Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

I’m a big Jalen Hurts supporter but the different play caller while true is a bit obscuring the fact that the Eagles O has been largely the same since Sirriani got here

It’s Siriannis offense and will always be his offense, until Howie and Lurie force the issue. The guys calling the plays are just selecting different items off the same menu.

Even with Moore nothing changed drastically.

Wentz was 35-32-1 in Philly.

He fought with Alshon.

He fought with Doug.

He shoved his personal brand of religion in everyone's faces.

he showed visible sadness and envy when the team won the Super Bowl (its on the America[s game vid)

He was seriously injured every year as a starter.

He lasted a whole 5 or 6 plays in his only playoff game.

Wentz was all about personal glory. Hurts is about the team winning.

Its like lookin' into a mirrah!

Hurts is the anti-Wentz

Bigger question for me today is who backs up F. Johnson now? Pryor can't play.

Look at Seth's facial expression knowing he has to share a set with that shock jock vermin, D-Gunn.

Where are Hinton and cam williams in their development?

Can we go back to the guy that selected the premium items off the menu and not the one that's on a budget?

Seth addressed what DGunn said on WIP today

He's like the only option now right? The projects are IRed, no idea who's on the PS...😬

  • "The offense is going to look how I want it to"

  • The offense looks the same and struggles with the same things that we have for years despite different OCs

  • "There are people in the locker room that are frustrated with the QB situation. Wentz 2.0"

TATE: "Damn it Patullo!"

To be as clear as possible, Patullo obviously has some issues. Sirianni has issues. The OL has issues. Hurts has issues.

That doesn't mean Hurts is the issue. All of these things can be true so let's stop pretending Hurts isn't included.

Thank you for the edit. All are responsible. The Head Coach is ultimately responsible for everything. If he allows the QB to dictate the offense, that's a problem that the coaching allows it. By extension, Howie and Lurie would know that and they allow it too. I don't take the Hurts comment that literally, that he is dictating what the Head Coach and OC are allowed to do. I think he was annoyed at questions from the reporters, but that's just my take. I do believe he goes rogue sometimes, and sometimes they players have credited him with calling something that resulted in TDs. QBs are allowed to call audibles, and they also get some leeway the more experienced they are and if they've proven to have success.

The offense however doesn't look the same as it has prior years. In prior years they were among the top in the league, Hurts was a runner up MVP, the two star WRs both had back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons. This year is not the same.

People say Hurts won't throw to the middle, then he does. They say he can't throw deep, he's one of the better deep passers. They say he won't throw the ball away instead of taking a sack, he throws the ball away to avoid a sack. They say...fill in the blank.

Every QB has flaws, Hurts too. The coaching has to play to his strengths.

Just have to accept the fact it’s probably Toth depending on Jurgens status. Beyond that, Pryor I guess. Maybe they cross train Steen for an emergency

Only one to do that really was Steichen and he’s not getting fired anytime soon

Siri is unserious. Really unprofessional to do some of the things he does.

He was jawing with Mayfield too. I don’t really care about it but if I had to bet money on the first HC to get a taunting penalty, I’d put my house on Sirianni.

Sure wish we had Stoll at this point. Calcaterra is a nice pass catcher but can't block to save his life and we need the blocking from our TE2.

Yup. Blocking is TE2's primary role. We might be better using Pryor, Keegan, Kendall, etc. as TE2 in an OL6 role.

Could you imagine him and daboll on the sideline together. Holy crap lol

It's hard to see how this situation is analagous at this point. The rumors about the lockeroom and Wentz started in the 2019 season. Even after the awful 2020 season, the Eagles still wanted to keep Wentz. They told Sirianni Wentz would be the QB. It seems like the team is a long way away from the kind of decision where they would move on from him. Hurts has limitations but I don't think one of them is coachability. The complaint about Wentz was that he was refusing to run certain plays. Maybe Hurts wants to avoid designed QB runs. He doesn't shy away from the tush push. His reluctance around other plays is based on his skillset and he just doesn't make certain throws. I could see where there are questions about how long he can be an effective QB if he has to run the ball. I doubt any of the FO is thinking about moving on from him in the near future.

We needed good news …… roll

Is he really pointing at Goff though? I thought he was just celebrating the defensive stop.

@NOTW

Won't let me quote for whatever reason, but to clarify I meant that there are things the offense has struggled with on and off over the years. Being garbage at screens, for example.

Not that the offense was identical

An audible isn't borderline insubordination.

It's more likely he's looking at Campbell or someone on the Lions bench. Campbell didn't throw him down on the field like an empty jacket in the handshake, though.
