Hypothetical- assume AJ Brown is not on the team next year. Who is your ideal WR2?

It can be a player you straight up trade for him. Probably nearly impossible to get equal value in a WR for WR swap.

It can be a young up and coming WR.

It can be a free agent signing you think would be an adequate starter.

It can be a draft pick.

Give me one or give me a list. Even a few from each category if you like.

I try to keep Dotson for cheap and sign Wan'dale Robinson for a cheap deal. I think he'd be a decent #2 for Smitty

I think Smith, Robinson, Dotson and a pick is sufficient. Obviously the upside isn't there like it is now

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

I'd love to see a horizontal element to the offense, someone like a St. Brown or Shakir. Someone who could take a jet sweep or a reverse and stretch the field sideline to sideline.

We don't really have that element right now

AJ knows the right thing to say but just won't do it. The Saquon comment is totally out of line. He made this mess, and doesn't need to bring other players into it.

To me, it tells me that he 100% knows what he's doing is wrong. Misery loves company but Saquon would never ever go there, nor would Smitty or literally anyone else on the team.

I heard Willie Colon say that if Art Rooney had to pull him aside and he still couldn't shut his mouth, he'd just pack his own bags. That's where AJ is headed if he continues to act like a child.

Not a single thing he's said has been helpful to the team in any way. It's only about him and it's 100% transparent.

I disagree that what AJ has said has not been helpful to the team at all. I thank god he is doing it and wish this would have happened, and been properly addressed years ago.

Seems plausible. I like Dotson. Unfortunately for him being in this offense, hes still relatively unproven. Id much prefer to have him stay on as a #3 (ideally with a QB who gets him the ball more).

But Wan'Dale is a good enough slot guy that he can almost function as your #2 even though hes your slot.

Thats not a bad WR corps. Cost effective I think.

Id be shocked if the Giants let Wan'Dale go. Hes a nice player that shouldnt break the bank.

Hurts doesn't like to throw over the middle. I don't think they'd be used well.

Best i can do is quez watkins

I think he's made big strides in that regard. His stats throwing between the numbers this year are legitimately good IIRC.

Sirianni loves the tunnel screens but they use Smitty for that and it's not ideal.

And it might actually add a threat when we use motion.

Probably a pipe dream as you indicated, but that's just my 2 cents.

We had it and Kellen Moore was supposed to utilize it. It never came to fruition. Paris Campbell was excellent with that stuff.

The eagles brought in a couple other speedy options seemingly to try to fill that role last year. John Ross was another option. Ainias Smith profiled well there even if he wasnt a burner, with his RAC ability. Covey theoretically would have done well with that stuff due to his return skills.

Of course a lot of nice stuff disappears from the offense.

Its still in progress.

More than players, we need a better scheme. This team has the talent on offense, which is what's so frustrating watching the offense struggle.

The media always asks questions. He has to answer them better if he wants them to go away. He was a journalism major in college, and by now regardless he should know that. He also opens things up with social media posts. I disagree with fans and media making mountains out of mole hills, but he also brings it on himself. Hurts and Siri deflect that nonsense when asked. Most players do as well.

Fair enough

They'll stop asking questions when he stops giving childish answers. He could be in full control but instead he feeds into it. If he gave hurts-like answers, he'd get fewer questions about that stuff because the media will realize they ask those questions and get nothing or ask real questions and get something they can use

They will NEVER stop asking questions. Unfortunately.

Not in this case. Brown built the fire, gathered the kindling and then lit the match. The media is only fanning the flames that he created.

Doesn’t make I any better. If the media were to evaporate forever he would have no audience pandering to him.

We can agree to disagree.

That’s still the rule but they only activated Smith, Bennet and Cooper by my count with opening Hintons practice window, so they have plenty left.

Dean too

Nice try Bills but this game is over. Texans just too tough.

Allen with another pass right to the dirt.

I think Josh Allen just needs to be more decisive.

Now Allen took a sack again instead of throwing it away. Some would call that trash.

I think it's about time you guys got some positive spin from me.

I posted this 1 year ago (I don't know how to quote the locked threads):

"I like that this team is 11-2 and has drama and people yelling at each other.  How does that look if you are an opposing team or fan? These guys are 11-2, coasting against legit playoff teams, everything is working….and they are all pissed off, fighting, and angry. This team has the mentality of a Monday morning WIP caller after an ugly win.  Rather than bemoan the drama, we should celebrate it.  I think they are rattling their own cage at this point and it seems to be working."

There is something unusual about this team and drama. They do well with it. Honestly, if they were 8-2 and defending SB champs and the message from NovaCare was that everyone should be basking in their excellence...then I'd be annoyed and would lead the charge. You think the blog is bad? WIP callers? What about the damn Eagles players and coaches? It's freaking defcon 1. They are all pissed off and think they all suck.

What do you think the Cowboys or Lions or anyone else thinks of this? They are 8-2, defending champs, and they are all absolutely miserable. That's intimidating. There is no motivational deficit or sense of accomplishment. The mentality of this defending SB champion team is that they are some NY Jet-like unacceptable abomination. I don't say that as someone complaining about the complaining. I think it's awesome. This is not some dynasty level stacked squad (just watch them on offense)...if they manage to repeat as SB champs, it will be because of this mentality.

Perhaps. However, I don't think the players and coaches are that worked up.

Even AJ, who many think of as some huge pain in the ass, is smiling and laughing when he is talking at his locker. Seems more like the fans and the media have spun this up in our collective heads.

I'm not saying they are robots. I get that they need to motivate constantly (daily) and use whatever to do it. And I'm not saying there is nothing there. But I am saying that I don't think there is as much there as it is being ginned up to be.

In some ways, I think Nick' demeanor is actually closer to the team's demeanor (good coaching, frankly). We have some stuff to work on, get better at and we stress communication internally about it. Pfftt...let's go ball out and smack our next opponent in the mouth. Rinse. Repeat.

Your confused meme on the top comment of mine tells me that you have never listened to WIP or read a Marcus Hayes story or listened to anything Howard Eskin has ever had to say.
