Thank you to all the Veterans here who have served our Country.

  • Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Then he still took 13 yards off of the ensuing punt. You can argue that the defense was getting washed on the last drive anyway, sure. But 13 yards is 13 yards, and at that point of the game is a huge swing. It was an awful sack at the worst time.

That’s fair. Of course Mann bombed a punt to bail him out but we committed a penalty leading to a re-kick.

It never seems like he completes many passes when he rolls out of the pocket unless its something quick by design.

Once he rolled out he could have run, dumped it off etc - tough sack to take but hard to see how bad it really was until film is reviewed - chances are everyone could have been covered, etc

There are a lot of issues that caused the loss today. Many of them point to coaching. Coaching is the top problem on the team. Yes, execution by the players is also an issue. But coaches have to get tougher and hold guys accountable.

  • Conservative mindset from Siri...except when he randomly does something erratic

  • OC play calling

  • OC game management, consistently doesn't get the play call in soon enough

  • Lack of creativity too often - shown in spots, then go back to conservative which is probably Siri

  • Lots of penalties and mental mistakes

  • Injured O lineman out there being a liability: for the love of God rest Jurgens till he's actually ready. Hard to believe but Toth actually plays well when he has a full week of practice to prep. Mailata is having his worst season as well.

  • O line play and lack of depth - Stoutland arguably having his worst coaching year

  • Hole at CB2 which we've known since the offseason

  • Hurts missing open receivers, over/underthrown balls trying to force something, taking sacks instead of scrambling or throwing it away

  • WR routes

  • TE blocking

  • Barkley just doesn't have it enough this year

  • Tank has been very productive...then they sit him and don't give him carries

  • Special teams return game is awful, dumb mental mistakes

  • Lack of depth at corner and safety

  • Q and DeJean have had some more games where they've not been Superman, and the rest of the secondary isn't good enough to cover

It's also a Super Bowl hangover, even for the winning team. There's a reason they say it's so hard to repeat. I still maintain the rest of the league isn't that great and they can repeat. These are all self-inflicted wounds. And every week they talk about working to improve and it's not a finished product...but there's a LOT to clean up before Friday.

It was 3rd and 2. Throw it away.

hell no.

But we should.

Jurgens might be having the worst season of any player on the team given his expectations. I know he’s been banged up but he needs to sit for a week or two. He got cooked today.

Add Dickerson to your post. Both have been awful this year.

No,nothing is changing

EJ Smith: #Eagles O-Linemen pointed to the Cowboys usage of five-man fronts as a reason for the struggles in the run game.

Landon Dickerson said Dallas hasn’t shown many odd fronts this season and it wasn’t something they had much "time on task” practicing against this week

Meh. We weren’t going for it on fourth there. It even Sirianni wasn’t that dumb. But maybe he would have tried the silly draw them off play.

I’m not sure about that. i wouldn’t have entirely rule it out going for it. I could totally see sirianni after a game saying we pick up that first down, we are near the 40 so potentially could get into field goal range. win the game without Dallas touching the ball again.

The time for patience and observation was over 3 weeks ago going into the bye. It was clear as day to anyone with half a brain cell that this offense was garbage and completely incoherent, they should've removed playcalling from patullo before the bye and given someone (literally anyone) the chance to get comfortable. But here we are, we aren't winning ish with Kevin patullo calling plays unless we stay 100% healthy on defense and start forcing more turnovers

In hindsight which player that we lost hurt us the most this year? Who should’ve Howie brought back besides Baun? Becton?

QB who makes every OC look like crap

Yea Hurts made Steichen look so bad here, he was relegated into getting hired as a head coach. Total bum.

Difference between the rams and eagles is they are getting better as a team as the season has gone along. The eagles defense has gotten better but offense and special teams are as wildly inconsistent since early in the season.

Defense has gotten better but I think it’s fair to wonder how much. Obviously they deserve credit for Packers and Lions but you have to factor in the QB’s and conditions.

With all that said and given the circumstances, Cowboys should have scored more than they did today. Injuries will obviously test how good they are.

But do you think sirianni would do well without a gm like roseman stacking this roster with talent? I don’t see what some ppl see in him. Less talented rosters are not ranked 25th in offense or leading league in three and outs.

Are you asking do I think he'd do well with an average GM? I don't think he'd do poorly, probably more mediocre. There's things he just can't do here because his scheme and Hurts don't match up at all, but he never got to choose who he wanted to be his QB, Hurts was drafted by Doug and Howie, so that's not really his fault. He wouldn't be as good as here (DCs matter, good luck finding one as good as Vic), but I think he'd be better than people give him credit before.

Some people seem to act like Nick is in the best situation of the history of the NFL, while also simultaneously acting like some of the people who have been running the offenses are the worst offensive minds of the history of the NFL, and frankly I'm just not seeing that. I think it says a lot that the people who have made our best years over the past 5 years have both had head coaching jobs - that insinuates that for some reason, teams realize these individuals are very good, and I think the reason why is that they realize with Jalen and the scheme construction, they really have their work cut out for them.

Colts should totally fire him for blowing that game today

Today was one of the worst losses this franchise has had in several years and there is plenty of blame to go around but I just scrolled through several pages and barely saw anyone calling out Saquon and it's beyond time to start doing that. First of all, the fumble he had was massive. Second, right before the 3rd and 2 debacle Saquon should have had that first down but slipped and fell which has been happening with him a lot this year. Furthermore, he is a liability as the lead runner of this team. That blame doesn't fall completely on his shoulders as the OL has been an issue and the play calling is predictable. That being said, I watch Tank BIgsby every week hit the hole hard and fast and get 5+ yards regularly while Saquon dances and messes around constantly. I love Saquon and he had an all time great season last year but it's way past time to start calling him out as a big reason for the struggles of this offense and tweedle Dee and tweedle dumb need to start to get Tank way more involved in the offense. One carry for Tank today was pathetic.

The problem with Barkley is that he was so historically dominant last year and he's the primary cornerstone of the entire offense...so they are being very, very stubborn and reluctant to decrease his utilization. In a normal NFL offense, when the starting RB is in a game averaging 2 yards per carry...the adjustment is really, really simple: stop using him. With Barkley, they keep running him into the same wall. And he keeps dancing in the backfield waiting for bricks to hit him rather than taking what he can get before hitting the wall.

Any other RB in the NFL right now, including Gibbs...they have a day where they aren't doing squat, the offenses moves off them. With Barkley we just keep going and going and going. He's #4 in the NFL in rushes. That number should collapse down the stretch. The tires are completely bald.

Even putting coaching/Hurts aside, it's REALLY hard to be consistent on offense without a top 5 QB when you can't run the ball. Your QB is going to mess up. Your coach will put you in bad positions. Opposing defenses want you to run. It's always going to raise the degree of difficulty.

This dumb medical staff rushed Dickerson and Jurgens and it shows up every week. We're going to be dumb and rush Lane too when Fred was playing like a normal RT (not good, but not a game-wrecker).

Respectful is being sensitive? Sure. Let's go with that

Your reaction to my statement is where the sensitivity came from. It wasn't a backhanded comment. It was a reality to the way we watched the game tonight. The Eagles defense held a team that averages 30 points a game to 24 points. That's not 'crapping the bed' in my book, so we saw the game differently. Hence the comment, we watched different games. I went into the game expecting Dallas to put up points. Apparently, you expected the defense to hold them down like they did GB and Detroit. Different expectations from both of us going into the game, led us to see the game from very different perspectives and so we watched different games.

Cowboys should have scored more. Simultaneously, they should have scored less. So the should have scored more isnt really a fair narrative.

Yup.

Whether that means moving on from patullo or sirianni or both or moving on from hurts or all 3 it needs to change because the current combination of those 3 together isnt enough to get it done

I still think the biggest issue with the offense is the O line, jurgens and dickerson have been awful all year, hopefully they can get healthier to the point where they can move again if, this is the best theyre gling to be going forward then it might be time to move on from both because their current level of play is detrimental to this offense

Ok nevermind, fire all of them. FIVE MAN FRONTS ARE COMMON IN THE NFL

Wow!! Glad I didn’t watch second half. But this is laughable; how’re traded for him too right?

No they claimed him on waivers despite the Jets and Giants seemingly having no use for him, which might be worse

Hopefully Justin Simmons has been staying in shape because he will be inking a contract with us before midnight I’d guess

The board goes over the top to destroy Josh Allen to prop up Hurts when he has no where near the support, but when Hurts goes MIA it's

"His team committed penalties!"

"It was windy!"

If you're referring to NOTW the other night, he was doing it to mock people like HE.
