But he is operating the offense that is called. Sure he and AJ did their thing last week on 4th down but they’d done that before several times. The play design is not good. He isn’t re-designing the playsI’m not a local, but I thought Gunn was well respected and well connected, no?As for the reports, nothing is really new. Hurts has previously been called standoffish and hard to get close to. We know about going rogue against Seattle. Last week against GB was different. That was just a check, but if you’re frustrated with him or the offense, it’s easy to call it "rogue.” The part we don’t know is if he’s turning down throws that the coaches are telling him to make. It’s hard to say because Sirianni doesn’t call out players publicly and he’s been talking about limiting TOs and being safe with the ball. Give up runs on third down would back that up.

Patullo just doesn’t know how to call plays well. He’s bad at it

November 17Nov 17 I saw some people on Twitter point out that Lions supposedly defended the tag push a tad differently, having Anzalone crash hard at Hurts to wrap up so he couldn’t keep his legs moving. Maybe that makes us line up a bit differently with the "pushers” to chip and release so to speak.
November 17Nov 17 I cannot believe the immediate impact that Phillips has had here. He’s taken this unit from pretty good to elite over the past two weeks. He was abusing Sewell last night and that’s not an easy task.

Theyre going to call neutral zone infraction or not, I don't like trying to game the system that way. It's not the role of the offensive lineman to try and sway the refs. Let the coaches handle that
November 17Nov 17 I know everyone is concerned about looking past a team and risking a win to rest players, but this isn’t that. We’ve crossed a line where a healthy Toth and Fred Johnson are better for the offense than what they are getting from Jurgens and Lane. And I’m starting to wonder if the same can be said for Dickerson sitting for Pryor.A healthy OL that stays in the game and doesn’t hobble around the field is going to give them a better game than our starters at this point. It’s not about "benching” someone. It’s clear they aren’t healthy enough to play.

Got washed out of a big play by Gibbs. Only time i noticed him in a bad way.But Dean somehow became an athlete after this injury. Campbell can sit and continue to learn for a bit.

November 17Nov 17 Do I believe Patullo sucks and is in over his head....yes! But there is definitely a "Cause and Effect" situation going on....They are playing the elite of the NFL in teams and defenses.....I mean jesus, KC, Green Bay, Detroit, Minnesota, Denver, Tampa, etc.....except for the Giants and Dallas (which was game 1 and they were fired up).....it seems every week we are playing a team with a great defense and a lot of them have been on the road. Our Offensive Line is NOT right. The injuries have absolutely had an effect. From Dickerson, to Jurgens to Lane and even a lesser extent Mailata....lack of cohesion and players playing when they aren't close to 100% has moved this unit from Exceptional to Above Average.Conditions - I know BOTH teams have to play in them, but not only did we play strong defenses the last two weeks, but the games took place in brutal conditions, especially wind-wise, which might also help explain how the Eagles Defense now looks like the '86 Bears or '00 Ravens. And AJ can cry all he wants....the eye test shows me, he is getting ZERO separation, no explosion. Something is wrong with him (and I'm not talking about mentally).Which brings me to Barkley, I was under the impression that yes...last year might have some effect on him. And yes the Offensive Line issues might also effect him and the ground game. But when you see Tank EXPLODE through the line and tacklers......this is what Barkley did last year and HE IS NOT able to do that this year. Maybe last year isn't have "some effect" but "total effect". So.....when you put Putzullo on top of all these issues.....I guess I am just happy that we are 8-2 and not 5-5 (like KC).

The time may come soon to trade Nolan Smith, after re-signing Phillips.Campbell as we’ve seen has top 5 LB in the league potential…tying big money to Dean when you have a cost controlled option for a few years is probably not the best move considering who else is coming up to ink paper. Campbell needs a lot more weight to even think about full time edge. We complained for 20 years about square pegs in round holes. Campbell is an off ball LB.
November 17Nov 17 Dominating defensive performance last night - one to remember.Offense never got going - possibly Hurts worst game over the past 2 seasons in terms of "accuracy”. - he was off almost all night and the receivers were almost as bad - between dropped passes, lazy routes, alligator arms, etc Running game below average - should have stuck with it more, imo. All that said - this offensive line has issues - especially the interior line but the outside isn’t much better. Jurgens just needs stay out until he’s healthy - having him in and not being able to run certain plays because he can’t block them does not work in the NFL. Time to see what Lampkin can do, imo. Even with all the offensive strife - Eagles fans have something to be excited about because we beat some of the best teams in the NFL without playing our best game yet and we are 8-2. That’s actually really impressive and what’s even better is that our defense is the best defense in the NFL - bar none. GO BIRDS! 🦅
November 17Nov 17 The Eagles D is godly, that O is a mess. It has no variety in it and no surprise elements. Regardless of if Hurts is freelancing or not, its just bland. The Lions do their best to have variety within the same look, this O is just run verticals or outs to pass. Its crying out for intellect in it. Hurts just chucks bombs and it comes off enough of the time. Now, the Lions D were up for it, but their job is made easier because its so predictable. No point in having all that talent if the kitchen keeps making ham and cheese sandwichesDid I say how good the D was?
