I think Campbell with be a multiple time all pro at LB or edge. Wherever he settles in.

Nolan Smith is a possible occasional pro bowler but he's not compiling sacks even when healthy this year and is injury prone.

When contracts come up, he's a guy id be afraid to overpay. And when he goes and plays well elsewhere, I'd be at peace with that decision still.

Nolan is one my draft guys, I love how he plays - but when it comes to free agent money, the team can't afford to pay for players who routinely miss time. We just don't have the slack.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Les is actually spot on with this

Not sure how reliable, but definitely kind of sounds like my theory about player soft approach is burning them. I know Lurie and Howie want it from top down, but Fangio ignores that and is like 'Here, I'll prove my worth with the results', and I think Nick could use some of that too. People might get benched for doing that kinda stuff to Fangio if true.

My bad, I read your original post wrong. I thought you were talking about the play last night.

I could see Brown saying that. It wouldn't shock me if others like Dotson who he rarely looks to thinks that as well. I doubt they would want to go on record.

That’s where you lose me with the internet tough guy stuff. Siriani still has near the best winning pct in Super Bowl era. It’s not an accident as much as fans here want to say it is to fit their narrative

He’s a beneficiary of tremendous talent around him. He had some great coordinators that have done a great job as well. But when we need him to step in and fix one side of the ball or at the very least support, he can’t do it. He couldn’t do it in 2023, he can’t do it now.

When Siri is no longer here, he will disappear like Doug P did, guarantee it

Not great for aj brown but watching the other receiving options on those plays, no one is really getting open. The only play where another receiving option is remotely open and has separation is the second to last play where goedert is open. Aj has his issues but we are also lackluster scheming guys open

I think it's tough to argue that Sirriani's approach with the players hasn't been successful since it overwhelmingly has by any measure

This is honestly Stout's worst year here as a coach. The line doesn't look ready for games and isn't disciplined. Injuries have happened every year, but they haven't looked like this. He also hasn't coached up a young guy in the last two years outside of MB. Granted, Howie hasn't given him much to work with. We are lucky to have him, but they look off in ways we haven't seen since he's been here.

I think Goff was grateful for the DPI at the end of the game. He avoided additional punishment from our defense.

It was Steen

Steen tapped the guys hands that were in the neutral zone...then he got called instead of the Lion player

AJ's not a quick twitch WR, his best separation routes have always been slants and crossers. Haven't used him as much on those since 2022. My guess is because Sirianni is afraid to have Hurts throw over the middle, which is ridiculous.

I agree with this in theory, but the difference when Dean is on the field is significant.

Yes, but the spike in quality of play from the DL is a huge part of the D right now too. Dean was absolutely on another level last night, some real hard decisions to come the next few years.

Once again quitting on plays.

I thought there was PI there slowing him down.

Why aren't any of the routes across the middle of the field? Every think is vertical.

We run a few routes the majority of the time in Siri/KP scheme. Hitch, out and 9 route. It’s all we do. Rarely do we even run a slant route. It’s a travesty with this amount of talent that it’s wasted by such stupidity with this coaching staff. Maybe I’m wrong, maybe it’s more of a hurts thing. But he’s shown glimpses of being a serviceable qb. The scheme is so bad and we don’t have the creative minds to fix it

The eagles have Campbell listed at 235, Hunt at 252, and Smith at 238

Campbell needs anywhere from 3, to 15 pounds to fit the mold of one of our full time edges. Not much at all.

Side by side the 2 and come back to me.

Saw a stat something something sacks 12+ for x straight years.. Garrett and LT! They are just the bestest!

Yeah, Garrett is averaging 13 sacks a year over 9 in Cleveland for 117.5

LT averaged 12.7 sacks a year over his best 9 (and part of the streak they mentioned) for 114.5

Reggie averaged 15.5 sacks in only 8 years as an Eagle and he missed 4 games due to a strike. 124 in 1 less year.

He had 13 more in Green Bay for 15.2 sacks a year and 137 total

You can squint and give Bruce Smith 108 if you throw out a 5 game injury year in the middle...

Reggie is still the GoaT

It's been that way for a while, even before Patullo. There must be something in the water that makes four different OCs avoid passing the ball between the hashes.

So your argument is that in 5 years with a record winning percentage, 2 Super Bowls and 1 Championship he's not good because one year after a 10-1 start things fell apart?

I think going vertical is a simple way to attack both man and zone (if you're not looking throw into windows) provided that you get good protection.

It definitely seemed like our receivers were absolutely blanketed all night - I think the Detroit corners did a lot of grabbing/holding to keep our guys close and the officials let them do it (until the end when they called a weak one).

Only really saw bad effort on the one play by AJ

Siri should have been fired after 23

I'm only basing this on my own perception but, added to AJ Brown's "falling out" with Hurts, I don't think DeVonta Smith is all that fond of Hurts' play either -- just judging by body language and interactions we see on the sidelines. I'm not trying to be provocative with that; it's just a feeling I get. I think they get along well off the field, but I think there are some frustrations on the field.

Didn't Smith say Mac Jones a few years ago when asked which QB he thought was the best he's played with? People at the time took that as a shot at Tua, but he played a little bit with Hurts at Alabama too.
