Yep. Nothing builds off anything. It’s like they are just selecting plays that they like at random. There’s no rhyme to it. When you factor that in and then calling plays that doesn’t fit those players strengths it’s not gonna work.

I felt this way in 2023 and even at times last year, this offense relies way too much on players just being better than the other team. If we schemed better with this talent, we would be unstoppable on offense with the talent we have. Problem is sirianni isn’t that type of HC and Kevin patullo is not experienced enough (probably not good enough) to be able to eventually adjust like Moore did in the nfc title game and Super Bowl.

We are in week 11. At some point in time going to have to say this offense is what it is. We are getting late into the season and it’s consistently the same most weeks. At some point in time you are who you are. The reality might be able to get it to where we expect it to be.

I’m curious to see if the Giants will hire Mike McCarthy as their next head coach. If not, I think Howie should bring him in, either as a consultant or as OC if they move on from Patullo.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Both GB and Detroit have good defenses. I think people forget that.

The Eagles have played some of the best teams in some tough conditions at times this year. It’s been unusual that way. I don’t want to say that’s a major excuse but it is a factor

Parks Frazier was interim OC in 2022 and not sure if he called plays, but if they are to make a change from Patullo, it would probably go to him. But I doubt it'll change much because it's not just the play calls themselves. Play calling alone does not impact an offense that much. If you execute and have good play design and a good game plan even badly selected plays can work. The former things are a far bigger issue than the actual selection of the plays on specific downs.

If they come out against Dallas next week and this offense looks pathetic, we have a big problems. Cause that defense has been terrible all year.

Lions d has been terrible all year too and we laid an egg

If you must go heavy then do it with an OL

Even if its Kendall or Lampkin its better than our pathetic TE2 and TE3.

Go with a DT5 to block before a TE3 if you have to.

I want to SUPER DUPER LIKE THIS. Remove the other TEs and go heavy. Every down. I dont care. Im done with non pass catching non blocking TEs. WHAT THE F is the point of that?

So many people said that the schedule was brutal and they would not survive, there are many games they won that a lot of fans thought they would lose. In 2023 they had that Gauntlet of a schedule and the defense was among the worst in the league, and they collapsed and had turnovers and the defense was terrible and they collapsed. This team is different, the defense is a top and the league and they are winners.

No? It hasn’t gotten better and we’ve played 10 games. There is absolutely no reason to believe it’ll change

How many times in the last two weeks have they been in 2nd or 3rd and short and a lack of discipline knocked them into 3rd and long? Anytime they were close to the sticks tonight I was waiting for a flag. That is just as concerning for me.

I really wonder if the defense will ever start forcing fumbles at the crazy rate they did last year. STs was in on it too forcing fumbles on punt and kick returns.

I dont think they can play much better than they already are schematically. But, punching that ball out more would be really nice.

Unfortunately we know Sirianni isn’t a bright offensive mind. Yes, it’s on him, but I expect him to not have the answers. Sucks to say it.

I don't think it takes a bright offensive mind to figure out what their issues are offensively. Which is really concerning or leaves room for optimism depending on your perspective.

But every time I hear Sirianni speak, he doesn't sound like a guy who thinks the offense needs a lot of change, which may be part of the problem.

The Eagles keep going up against the top teams when they are treating the Eagles games as their Super Bowl. They are taking their best shot … and leaving a ton of film behind for Vic and the offensive "brain trust” to study, learn and adapt.

This is pretty easy.

Kotite was was 21-11 with a playoff win and it did not mean he was a good coach. he had a great DC and he had some great players.

Siri is way better than Kotite but coaches don;t win games like a madden player at the controller.

Siri not only cost this team a SB win in 2022, he insulted us fans for daring to doubt Gannon. (remember that exchange?)

Siri was a bad coach in 2023. He was a bad coach 4 weeks into 2022. He shaved his head and listened to others and Kellen Moore helped him to be better.

He does not have that this year.

The 2 late decisions that gave the other team a much larger chance to win is all on him. its not good and its 100% on Siri.

Saquon can be a 2K back one year and a 3.2 ypc back the next It doesn't make him evil. The NFL is tough.

Coaches can also have good years and bad. Siri is having a bad year this year and the D is carrying him.

Hurts, DeVonta, Saquon, and others are stepping up by making "players make plays" type of plays to win some games Siri should probably lose.

Carter and Davis each blocked a FG to help him get out of his Matt Pryor at RT hole.

We are not bad fans for pointing out that 2025 Siri has to be better. He does.

Did he have lots of good will after 2024? yes

The problem is he chose to spend all of it by promoting his buddy to OC.

No one forced him to do that.

Howie does not need to fire him or anything drastic but he needs to get him back on track.

Daboll, Vermeil on a zoom call, Doug, A logic professor or a guy with a stopwatch drilling Patullo to get play calls in by 25 seconds. I don't care who it is. he needs another football mind to offset his funk.

That's why I keep saying they need to bring a consultant in. Doubt they will but they need to.

That's two weeks in front of a national audience seeing a dominant defensive performance.

The next three we'll be featured. Will help put Q on the map as an All-Pro.

This game shows how overrated sacks can be. Only 2 sacks, but as Collingsworth kept pointing out over and over and over again, Goff was constantly and consistently under immense pressure.

I just want those poor guys to get a rest and not to have to take a few plays off for a glorified water break and right back out. In a 17 game season that will have an impact as it goes on

We lost to Denver in large part because they didnt turn those pressures and hurries in to sacks.

Ill take it when it works. But I hate that narrative. Its often overstated.

We are so lucky to get Carter, Q, and DeJean to fall into our laps on back to back drafts.

That and grab an all world LT in round 7 as a project and you might be on the way to the best roster in the league.

Hats off to Nakobe...after that injury, where he wasnt supposed ever to get to his original form, he is playing awesome

I said earlier, with other teams around the league when they beat really good defenses, the top defenses in the league even, people say it was a good win to get out of there against the tough team. Obviously, we all want the offense to play better and they need to be playing better. But the Eagles have had the toughest schedule in the league, as reigning Champions they're getting everyone's best, the Lions had this game circled on their calendar and lost and were dominated by our defense.

I view it this way, I don’t think the Lions defense is great. Do I think they’re good? Yes, I do. However, I saw the Green Bay Packers in week one put 27 on that defense. I saw the Kansas City Chiefs, down their best wide receiver put up 30 on that defense. Baltimore who wasn’t playing well early in the season put up 30 on that defense. Heck JJ McCarthy, who not really Played that well managed to put up 27. Some of the lions defensive prowess is because they shut down teams like the bears week 2, Tampa with a ton of guys injured, the browns and commanders with mariota. AlsoThe lions on the road, are not as good defensively. Before tonight they were giving up 26.6 ppg. They were also down multiple players in this game on that side

We need to be real with what the eagle offense looks like right now. They have it in them to be really good. We’ve seen it at times. heck when they needed to against the Rams, they did it. Against Tampa Bay in the first half they looked really good. Against the giants in the second game it was best we’ve seen all year. So it’s in there. However we’ve got some big issues. An inexperience and looking like clueless OC. They have an offensive line problem. they have a running game problem. Their star WR looks like he’s aged 10 years since last year. Guys committing dumb penalties in big spots. Our HC making reckless decisions. Jalen hurts as much as I like him, hasn’t played great since the bye. He has been ok but not at a level he probably expects. It’s really a bunch of different issues.

One could take issue with the 4th down decisions Sirianni has made the past two weeks …. but the Lions need to hire someone to distract Dan Campbell whenever 4th down approaches. He’s an absolute disaster of decision making.

I disagree strongly with this assessment.

If anything, I’d say pressure is overrated and sacks are underrated by comparison.

Pressure can still result in completions and big plays. In fact, it is often when you get pressure that defenses get burned. An athletic QB feels pressure and runs for a big gain, a QB sees a blitz and hits an open receiver with space to run into, a desperation jump ball is thrown which results in PI.

A sack is so valuable because it is a double whammy — you lose yardage AND a down. If it comes on first or second down, then converting third down becomes much more difficult, and if it’s on third down it almost always results in you regaining possession.

Yes, it worked today because Goff is immobile and got rattled. Better, more athletic, more composed QBs make the pressure meaningless unless you convert that pressure into something tangible.

I didn’t think Campbell’s fourth down decisions were that bad except the fake punt against our starting defense. And I thought he should have gone for it on 4th and 10 with 4 minutes to go at his own 30.
