Becton has been a huge disappointment to them but the Chargers have one of the worst OLs in the league with their two starting tackles gone for the year so they need bodies. Not sure why they would release him now as opposed to after the season. Anyway he would have to clear waivers since it is past the trade deadline.

You nailed it. Even if he was released there is no way in hell that the 6 teams below the Eagles in the NFC playoff standings would let that bulldozer pass waivers and get back to Philly.

I do think he is going to be released at the end of the year. Cause I can’t imagine they want to pay him what he’s owed in 2026 for what he has been. I wouldn’t be surprised in the off-season if he comes back here. However, there’s no way with how many injuries they have on that offensive line that they would release him now. Add on the fact, I don’t think he would even make it to us in waivers like you said.

There are variations of cover zero also, with some sending 7 and leaving only 4 in coverage (GL situations) but that's fairly rare.

I always thought zero meant zero help to the tw Boundary CB’s, so it is sending 9, with someone from the 9 jamming the TE at the LOS.
