But I don't think anyone will be able to beat the Rams. Similar to 2023. Our best wasn't going to be better than the Niners.I think you can beat the Rams. I think you would have to play a turnover free game. The Seahawks weren’t that far off from beating the Rams two weeks ago. Sam Donald had four turnovers and yet they had a chance to kick a game-winning field goal at the end of the game.

It should have been a dead play and penalty on Dallas. So there you go, I was discussing this during the game with someone and no one knew for sure whether the Cowboys substituted or not

They had played a cupcake schedule up until the last 3 weeks with the only good win against the Colts (no, beating the Jags isn't impressive). They beat SF with Mac Jones (who maybe is equivalent to Purdy) to split the season series, then barely beat the Seahawks at home (Darnold threw game away) and beat up a collapsing Bucs team that lost their QB at halftime. Sadly, the rest of their schedule isn't hard, with home for Detroit and at Seattle as their remaining tough games. 14-3 seems likely, and I doubt we win out.The good news? An NFCCG in LA would basically be an Eagles home game. No one in Los Angeles gives a damn about the Rams (and no one knows the Chargers even play here).

It is a widely accepted analytic measure. The Eagles are 8th. The Bears are 22nd.

An NFCCG in LA would basically be an Eagles home game. No one in Los Angeles gives a damn about the Rams (and no one knows the Chargers even play here).People look at rams against Tampa Bay cause they blew them out and think man that team is unbeatable. First off Tampa Bay is dealing with a ton of injuries. i believe Baker Mayfield went into that game not healthy. And just to be perfectly honest, Tampa Bay’s defense has not been very good this year against better teams. Particularly on the road. They went to Seattle and gave up 35. They went on the road to LA and give up 34. Went to Buffalo gave up 44. Played the eagles and New England at home and gave up 28 and 31. At some point in time I kind of think Tampa Bay is a fraudulent team because they can’t stay healthy and their defense is nowhere close to what it was two or three years ago.Adding onto the Colts game that they played, they won that game because Mitchell fumbled the ball through the end zone when nobody was within 15 yards of him. Otherwise that’s a touchdown and that game is completely different. Along with that Rams go ahead touchdown on that game is because the guy tripped on the field and allowed for the Rams wide receiver to be 30 yards open to score the game winning touchdown. That game very much could’ve went differently if Mitchell doesn’t fumble the ball into the end zone with nobody around him and the corner doesn’t trip on the field. That said, the Rams are playing the best football right now. Both offensively and defensively in terms of complementary football. Plus, they aren’t getting penalized nearly as much as some teams like the Eagles. I am curious though if they are peeking too early. I do think they’ve done a good job of avoiding injuries on the offensive end and Stafford’s back which was an issue all training camp hasn’t popped up

I'm not aware of any other team in the playoff hunt that has gone an entire half in multiple games without any production. On top of that we saw the impact on the defense as the game went on. Sure, Dallas adjusted, but those poor guys had to be exhausted. One of my biggest concerns is the end of the season starts to look like the end of that game. I don't care how young they are that many snaps will have an impact on the body.

I mean it’s happened in pretty much every game this year bar maybe the Vikings and the second NY game? Like it’s almost impressive (in the worst way). Is it because we tend to play with a lead but can’t run the ball effectively? So we end up with a lot of punts.
1 hour ago1 hr Rivers has the passing stats but I don't believe he has anything in playoffsBrees has the passing stats and a ringWitten shouldn't. He should go into the hall of really goodI didn't know that Fitz only had 9/17 years of 1k yds. He's got longevity but does he really have the stats for the hall? Only 4 years where he led the league in some statistic (receptions 2005, 12TDs 2008, 13TDs 2009, 107 receptions 2016)
1 hour ago1 hr Author The Bears are +19 in turnovers when they win. Minus 3 in their losses.Using EPA/play, the Bears have the 22nd ranked defense. (We are 8th.) If you take away plays with turnovers, they drop to 31st. (We are 10th).This may be the week where Sirianni's conservative approach to offense is necessary.

I don't think they're as good as the hype, and they have no home field advantage whatsoever.
1 hour ago1 hr The Rams are beatable if we play to our potential for all 4 quarters. I'm not sure that has happened yet at all this season, maybe 1 game. Turnover free football alone will not beat the Rams.

Hopefully before Bills game and resting up key starters who are hurt or wiped out from too many snaps. Can't afford any more injuries either. My fear is we will still be in the hunt for HFA as we would hope the Rams lose to an inferior team in those final 2 weeks and we leave our corpses in Buffalo for a hard fought battle and maybe gain no ground anyway. I'd like the last 2 weeks to be pseudo bye weeks. Recharge batteries and get our real offensive game plan and philosophy in gear, as we did last year in playoffs. Was a less vanilla offense.

Just using an example of sometimes things can get worse.I forget who but there was some Eagles player in the last 2-3 years that said as players they operate better the more steady the coaches are and if they start to panic, the players get tight and panic. That's not to say a change won't help, just there are things you have to weigh when making changes while sitting at 8-3, leading the division and a game behind the #1 seed.Agreed, things could easily get worse. Making a change like this is a high risk move at this point in the season, with plenty of examples of it paying off (see Bills and Joe Brady) and plenty of examples of it blowing up in our faces (like with Patricia as you mentioned.)

Maybe Nick or Scot starts calling plays but routes them through Patullo, as an example.
1 hour ago1 hr Does anyone have a comparison of the defensive snaps from last year to this season? I wouldn't be shocked if there is a difference of 100-125+ snaps.

With no real running game this year, it's a tough one. I like Rams in the trenches more as well on both sides. We would have to absolutely dominate on the DL. Not super confident about that either after Dallas OL handled us last week against pass and run. In addition, Rams are ascending and relatively injury free, while we labor into this last month. Potentially, no Lane Johnson (never seen anyone recover from his injury in 4-6 weeks but will see) this time around and secondary looking suspect. Like the Rams here by a TD if they played today. This will be a mountain to climb this playoffs season. Such a different scenario than last year.
