Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Has Mukuba elevated his game from promising to reliable?

Changes I’d make on offense:

  1. Start Fred Johnson and Toth until Lane and Jergens are actually healthy enough to not limp everywhere they walk.

  2. Dotson isn’t some pro bowler in hiding waiting to be discovered. But his per target efficiency is awesome. Part because defenses barely pay attention to him, part because the Eagles barely pay attention to him. But he is a spark. Come out firing to Dotson. No one will see it coming. And start giving Dotson some of AJ Brown’s reps in 2 wr sets. At least you’ll get better effort.

  3. Barkley is averaging 3.8 ypc. Tank is way, way above that. Not saying he’s better (he’s not). But Barkley has lost a gear from last year. He needs less carries if he is to get it back. 3.8 ypc is useless replacement level production. There is no reason not to ensure fresh legs and drastically reduce Barkley’s touches if that’s all that’s happening with them. So get a true rotation going.

  4. Tell Hurts an INT here and there with a viable pass attack is better than what he’s doing right now. If the passing game doesn’t evolve, they’ll hit a wall in the playoffs. He’s passing not to turn it over.

IMO, no

He’s gotten better for sure. Not having your name called as a safety is probably good

Campbell as we’ve seen has top 5 LB in the league potential…tying big money to Dean when you have a cost controlled option for a few years is probably not the best move considering who else is coming up to ink paper. Campbell needs a lot more weight to even think about full time edge. We complained for 20 years about square pegs in round holes. Campbell is an off ball LB.

I agree with this in theory, but the difference when Dean is on the field is significant.

To be fair, one of the tush push penalties was just a flat out miss by the refs.

Missed that one however this had been a pretty consistent theme by the eagles in most of their games besides the giants this year.

Vs. dal: 9-110

At KC: 6-48

Vs. rams: 5-50

At Tampa: 8-83

Va. Den: 9-55

At NYG: 4-46

At MIN: 8-64

Vs. NYG: 5-30

At GB: 7-61

Vs. det: 9-78

So their average is 7 penalties for 62.5 yards. 19th in penalties per gam. 27th in the league in penalty yards. In 2024 they were ranked 3rd with 45.7 and in penalties per game 10th. Granted penalties per game they averaged around 6 last year.

On the PI call that has X's collective knickers in a knot

The earlier incompletion to AJ down in the red zone was much worse, where AJ got tangled up on that little in breaking route. The Eagles, particularly Sirianni, got very lucky there

Tank Bigsby has been a jolt of energy when he gets the ball. He's averaging 7.6 YPC and always seems to go forward. He deserves more touches. I'd love to see him get 8-10 carries/game.

The Lions never led, they lost because they were 0-5 on fourth downs

It wasn’t the refs. F those ho’s

Agree. I suppose,as you say, we didn't see how Ya Sin was grabbing throughout the game. Perhaps the official felt like enough was enough

I don’t know, I’ve seen NFL officials make calls like that late games. It feels like at least a couple times a week a big call is made in crunch time that’s questionable. the officials make themselves known at the end of the game.

That said, the more egregiously called penalty was when AJ Brown slipped, fell into the lions DB and they called him for a 15 yard penalty for a blocking to the lower bod. I don’t know how anybody watches that play and thinks he purposely went to block. Like what exactly were you watching to get that conclusion. In real time and on replay, it didn’t match up

Tbh a lot of penalty related issues would be solved if you had guys reviewing every penalty to justify it and if they disagree rule down to the officials before the next play.

BG continues to make a huge play every now and again. Here, he totally stuffs the hole.

I know he’s been mentioned over and over but he’s one more time….

Nakobe Dean has elevated his game beyond words - against 2 of the better offenses in the NFL over the past two weeks. He’s been dominating out there - not only crushing his assignments - he’s been rolling over people any chance he gets. Wow - just wow.

I agree with all of this but regarding 4 I broadly agree and assume the caution will be removed when it's knockout games in the playoffs, but Sirianni said in a pre game presser that their offensive philosophy is to win the turnover battle by taking care of the football, Hurts isn't the handbrake.

AJ was being pulled to the ground on that red zone play. Couldn't believe it wasn't called

I'm very happy the Eagles are 8-2. I think they can beat anyone and quite frankly I feel good about Jalen stepping up in the playoffs as well.

That said Patullo just is a really bad play caller. Some guys aren't good at it. He could get better. Steichen was considered a bad play caller in San Diego when he was there before Eagles. But the problem is today Patullo stinks

Apparently...DGUNN is saying Hurts is a problem and is a standoffish **** in the locker room.

He is going rogue, not following gameplans. Pissing off teammates who are upset plays are being missed.

He isn't afraid to get benched due to his contract.

He does have a standoffish vibe to him but I doubt that's an actual problem in the locker room

How many times has he gone rogue that we actually know of? He's able to audible whenever he wants and it's only on 4th down plays where it's noticeable

I feel like the missed Xpt really messed with how DET played on 4th down. Down by 7 everything was TD or bust, down by 6 maybe you take a FG or play field position once in awhile rather than doubling and tripling down at every opportunity.

He's been better since coming back from what I feared could be a career ending injury. He's a man on a mission, and just blowing up offenses. There's been few times I've ever had as much of an about face on my feelings of a player. 2 years ago, I thought he was a JAG. No more disrespect on Nakobe Dean's name! He is a player!

Well, that and so does our offensive line at run blocking and our QB was piss poor yesterday. Honestly, the only team in the league beside the Eagles that scores only 16 points with the field position our defense gave our offense yesterday is the Titans. Every other team in the league scores in the 20s or more and walk away with a a comfortable win.
