Not only that, he might only be there next year with no cap hit at all after 2026.

Draft capital takes place of cap hit...they can't possibly justify a 1 and 2 for a season and a half...

So Jets covered themsevles. Smart. One of Dallas or Green Bay will probably disappoint in 2027. Dallas more likely :)

Awesome…love that they have to give away the higher of the two. Things happen - teams disappoint, QBs get injured etc. Dallas have away the option value on that

As I said earlier just compounding problem after problem. All I wanted was for them to save the picks, they should not be buyers at all. It's a GD dumpster fire.

Yes, but it's YOUR dumpster fire!🤣

Hard to make good sound deals when you are in constant desperation mode like the Cowboys. Although Jerry would like to make you think he's in full control here and he's got this. They are all over the place without a real plan. Looking forward to that Pickens 4 year/$150M deal. Their worst problem is not starting over with the QB as it fogs up their whole vision.

According to what Jerruh said last night there should be one more log on the fire (trade) before the end of the day...can't tackle, can't cover...why, why make these moves?

Got to be F'ing kidding me...under control through '27 @ $23m avg and a first round pick?

He also turns 28 in December. Not old and DTs seem to last a bit longer but Cox retired at 33. First and a 2nd when you have a ton of needs isn't the way I'd go.

Guaranteeing the Jets the better of the 2 1's is a sneaky bad move by Jerry. The difference between those picks could be worth an entire one.

Cause for Jerry it’s not about winning on the field, it’s about having them win the deadline and spotlight

I personally am happy youtube TV is standing their ground for a better deal so as not to have to increase prices for their customers.

lol what? Price was the major pain point with Sunday Ticket and DirecTV…YouTube got the rights and said hold my beer on the ridiculous price.

He is a raving lunatic and someone needs to take the keys away or put him on the railroad tracks.

Jets have 5 first round picks in 26 and 27. Time to fleece them for Tanner McKee.

Over/under jets hit in 2.5 of these picks?

If they get Minkah it would help that D for sure. That said I still can't see them not losing 3 games out of the last 8 no matter who they get and 2 losses probably knocks you out of playoff hunt. And if you want to improve for 2026 then offseason trades usually cost less

Gotta trade Jerruh to the Jets first.

Dude, he's doing an amazing job. Stop your crazy talk and let the man cook.

While we get Phillips for the worst of our thirds PLUS, Miami pays 4/5 of his salary for this year.

How much guaranteed money he have left? Cause Williams might want an extension and contracts have worked out well for Jerry and star players

Was just coming to post that. Only $5mm of his 2026 salary is guaranteed per OTC (Spotrac crashing), and another $2.656mm will be guaranteed on the 5th day of the 2026 league year. There's basically zero chance he is playing in 2026 on that contract with only $7.656mm in guaranteed money (2027 has nothing guaranteed). If this were any other team making the trade, I'd say I am SHOCKED they did it without agreeing to an extension, but it's Jerry, so of course he did.

Williams will be looking for a big money extension this offseason, inline with what Chris Jones got, and what JC is about to get. This will likely be his last big deal.

lol. Thats amazing. Makes sense (besides compensation) why the jets were willing to trade him. They probably knew he wanted an extension this offseason and I’m guessing new regime didn’t want to pay him and believe they needed to tear it all down and start over. Now they got compensated handsomely for it

The sky is indeed falling.

PHLY was talking about the Eagles having to figure out Campbell and Dean's snaps and wanting Dean on the field but not take away Campbell's snaps.

What about Dean and a 4th that could become a 3rd for Trey Hendrickson. Both teams swap rentals. Both guys with injuries--Hendrickson with a hip and Dean coming off the knee.

Not sure either team would do it, Bengals talent-wise and Eagles salary-wise, but just throwing it out there. Bengals could use a LB and if they view Dean as a long-term piece they could re-sign, maybe.
