EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Featured Replies

One team that has impressed me this year so far is Carolina. They play a more physical brand of football on the OLine than I expected this year. 5 of their remaining games are against probable playoff teams with the other three against Saints x2, and ATL. We will find out how real they are playing LAR, SF, SEA, and TB x2.

Are they a threat in the conference? No, but it's good to see a bad team improving, especially knowing they likely drafted the wrong QB.

The issue is his contract expires after the season. So why trade for him when he'll likely be cheap as hell this offseason and cost nothing? It's not like he'd be useful in 2025, so no reason to give up a pick.

Head start working with him/possible depth later this year. Like I said I'd only do it if they see something and they could get him for a guy they are going to cut anyway. They have too many CBs.

I know Calc is not the best blocking TE, but he's not awful. So I'd rather not have another blah OLineman added.

I've watched quite a few of Saquon TD runs from last season, and Calc was out there making some decent blocks on the edges.

I think at this point Stephen has his hands in as much as Jerrah does. Raised his boy right, if you ask me. (Of course, my alma matter, adopting Columbia blue from Houston’s police whistle, trolls Amy Adams Strunk with our blue uniforms at least once a year, much to my joy. So I can understand your dislike of Stephen). Meanwhile, Jeff Lurie is quietly teaching his son how to be an owner, doing Business and Football Operations strategy. (Lurie strategy is hiring the right people and letting them do their job).

Think Howie has at least one more trade in him today. Won't be earth shattering Im sure. Between Dillon, Jackson and Ringo there could be a trade to be made for a depth piece. Also, was thinking about Asante. Even if he signs somewhere, he could be a good 3-4 weeks away from action. That gives him maybe 4-5 games and the playoffs to show his wares. Which means he would probably go to only serious Superbowl contenders to get some run. And a potential extra few games of reps. Eagles give him a bona fide opportunity of accomplishing those goals and an ideal setup in the secondary. Right now it's really just Bennett and JA as your last hopes at CB2. Or moving Cooper there, which is a last resort. Still think another CB in here is a good idea.

They’re probably done adding. Could see Sydney Brown getting traded.

I could not see that at all. Epps just went on IR

Interesting, because that leaves the roster with 2 healthy safeties with Epps hurt. Unless MC is now playing safety. I don't think Howie is ever done adding. He will tweak again and again. There are still players who will get cut moving forward and can be added.

Cooper would your extra S in that case. No way MC could learn S in this system that fast

Exactly.

I could see Steelers trading for Shaheed.

Dallas ready to go all in for some reason.

Wonder if that would be something we’d do but not likely.

Wow sauce gardner to the colts

OMG Howie lost one

This MOFO should be kicked off radio. There is click bait and a-hole stupid

If Colts didn't give up a first+ the Jets got ripped off

Edit two 1sts wow

Wow. It has to be for a first, right?

Whoa. That's a blockbuster trade. Good for Sauce to get the hell out of NY. Now get Garrett Wilson out of there.
