Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Zero chance any coach gives up a possession for wind.

The only time where I would consider it in the NFL now would be in OT with the new rules. In wind like this, you would consider having the wind to your best advantage. I'm not sure if they'd do it, but it would be worth considering. One team did... but the message was messed up and instead of choosing to 'defend', the player said 'kick'. lol. IIRC, it was the Marty Morhinweg led Lions.

Any Lane update?

They should make Garrett wear an elf costume during the whole broadcast

The counter point is that Barkley commands defensive attention that Tank doesn’t.

As bad as our pass offense is, it might be even worse without that attention on 30% more plays.

That’s true. Barkley isn’t a great receiver but he probably makes life easier for the passing game as you said. Scary to think of what it might look like without him consistently on the field to draw the defense into the box.

Lurie making them force it to AJ Brown.

Lions offense also got a little momentum with their last drive. Would be nice if the D could force a 3 and out to start the second half. Gotta try to keep the score down with our woes on the offensive side.

You know how in War Games they teach Joshua by playing Tic Tac Toe?

Can we teach Patullo to sometimes run when they expect pass and pass when they expect run by playing Mike Tyson's Punch Out

Look, hes guarding high, hit him in the gut.

Look, hes guarding low, hit him in the face.

This Detroit offense still scares the **** out of me.

I can’t tell if there is an advantage either way with the wind..it would be interesting to see if Lions choose to take a field direction instead of the ball to start the 2nd half…I doubt Campbell would do it

It’s swirling. Balls seem to be dying going both directions.

Get some rest…Fred is doing just fine.

That drive was encouraging….hope they can build on it

thats 2 drives in a row. Just have to keep it up.

Its hard to know if there is a limiting effect to forcing the ball to AJ since the rest of the Eagles keep dropping passes.

Preach Collingsworth. We should be up at least 20-6, probably 23 or 27-6. We've had the best field position we've had all season and we sh..t the bed.

They need to get inside pressure on Goff.

It shouldn't.

Our defense should scare the ish out of them.

I think best case for eagles this year is to win the SB like the 2023 Chiefs. Sort of a diminished team that just knows how to win in a year where the nfl lacks a standout team.

No one in the nfl is scary this year or a traditional blueprint for success….including our Eagles. But the Eagles are a team that knows how to win and are better in the biggest moments.

They just aren’t that great. But no one else is either.

For me its not the offense as a whole, just the speed of Gibbs and Williams.

Mabey a late take...but calling Barkley down at the goal line was a blessing. Took another 16 seconds off the clock.

Yeah, they are a scary group. Don't want them to get in a rhythm.

As long as the Eagles can capitalize on their opportunities and score TDs and not FGs … they should be ok. I am confident the defense will regroup and adjust. I think the Lions have been more effected by the wind than the Eagles.

The three early drops didn't help. It's just always something with this group

Yeah. At that thing they call "play-action passing" looks to be very effective. We should try that.
