New kickoff rule means there's 12 defenders on the field when there's a lot of wind. This rule just keeps getting better and better.

This rule needs to go away and FAST. nonono

But, now we have an illegal formation on the kickoff, because someone lined up wrong... but not the 12th guy.

Greg Olson is a moron supporting this new crap. Either a moron or a sellout. Likely a sellout.

I just thought of it but did Hurts running it himself decline after his hit during his feet first slide? I was just wondering if he decided to not run as much because of it

Now... THAT was targeting. But, no flag.

loos like concussion for legette

No one would give that.

We disagree. As for trading him for less we agree

Reminded me of when Hurts head slammed into the ground during a slide

Looked stroud took a shot to the head but on replay he didn’t. Tbh i thought luvu’s was more vicious. Seemed like the defender went for the hit cause stroud tried to hold up before sliding then slid.

TD PANTHERS!!! flex

I think Olsen is a terrible analyst but some people love him.

Its hilarious to me that there was this outcry when he got demoted to 2nd string for Brady.

I want to hear what Brady has to say. I want the Kyle Shanahan licking Olsen to just shut up.

The sliding feet first late isn't safe. Their head snaps back and hits the ground when they get hit. Running QBs need to play it safe and slide earlier

gb and their slow run run run drive to end the half

I thought the Luvu one he completely goes for the kill shot. The stroud one he slowed down like he was trying to stop to prevent the hit and took a hit and hit his head. But the Tampa and stroud one sliding and hitting his head are the ground are similar. However stroud was either trying to slow down to avoid a bigger collision or trying to brace himself before sliding.

Tbh stroud would’ve been better off just continuing to run rather than slide

Just remove the rule where QBs are allowed to do that, and QBs will have to protect themselves instead of relying on the rules to protect them. Frankly, the NFL talks about 'safety', but this is actually a REALLY easy thing to do. Go back and check the number of times a QB took a hit like that to the head (either from their head bouncing off the turf as they slide, or directly from a defender) before the sliding rule came into the league and how many times it happens now with the rule designed to protect the QBs. The answer will tell you everything. And the data will show that adding this rule actually made QBs LESS safe. They may have gotten more leg or arm injuries back then when running, but today they get WAY more head injuries. And they would get far less injuries if they just eliminated the sliding rule and forced QBs to be smarter about their running and about protecting themselves.

Wow they are babying McCarthy

They called body weight and said you have to land to the side and on the replay it's clear he landed to the side of McCarthy

Joe Alt is hurt again.

Eye in the sky both fixes this and protects people betting on the game from ref manipulation.. nah, lets keep all the power for the on the field clown show.

Drake Maye is playing awesome. Another 130+ rating day and multiple TDs

The Falcons were pretty much done.

He gets the ball punched out from a rusher he sees coming the whole way and Atlanta has the ball inside the 10.

Playing QB is hard.

Drake London with another TD grab and its about to be a 21-14 game.
