Cowboys could be playing gor first in the division now when we play them in a few weeks.

Maybe math is not your strong suit. Cowboys are 3-5-1. They have a bye this week, then play the Raiders, best record they can have going into that game is 4-5-1.

Eagles are 6-2, and play the Packers and Lions before the Cowboys, so the worst record they could have going into that game is 6-4.

If the Eagles lose to Dallas, they would be 6-5, and the Cowboys would be 5-5-1.

Not sure how that would make the Cowboys first in the division.

The Cowboys are betting their 2027 1st isn't high. I don't think that's a good bet. There's a chance the 2 1's they got from Packers are worth less than their 2027 1. But obviously could go either way still

Now big names are going. I wonder when Howie pounces.

For whom? Jets players are going to be costly it seems. I'd look at the Raiders, Saints, Miami. I wouldn't mind Minkah to man the safety spot drool

Not real

The Jets defense sucked with Quinnen and the Cowboys defense is gonna suck with him too. Good DT, but not Aaron Donald. Not even Jalen Carter.

Not only that, he might only be there next year with no cap hit at all after 2026.

He's a very good DT. I know we hate the Cowboys but he's a good player. If I was the Cowboys I'm not sure I make that move but they didn't trade for a mediocre player by any means.

Does nothing for this season.

Next year, however...

See 3 wins left on the Cowboys schedule right now. I'm gonna give them the Raiders, Redskins and Giants. After that, can't really see another W. That's 6-10-1. If charitable, 7-9-1.

Exactly what I said last night...

My post literally says "Good DT"

Trading away Mazi Smith actually improved the Cowboys

Williams is a very good player. He'll help the Cowboys. Not sure they actually win more games with him but he's definitely good. That said it's a confused GM effort. They got picks, essentially tanked this season, then traded a lot of the picks for a player not nearly as good. Meanwhile Dak ages another year

I suspect next season they'll actually be pretty dangerous. They're gonna win double digit games and I think they will compete for the division.

Then proceed to get bounced in the first round

I just hope they keep blowing picks

So Jets covered themsevles. Smart. One of Dallas or Green Bay will probably disappoint in 2027. Dallas more likely :)

As I said earlier just compounding problem after problem. All I wanted was for them to save the picks, they should not be buyers at all. It's a GD dumpster fire.

He's the kind of player you love on your team, but hate him on any other. I'd imagine we all hate Jalen Carter on any other team, especially in the division.

Maybe. He seems like a guy that likes to play on the edge of dirty. The leaps over the OL last year in the NFC CG were focused on injury, imho. Our C didn't start that game because of a back injury. And he was jumping over the top and landing on the center's back.. and/or he'd get a free shot at Hurts.

They have the building blocks for a very good D-line with him, Clark, Ezeiruaku.

That secondary stinks though

The price was too much, but Sauce in this secondary would be something.

How much guaranteed money he have left? Cause Williams might want an extension and contracts have worked out well for Jerry and star players
