Cowboys beating up on bottom dwellers.

I really like the Boys offense its stacked, really big athletic O line great receivers tough running game, say what you will about Dak but he can sling it and schottenheimer knows how to design an offense and call plays.

If big Ds D didnt suck so bad and the raiders werent flaming trash id be worried.

I think if Sirianni had a QB more like his prototype (Phillip Rivers) it'd be different, but as of right now, yeah, he needs someone more experienced with mobile type QBs who lean towards play extension rather than timing, or one of those rare type of offensive minds that can just handle whatever type.

He has a guy like rivers, his name is tanner mckee, big arm, cant move, quick release, can read a D, and id agree Siri and Hurts arent a good fit but hurts isnt going anywhere which is why Siri needs an OC that isnt him.

When people say who would you bring in. We aren't the ones hiring for the position. The team has a lot more connections than we do. There has been plenty of college assistants or coordinators that have had success in the NFL as well. Regardless it was a questionable hire. In hindsight it's terrible.

I like Tanner's measurables a lot fit wise, but yeah I don't think we'll see him either. He'll get traded to some awful team and ruined most likely. And yep, agreed on the last part (especially the why).

The Falcons might have swung and missed on QBs lately but I dont think they'd do that. Maybe if McKee has played in some meaningful games and played really well. But so far that hasn't been the case.

Im a big mckee fan, mostly cuz hes a mormon, but yeah unless hurts falls off a cliff I cant see him going anywhere anytime soon.

Backup qb is always the most popular player in philly😀

I was intrigued by Carroll and Chip coming back. To waste it on Geno is a shame

And in hindsight, we need to recognize the limitations of the choices available. Like I said, the coaching carousel had stopped by the point in time they made that hire. So, you are dipping into the college ranks or into the retirement pool. Is there someone out there that you could say, "Yeah... that guy.!"?

My point in asking for specifics is to bring the conversation out of the hypothetical and idealistic, and down to the cold hard reality of the timeline that this went down. It isn't as easy as snapping your fingers and hiring someone, you need that someone unattached to another NFL franchise, or to get permission from that franchise to potentially crew themselves by giving the Eagles a chance to raid their coaching staff, putting them in a tough spot.

Highly doubtful, but I never thought the Eagles would get a 2nd round pick for AJ Feeley or Kevin Kolb, or a first for Sam Bradford. So... its worth a call.

Steichen was with Siri in Indy if I remember but seems his offensive mind was different than Siris, which is why Steichen took over play calling.

I just dont think Siri could call play hos way out of a paper bag, which is fine but just makes it that much more important that he has someone on his staff that can and Patullo obviously isnt that guym

If the Falcons crash and burn the rest of the year, most likely they fire Raheem Morris and start over with a new coach, new philosophy, new everything. Who knows if a new coach wants Penix but I'd give him another year at least. If he's not it or ends up getting hurt again then move on. They dont have a 1st this year if I'm not mistaken so might as well stick with him in 2026.p

Steichen came from SD but my point is, if the second year OC who took over play calling the year prior is an "outside influence" then anyone not named Sirianni or Patullo is also an outside influence by that definition. And if "needing an outside influence" is another way of saying Sirianni/Patullo can't do one of the primary responsibilities of their job, then I think I know where most of the problem is.
