I don't like how they handled the Rock Ya-Sin DPI at the end - you can't go the whole game letting them play and then tighten up at the 2 minute warning. What are we doing here, trying to make people crazy?

Agreed 100%. It was a lousy call, and as Collingsworth correctly pointed out AJ was just as guilty of a push off, if not more guilty.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Lisfranc injury for Lane, out 4-6 weeks

Offense about to be a lot worse if that's even possible

In Fred we trust

It definitely seemed like our receivers were absolutely blanketed all night - I think the Detroit corners did a lot of grabbing/holding to keep our guys close and the officials let them do it (until the end when they called a weak one).

The O is too heavy on stop routes. Having 1 or maybe 2 built into a play is fine, but it seems way too often everyone is running a comeback or a curl with maybe 1 clearing route. Part of the reason the scramble drill is so ineffective is most of the time the WR is stopped and turned to the QB once the internal timer goes off. Then they’re scrambling around trying to read what’s behind them…which is often a wall of DB’s

At least the Eagles play a bunch of bad defenses coming up. So far they’ve played 6 of the top 10.

Chicago isn’t a good defense

Cowboys 😂

Bills defense is pretty bad

Hopefully it helps them get into a rhythm.

I missed that, glad to hear a former WR can see it from the other side.

Romo is bugging me these days with 'they could've called defense holding here or roughing there stuff'... I don't need the flag begging from the booth, we get enough of that on the field.

I think going vertical is a simple way to attack both man and zone (if you're not looking throw into windows) provided that you get good protection.

There was way too much single high with everyone on the line and DB’s in press that we saw last night to have not challenged that outside of the missed Barkley throw. Honestly it was straight up blatant visual disrespect to our O’s ability to move.

Probably looking at the commanders game

At the earliest. More probable if it’s 4-6 weeks the bills game. However if they have the 1 locked up or a lead by a game going into that bills game then I’d assume he sits til week 18 or possibly first playoff game

So nothing any other coach can’t do? Lol. Look around, the league is filled with that exact description of leader. Every team with a winning record and some with losing records share that exact type of leader.

What makes him great? What separates him as a legitimate great coach? If you put him on the panthers right now, you think they’d have the record they have?

No, the league isn't. Most teams have a talented coordinator that has been elevated to head coach. Most of whom flame out because there is more to winning than game planning and play calling. There are plenty of former head coaches now back as coordinators after a failing at being in charge. Quality leadership is the rarest quality in this league.

Knowing Lane it won't be 6 weeks. Lucky for the Eagles, the tough defense part of the schedule is over and they play a lot of weak defenses the rest of the way.

Kind of hope they can start to figure out the run game during this stretch or find some rhythm or some more go-to plays just by staying on the field longer against these subpar defenses.

Agreed - take the shots or scramble behind it.

That sounds bad.

At least Fred Johnson looks like Lane's in house replacement for next year.

Gotta be Lanes last season. He seems to get significantly injured every game

They now have a whole week of practice to adapt.  Get another OL ready to be on the field in Jumbo.

Too bad the Cowboys don't have Micah to take advantage.

They have to lean on Tank more in the run game. He has some juice. Let him wear a defense down a bit for Barkley.

On the PI call that has X's collective knickers in a knot

That’s exactly what I saw. Lot of hand checking. Just like in roundball, never hand check on top of the arm as that keeps the player from moving the arm up and is a foul. AJ used absurd body movement to accentuate the blocked right arm so the ref couldn’t help but see that blocking move. Only gets called maybe 1 out of 3 times but it is PI.

He’s reached the Jason peters portion of his career. Just feels like every game he comes in and leaves now. This is a more serious injury. But yeah i could see him retiring at the end of the season

Agreed - I don't think Saquon has slowed down, but maybe more Tank on 1st down just because he's more decisive.

Might be starting Toth and Fred. Tbh I’d love to see what Lampkin could do if jurgens is also out
