Nick has found a way to an incredible win percentage while handcuffed with a QB who makes every OC look like crap.

We already know how excellent Nick is at building a culture, AND keeping it together through rough times.

He leaves a lot to be desired as a game day coach. As does Andy Reid, Sean McVay, Dan Campbell... all the other best HCs in the NFL. There has been times when Nick made better game day decisions. Probably needs the right staff around him.

At the same time, you wont admit this because youre very pro-Hurts, but youd see Nicks actual offense which was way different in Indy until he adapted for Hurts here.

Nicks team building, with a real NFL offense, and god forbid you give him a real QB... he already can hardly lose. He may become unstoppable elsewhere.

If it is, he is really committed to it and its the most boring bit in EMB history.

Unpopular take: The Eagles didn’t take their foot off the gas. They just kept screwing up and cost themselves points.

They’ve taken their foot off the gas since the clock hit 0 in the SB

I’m not in the hating on Hurts camp but I can see why others are. I think you can run off a pretty long list of bigger issues we saw today before getting to Hurts.

That’s all I’m saying.

I’ve been saying this all year. Since the 2nd game when the pattern was clear.

They certainly weren't as creative and diverse offensively as they were in the first quarter. Whether that's taking their foot off the gas or not, that's subjective. But they actually used some in breaking routes early, got guys open deep. Then went back to the same old "shitshow offense" the rest of the way.

Yea you can go ahead and remove fangio from your list, I'm not sure what yall expect from a defense that is on the field every 40 seconds and still force 3 turnovers including a turnover on downs on the 2 yard line with the game on the line.

If you want to blame him he's literally the last person on the list so far below anyone associated with the offense you may as well just leave him off. Held the cowboys offense to 24 points at home who had a lot of help from the zebras to even get to that point.

My fear with the eagle has always been, unless the offense starts picking it up and carrying their weight that the defense at some point is going to run out of gas. You’re asking them to be the 2000 Baltimore Ravens because the offense is too inept and the coaching on offense is too inept to get better results out of an ultra talented offense. It’s hard for me to blame the defense when they create turnovers, they force two turnovers on downs and gave you fortunate field position in the first quarter to get your first touchdown.

The issue to me is this defense is going to run out of gas if the offense is inept for halves of games. Last 6 weeks we’ve gone scoreless in a half in half of the games. Even the Fing titans haven’t done that.

It's a little hard to appreciate live, all-22, aerial view, and compiling the stats are kind of necessary to really know...but I want to know just how "pass favorable" the alignments are that the Eagles are seeing relative to other teams. It kind of drives to the true etiology of the problem.

Are teams still stacking the box and daring the Eagles to beat them with the pass? If so...and the OL pass pro is more or less OK...then it's really hard not to heap a ton of this on Hurts' lap. Are teams far less afraid of Barkley and the running game? With their abysmal efficiency all year, I cannot imagine they are still selling out to stop the run at this point. And if that's the case...and we have no running game....and we have an offense that won't venture out of its turnover free comfort zone, then that really shifts more to the OC and OL.

The defense had Dallas in a first and 25 late in the second half and Dallas came away with a TD. That can’t happen.

Well the first 2 were never going to happen. Slowik is arguably an upgrade. Who the F wanted PSU’s OC lol. Bevell could have been a good look. Sheelhasse…green as well, another blind dart throw. Brady? Ya…pass.

Slowik and Bevell would 1000% be upgrades over patullo, never even interviewed. Your argument was that no one was available, i'm showing you that not only were people available but there were at least 2 far more qualified options. The Eagles had zero intention on signing anyone but patullo, which is why both articles discuss how he's already on the inside track for the job. Truly embarassing and idiotic from a team who made the same mistake with Brian Johnson not even 3 gears ago.

Nick -his shitshow

KP -sucks at OC

Vic -let a team come back from 21points

Hurts -held the ball, missed open receivers, etc.

What's your list?

We knew the Dallas offense was going to score points. Getting spotted a 21 point lead is nice. But when the offense can't get out of their own way for 3 quarters, the defense is going to break. And despite breaking... they still didn't fully break. That goal line stand was outstanding. But, at the end of the day, teams win and teams lose. The offensive side of the ball stopped showing up after the first 3 drives. They were awful the rest of the game. And they did the one thing today that they don't do... they turned the ball over. Those two turnovers were really the difference in this game. The Barkley fumble was a FG opportunity again... and easier one that the one Elliott pushed. And Gipson never should have caught a punt at the 1. Somehow the team didn't give up points on that drive, but had they started at the 20 instead of the 3 after the defensive stop, they have a better chance of getting into field goal range to win at the buzzer... but they crapped the bed... collectively.

Their lack of depth was so evident when Blank and Adoree (not much of a loss but was) got hurt. Secondary fell apart.

I thought we actually did a decent job with this today. Plenty of snaps near zero still, but not as much as usual.

It looked good in the scripted portion. Hit or miss into the 2nd quarter. Then complete ish the 2nd half. Patullo doesn’t have a grasp for game flow. He can’t think about the upcoming play let alone 1 or 2 plays ahead. That’s a serious issue.,

Nick is a scrub and luck to have Howie as his GM. He will disappear like Doug when he is no longer here.

Some degree of execution is necessary to get creative, to push the pace, and to fully open the playbook.

When every drive stalls out with a run for 0, penalty, and incomplete pass on the first 3 plays, there's really nothing that can be done. JMO

I think the penalties made the offense look like a bigger shitshow than it was. Barkley falling down on his own on the play that set up third and 2 was bad. Fred Johnson, Smith OPI, Barkley fumble. The list goes on.

I’ll say this… He’s not involved greatly with the offense (and if he is then Jesus that’s a whole other issue) so what is he doing? Culture and discipline? Well the culture has been awful and the discipline worse.

Well sure. But it’s stupid to come away from that game and try to play ITYS on Hurts.

I agree. Guys in green lost today's game... ALL of them.

Tank needs more touches. I’m not saying that’s the answer, but it couldn’t hurt. A committee at RB might be more effective at this point.

I think there was a real cost to moving Dejean out of his comfort zone after the injury. Granted, he was going up against a stud WR, but that's the most I've ever seen him struggle.

I think they should keep him in the same role and just bring out my boy Ringo when Jackson gets hurt (which is a lot). They made 2 positions worse today.

Howie will be here long after sirianni is gone. If this season goes south and next season is also disappointing, would be a great time to jettison nick and hurts and rebuild around an elite defense

I mentioned this a few times during the week about how he is an expert at nothing. Ppl in here said he was a great culture builder CEO coach. He’s a moron

I’d argue the Eagles decided to not go to AJ Brown anymore from the first quarter to 10 minutes in the third quarter. I ****ed about this last year. They did the same thing when they played the ravens then the Panthers. He’d be going off in a half and then they just casually not throw him another pass for a long stretch.

Before everybody goes well defenses adjust… they do, but it’s not always their adjustments that makes the eagle stop doing it. There’s times where you watch plays called and they go away from it for a long period of time. Then remember a quarter or more later and then the offense has gotten out of rhythm and into a funk
