You guys are all so, so dumb.

James Franklin for offensive consultant.

Not just consultant. Give him full control of the whole operation. Should've done this last season.

  • Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Sirianni think patullo did a good job calling the crap game plan Siri came up with...😒

Tbh i don’t think they would. but i also think that defense was doomed to fail cause of the lack of talent. Whether it was Patricia or Desai. I do think defense checked out but i also kind of think that happened cause they realized after SF and Dallas took it to them they weren’t winning anything which frankly may have very well also happened with Desai as DC.

I'll never know for sure, and when I asked Nick and Howie about it, they both clammed up. To be fair, Howie was honest that Desai was a bad hire and things just spiraled; Nick wouldn't crap on anyone. Really, we got screwed by Gannon and lost Vic, and they had no real plan since they thought Gannon was coming back.

If we actually fire Patullo this offseason, I wonder if Jim Bob Cooter comes back as OC. He's Shane's OC in Indy, but Shane calls the plays there.

lol

Curious if he gets some HC interviews given how the offense looks with Daniel jones even if he’s not calling plays

This is crazy. It’s bec it’s Siri’s system. He’s a clown

Nick is the problem.

Even if they were going to make a change, Nick would deny it at his PC. We'd find out before the game that someone else is calling plays.

But I see no chance of them doing it. Nick 100% lost the locker room (at least the defense) when they went from Desai to Patricia. They won't do it again.

You are right. Nick also thinks he can fix the issues, which he can't. Windows close quickly in the NFL and KP is clearly not up to the task, so Howie and Jeff need to step in at some point.

Patricia was a clown and that team was a problem at that point. There is a reason he's not coaching the league anymore, but the problems weren't just the DC.

The difference this time is I think the players know the OC is the problem even if they don't admit it publicly. They also know the defense is doing their part vs two years ago when the entire team was broken. It could go either way. Either they see it as relief and a spark to turn things around or they turn. They want to win, the defense is good enough to do it, they have the talent, so removing the person holding them back shouldn't cost them the room. If it does then so be it. They aren't winning with KP anyway. Take the chance.

I also think that would depend on who they brought in IMO. BD worked with Hurts in the past and has a relationship. He's also a guy who was throwing chairs after a loss, so probably a greater chance of losing the room. Doug would make connections, but he's not great as an OC calling plays either. Is he worth the risk? Maybe. Gruden would be a funny troll job to Rog and could do amazing things with that offense even with the same playbook and a few tweaks, but that's a big personality coming in who would call Nick out for his dumb crap probably.

Promoting the QB coach while keeping KP designing the plan and the initial script would be worth a shot. You can't go back to KP, but who cares. I honestly can't see anyone being worse than him. They punt every 3 plays as it is, so will they be punting every 2? I'd give it a shot and still bring someone in as a consultant. They don't have to take over right away and maybe they can help tweak the playbook a bit or sit in the booth and call down what they see while the defense is on the field like "maybe try a few of these plays next series".

Is Nick going down with his pal?

I’m sure this was posted, but, oh my. Rough look.

Honestly, I'm good with that at this point. Nick is good at managing the vibe when he has two really good coordinators. Throw in a good GM and a lot of talent and he has a good job. There are much worse coaches out there, but if he wants to go down then fine. Get a good offensive mind who will provide stability the last few years of prime Hurts. I'd be curious to know who that's going to be this year.

Michael Carter 2 was a safety in college, I think I’d rather give him the field/deep responsibility and have Syd play the boundary/underneath. There’s too much going on at Nickel to move Coop.

Raiders are stuck in a time loop

Losing both safeties on a short week? With Adoree likely out too?

DL better play better this week.

Just me, or does yesterday's choke job not sting like it should?

Not sure of the why.

A. It was expected at some point the way they were playing.

B. Eagles are defending Super Bowl champs and still in contention for another run.

C. Losing like they did maybe lights a fire for them down the stretch.

D. I drink/partake too much and am numb to everything.

E. All of the above

lol special teams was a disaster yesterday with penalties, missed FG and a fumbled punt.

One of the easy changes.

1) Get to the line sooner. Hurts does pre-snap really well. Stop f...ing him with the poor clock mgmt on getting plays in.

2) Bench Calcatera. Use Latu.

3) Use Toth. Now.

4) Use Bigsby and take the +2 versus -2.

5) Do not run on first down ever again (kidding).

6) Throw, throw and throw more. 40x per game. Yes, I am serious.

7) Slants to AJ as many times as humanly possible until they stop it, twice.

8) Throw as many 50 50s to AJ and Devonta any time they are in single coverage. Single coverage, throw it, dammit. Throw it.

9) Use Covey as PR. This is crazy. Did his arms fall off or what?

I’m sure this also was posted long ago…

Imagine being a fan of the sport for decades, seeing a variation of this multiple times per game this season, and still thinking Tanner McKee would somehow excel in these circumstances. What fun it must be to have such a wild imagination.

The circumstances immediately change when McKee plays, dummy.

You wouldn't understand that because you still think this is Siris offense or Patullos offense and Hurts is great and those guys are the issue.

Changing things in a major way on a short week, likely not going to happen anywhere. However, I can't see the Lurie's sitting around and letting a great opportunity go lightly, so its possible there is the public "all good" conversation from Siri now, but in reality, the matter is not over with. The overall roasting of the team today will have been felt at the Novacare.

If you're Nick you really can't win in this situation no matter what you do actually. Fans think they're the only ones focused on 2023, but what they seem to forget is that 2023 was a year in which he won almost twice as many games as he lost, and he still had people trying to fire him 4 games into the following season, even though two seasons ago he lost the Super Bowl only because the defense couldn't keep their footing to save their lives and he got backstabbed by his DC.

If you think he's going to make the leap again and try to can guys mid-season when the only thing that ultimately did was make people try to unfairly run him out of town, you've clearly never been in the same position.

I thought it was waiver claim thing… but yeah, why would he come hear? Tank can’t even get 2 carries.
