EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Those 5 runs in the 2nd half resulted in 5 yards😒 and id bet on all 5 barkley got hit in the backfield.

This team cant run block and when they do saquon doesnt see or hit it, his vision this year has been almost as bad as his run blocking.

So, we can't really get upset by the run pass ratio - as handing the ball to Saquon more often then not is a wasted play.

We have a hat on a hat, but the refs miss hands to the face by Clowny on Johnson.

It's not a great block by Fred but you have to wonder if Bigsby is better able to break that arm tackle. Giving him 1 carry in the game was ridiculous.

Moore would have done exactly the same with the offense as Patullo this year if he'd had 2025's version of the OLine and Saquon.

I think the running game would struggle but the playcalling and passing route concepts have been terrible. I think that's the part Moore would have done better. Pass protection hasn't been an issue but they're too easy to cover.

Everyweek we hear how a defense gave the offense a look they weren't prepared for. The coaching is ao bad.

Was there any discussion during the game about Dallas' second TD. The one to Spann-Ford, where he runs up to Mukuba in the end zone and pushes him to the ground.

Isn't that OPI?

I personally liked the double DT tackle at Dak's feet. Synchronized well.

But the vibes man. Trade Nick for a pick like the Raiders and Gruden.

Yup and id love to just say its all the o line but whenever tank is in hes picking up positive yards, barkley looks like hes trying to hit a 60 yarder every play instead of reading the few blocks he gets.

And its not just jurgens and dickerson either, mailata has been pretty bad all year as well, maybe he needs to work less on his christmas album and more on his blocking.

This team just doesnt have anymore hungry dogs☹️

Have to look at the all 22 and see what the routes looked like across the field.

They ran 2 hitches and 2 go routes.

I don't think you want to hold up the Raiders as a model of what should be done with an NFL franchise.

All in fun. Chip, like Patullo, never should have been hired to run an offense this season.

There was no reason to lose that game but 8-3 is 8-3. I think we’ll learn a lot on Friday. The Bears should get put away early.

Didn't we just give Nick a new contract for $10 million a year? He is staying, but he can no longer be allowed to hire any offensive coaches.

I find his choice of OC to be highly offensive.

We can't put any winning team away early or late. And, if injuries on the offensive line are one of the reasons the offensive line sucks, then a short week is kryptonite.

I just realized they don't have anyone that's been an OC besides the QB coach and that was college OC

Bunch of passing game coordinators and specialist

I’d still go with loeffler. He’s done it before even if it was in college. He was actually the head coach at bowling green. Add on he played QB at Michigan. Imo he’s likely not the solution to your problems but if anybody was going to take over the playcalling, it probably should be him.

That said the reason why patullo needs to be taken off of playcalling is because it’s been 11 games and there’s not been significant improvement. I could make the argument since the bye the red zone offense has gotten worse, which was the one thing they were really good at. the offense is averaging 15.7 ppg since the bye so they actually been worse coming off the bye.

I kind of agree when Nick Foles talked about this, there’s just guys that are good at it and it’s natural to them. Then there’s just guys that can’t do it. You don’t need more time for patullo to figure it out. you’ve given him 11 games and it is going in the opposite direction.

What's both sad and funny is I've been seeing something like this all season

It's like another version of next week is the real test lol

They are 8-3, and the eagles will be very depleted in the secondary. Definitely not a gimme, not even close.

Some of us have been calling for him to be relinquished of his duties for awhile now. But we were also told to stop complaining while the team is winning

We’ve done well with "puppet” head coaches.

Won a SB with Doug. Won a SB with Sirianni. No need to change that model.

But we’re sitting here again, 3rd time in 8 years after getting our OCs sniped post-SB, trapped with a garbage internal OC hire and an underperforming offense.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me 3 times, shame on me.

Another thing I keep coming back to, Jalen makes the running game go.

Why is he not making it go? He and Barkley are averaging the same 3.7 yards per carry.

Of QB's with at least 40 carries, Hurts ranks 12th in yards per carry. QB's with at least 30 carries, he ranks 14th. QB's with at least 20 carries he ranks 18th.

They ran pass plays... but they weren't aggressive pass plays. They were the standard short throws, hitches, outs, etc. No creativity.

Are you sure there weren’t aggressive calls? The other team has a say in whether a play call can be run as drawn up.

My guess is that some of them may have been "aggressive." The bigger issue is the predictability. If you are sending AJ on a go route it's not aggressive if the defense knows it's coming. It's just hubris and stupidity.

Why does it take Puntullo so long to get the play into Hurts? He has 5 plays to choose from, what takes him so long? Barely get the playoff every snap. Certainly no time to audible or shift linemen to the right gap.

The TPs lower his average, but to your point Jalen's looking sluggish getting to the edge.
