  • Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Bengals up 10-0 over NE

Giants up 10-0 over lions

We all expected that right?!?!

I said last week it would be interesting to see how the Lions handled losing that game. after they hyped it up to be a "must win" and then lost. So what will they do next? Give up or take their play to the next level?

Giants did it again - who’s dialling these crazy plays

The gameplan for the game. They install the plays they’re most comfortable with. This ain’t backyard football and you run whatever you want.

A QB, especially a veteran one who has been to and won a SB, certainly has the ability to make changes, call an audible, change a route, etc.

I'm not saying it's backyard football and they can do what they want. Would be different if the QB was young or a rookie and doesnt have the experience. Thats not the case here.

Play callers/OC's will send in a play. The QB has the ability to change things if need be if they see something different that the defense is doing. Hurts doesnt have to do this every play call but he can do so when necessary. I'm pretty sure Hurts is allowed to make changes at the line. Maybe he needs to do this more is what I'm saying. Take things into his own hands.

How do you even decide the greatest 9-8 team of all time at the end of 2025 between KC and Detroit?

Frankly, I said before they played us, that they are kind of a fraud team. They beat up on a lot of bad teams to put a lot of points up. But when they faced better teams this year, the offense has not looked very good. Today is more of a surprise that they usually kick the crap out of bad teams. But this feels like a giant letdown game based off what happened last Sunday and then looking ahead to playing Green Bay.

Omg that play to Winston was unfreakingbelieveable!

Jameis Winston TD reception. lol

And a hell of a run. Nice stiff arm and broken tackle. Winston is fun to watch these days.😀

Our sad sack offense put up 16 lol

That Lions defense sure looks mediocre when playing a real offense. And McCarthy really stinks. Even the greatest QB coach ever in O'Connell (so we are told) can't overcome lack of talent

An injured wentz looked better.

With the great former eagle Mike Kafka calling plays they are!

They did not dumb down the offense last year. They went heavy run game and Saquon ran for 2k.

It was kind of hard to miss.

They did not dumb down the offense in 2022 either. Siri was just a ultra-conservative fool in the 2nd half.

The only things dumb in this conversation are glaringly obvious. (2025 OC and conspiracy theorists)

Wrong

There was a reason after the bye week last year we went heavy run the rest of the season. Because we were pass heavy and had major struggles with Jalen, sacks and moving the ball.

That is one of the issues this year that is not talked about. Teams are playing to stop the run with stacking the box, run first defensive schemes asking Jalen to beat them with his arm.

A big reason why the run game is not there this year. We can blame oline but the pass protection has been solid, it's the running gaps they can't get open from the D crashing instantly against the run.

So yes, the scheme was simplified last year and as we can see this year it is pure vanilla.

J. Gibbs is a fantastic RB. The Lions actually nailed that pick.

Why is this true?! -_-

The funniest part is you just know Daboll is at home sitting on his coach absolutely livid

More real than the Eagles.

There's bad Jameis.

Colts gonna Fing blow this game. So stupid

Chiefs gonna win

He’s fun, but also a turnover machine. He can go off throwing all over the place, but you also know that he’ll give you a couple of TOs.

Probably unfortunately. Colts beating themselves.

In fairness 3 of the first 4 games in 2024 we had Aj out and then smith missed a portion of the saints game and then Tampa. We were pretty decimated going into the bye. the Eagles were too pass happy but they also had 8 turnovers in 4 games. That was not sustainable if they wanted to win.

They need a good scoring drive here to keep KC at bay. If Maholmes gets the ball with a chance to win, he will pull it out..
