Steen. Not very impressed with the TEs available, as the college game seems to focus on F types that are fairly one dimensional and are kind of a luxury if you already have a good WR corps in place. A bunch of safeties, not too many 3Ts. CB is a bit difficult because it seems like we have physical thresholds that we’re looking for, specifically long speed.

Hes like 275 and strong, but still incredibly quick.
