Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Someone is going to post a clip of Calcaterra running right between Campbell and Branch, not even trying to block either of them, and both getting the tackle on Barkley. I know I’m fond of saying "I could have done better”, but I would have done better.

At least Campbell pancaking me to the ground might have given Barkley the split second he needed to get extra yardage and a first down.

This is a thing that pisses me off with their coaching. No, you’re personnel. He has been here for years now and he hasn’t been able to block anybody for years. he’s not going to do it. Fing know your personnel and how to Fing use them.

Nothing for AJ to complain about after getting 11 targets tonight at least.

Its the same as his used but not being used game. The limited route tree is pathetic. He has no space. His yards per reception are a reflection of that. He doesnt just want targets. He wants to be used to the extent of his ability. Which doesnt happen here.

Having to pass was a reference to last week's decision.

Well that is true, but still.....on your own 30 up by ten I'm being very risky averse

As a point of reference, the Lions were a top 10 defense going into this game.

The Cowboys awful D is gonna look like the 85 Bears on Sunday

He can't be frustrated about not getting targets but there was zero improvement to the underlying cause of his frustration which is this offense being ineffective and not good enough to win deep in the playoffs as he articulated last week.

Many of y'all were scared of the Cowboys, Chiefs, Rams, Bucs in Tampa, Packers, Lions...

Stop being scared. The Eagles despite the struggles on offense are still the best team and know how to win.

There is severe dysfunction on offense from the plays being called, to the execution, to a major lack of discipline. Any of those would be an issue, but all three together are going to be a problem in the playoffs. Sky isn't falling, but it's dog crap.

Guessing we open as a 6-7 point favorite.

I’d bet it’s closer to 7-8

Exactly. The OC job is so much more than playcalling. Patullo is bad at that, but he just doesn’t put his players in the best chance to succeed. AJ’s route tree is absurd. Calcaterra is a disaster as a blocker. We don’t seem to sequence plays or set things up later in the game.

I said that at some point the teams would try those lateral passes and it would favor Detroits passing game with Gibbs. Eagles tried it and people complained that it was stupid. It wasnt stupid. We just didnt execute it well. But the forward passes werent working for either team because of the wind, so logically, you had to try it.

They got almost a yard on third down. They needed only a foot.

And they didn’t get it. Because it was never a layup.

I agree with Chris Collinsworth. The defense is a top unit in the league but the offense will come around by the end of the year. He mentioned Hurts running more and Barkley getting bigger runs.

I mean alot depends on the O-line and their health but I think the offense will get better by the end of the year. All that matters is that they find something by the playoffs. I dont expect them to play like this on offense all year. I'm also not saying they will turn into the greatest show on turf but they will get better in the next 2 months.

It is INFURIATING.

As is not using Bigsby for his willingness and violent running style to effectively run into a wall if need be. HE WILL GET THE YARD. Barkley looks a split second before hitting it.

Like on the short runway run where Barkley got hammered on as the alternative to the tush push.

I'm really tired of all the 10 yard sticks outs out of a bunch that the WRs take forever to get there since they are lined up way inside.

This team is not winning the bunch run game. Spread it out. Keep TE2 and TE3 off the field and win duo blocks and some 1 on 1s to make holes to run through.

Quickly exploit a spread out D having to commit to the pass or the run.

AJ and/or DeVonta get 1 on 1 coverage or a safety has to take themselves out of the run defense.

Those blitzing CBs now have to come from 6 to 10 more steps away in spread.

No? It hasn’t gotten better and we’ve played 10 games. There is absolutely no reason to believe it’ll change

The coach can step in at any time now, he's the captain of the ship. The fact that he hasn't is ultimately on him.

If you hire a babysitter who keeps leaving knives and alcohol sitting around within child's reach then it's on the parent for not changing babysitters at some point.

Nothing has been fixed. They still can't get plays in on time. The game plans are still lacking. They still run the same route concepts. And Sirianni has said they've gotten together multiple times to discuss the offense and improve it and this is what it looks like. If that's not the biggest indictment on your front man, I don't know what is.
