Goedert, Steen and Jurgens all miss their blocks on that play.

Im so sick of seeing steen standing up pre snap, as hes automatically playing high, one would think its a silent snap thing because of the road noise but they do it at home as well, it makes zero sense.🤷‍♂️

Goedert doesnt even touch his guy, cam as usual is leaning too far forward and gets rag dolled and steen misses his block too.

Barkley has zero chance, dad part is 3 guys on one play missing blocks is common place this year

This from an offense with 10-11 starters returning ☹️

This play is a microcosm of the running game all year long. OL and TE missing blocks left and right and Saquon getting nailed in the backfield every time. Someone said it's like 2015 with DeMarco Murray and I have to agree. Absolutely atrocious run blocking.

Gipson fielding that punt inside the 10 yard line doesn't happen if Clay is telling him not to field the punt inside the 10. Then there are the penalties.

Even if he said not to field it inside the 5, that doesn't happen.

Completely unacceptable. Sirianni is lucky he won the SB because if not and this season ends because the offense comes up lame, he'd 100% be fired if he didn't have a SB under his belt.

Vic and his defense in the SB saved a lot of jobs

Cam was a revolving door all game. I didn't watch the clip in the post, but he should not have been in

If only folks would have said so earlier in the week... whistle

I'm curious if it's his contract

Only explanation I can think of

Yeah that is playing a huge part of it. Roseman doesn't want that for a player he unnecessarily gave a huge raise to with no added years or any benefit to the team. I also think they worry about him losing standing as a leader in that locker room if they turn him into a part time player. Especially if Tank takes off and Barkley continues to struggle and eventually becomes completely overshadowed by this other RB.

Some of those 21 points were fool's gold. That second drive was extended because of a roughing the kicker and then we also had another 3rd down conversion because of a penalty. The Cowboys gifted us those points.

That may be, but PHI came out throwing the ball really well, executed the offense three drives. Every time Bland was lined up on AJ PHI should have attacked him, that’s a mismatch.

KC and DET are going to torch DAL defense. Kelce will have his best game of the season Thursday.

Top 5 talent even with an OL banged up.

Who are top 5 at their positions?

I'll give you Brown and Smith. Hurts, Goedert, and Mailata maybe top-10. Then what? Dickerson is getting better, but not there yet. Steen is fine, but not top anything. Lane isn't playing. Jurgens has been below average.

The OL is half the personnel. How could the entire offense be top 5 without a bad OL. They were the secret sauce last season. That group doesn't exist anymore.

Yup when I saw the stat that said eagles o libe was 32nd in expected yards/ run block I was like anybody watching the eagles this year knew this already, theyve been awful and as much as its sacrilege to say as the Run game coordinator and O line coach Stout deserves some blame as well

That is such a straw man. No one I've seen is saying Saquon is "the" issue with the running game.

People are saying he's playing like crap because he is.

That sequence on the last drive where he tried dancing around then got tackled by his ankles for no gain, then inexplicably fell down on 2nd down 2 yards short was terrible.

Of course the next play was the Hurts sack so it's easy to forget, but Saquon left a bunch of critical yards on the field

I'd apportion the blame 75% to the blocking and 25% to Saquon. Even if Saquon is dancing and seeing ghosts now, the much larger issue is the run blocking has been straight garbage. Unfortunately that prob can't be fixed this year, so it's up to Saquon to put his head down and just take whatever minimal yards are possible.

Every team has flaws. Name 27 teams with better players across the board on offense. Even with the OL banged up they still have top 5 offensive talent with DG, Smith, Brown, Barkley, and Tank. If you give this same talent to the top 15-20 OCs in the league this team would look it.

Check you math. Why do I need 27 teams to put the Eagles out of the top 5?

Mailata isnt top ten this year, and while Goedert has sone tds on schemed up goal line plays his blocking this year has been sub par and he goes long stretches where hes invisible as a receiver.

Saying jurgens has been below average is being kind...☹️

And that high step before sliding looked so lame.

The narrative is that Jalen boosts the rushing attack, but it seems he's becoming less of a factor schematically as he's slowing down -and- he picks fewer and fewer spots to scramble. So, his mobility is more about avoiding pressure and finding plays off schedule; however he's taking some bad sacks and the recent inaccuracy is an issue. So is Jalen part of the problem? Not necessarily... but he might not be part of the solution either as this flawed offense needs a distributor (higher ceiling) rather than a game manager (higher floor).

32-27=5

Give Tank more reps, that's how we know. His average seems to be great with this OL. I'd put it at 50/50 probably. Not all great RBs have great offensive lines. It's good enough probably is my guess, if the RB hits the whole and is decisive. Barkley has barely broken any huge runs compared to last year. Fell off the cliff. Crazy!

Wouldn't it be easier just to name five teams that are better? Wouldn't that mean the Eagles aren't top five?

Whatever way you want to do it. Bottom line is they are top 5 in offensive talent. Everyone has flaws either at the skill positions, QB, or OL. They should not look as bad as they do. Again, if you gave their talent to the top 15 OCs they would be a very different looking team. This is a coaching issue. I don't care if the OL is playing poorly. They should have played Toth yesterday. Again, coaching.

Its a super tecmo bowl offense..☹️

PHI on first down against DAL: 5 of 11 plays were designed runs for an average of 0.8 yards. 5 of 11 designed pass for an average of 11.6 yards (incl 1 Hurts scramble). 4 of 5 designed runs were out of the shotgun.

Above from eagles reddit.

We should be throwing on every first down from now on. And start running from the I-Formation instead of from the shotgun as opposing defenses don't respect the threat of Hurts' running anymore. Can these geniuses figure it out???
