EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Last night, I watched UH warm up for the season by taking the Little Sisters of the Mercy (Lehigh) to the woodshed. I actually would get made when the lead wasn’t 20:in the second half. Then I turned over to watch the simulcast of Dallas losing to Gannon. Good night. Then wake up this morning to find out Jerrah’s big trade was for the benched Bengals MIKE. That said, Wilson was decent before his knee injury. Last place I would want to be a MIKE with injury history is in Dallas. Position and injury are cursed for dose boys.

Lehigh was undefeated and ranked #4 in the FCS division. Little Sisters of the Poor? BTW they still show as undefeated. How could UH beat them and they be 9-0?

Don't worry I'm sure Jerry will just pay him what he's worth and not make a big thing about it.

Sorry man, you're a good dude. Maybe QW plays 2026 for $21.75mm, but I HIGHLY doubt it. If I'm his agent, he doesn't step on the field in 2026 without a new contract and serious guaranteed money. He shouldn't get Chris Jones money, but 4 years, $110 million with like $60 million guaranteed should be the range.

PHLY was talking about the Eagles having to figure out Campbell and Dean's snaps and wanting Dean on the field but not take away Campbell's snaps.

What about Dean and a 4th that could become a 3rd for Trey Hendrickson. Both teams swap rentals. Both guys with injuries--Hendrickson with a hip and Dean coming off the knee.

Not sure either team would do it, Bengals talent-wise and Eagles salary-wise, but just throwing it out there. Bengals could use a LB and if they view Dean as a long-term piece they could re-sign, maybe.

Honestly I think Fangio really likes Dean and they'll play him if they think it gives them their best chance this year and Campbell will lose some snaps

He also has leverage now too. They gave up that draft capital for him. So either gonna pay him or gonna trade him like parsons.

Howie must be weighing multiple offers for AJ Dillon

Um, basketball.

So Jerry basically traded Micah Parsons, an all-pro edge rusher, and a 2026 2nd round pick for...a 2026 1st round pick that will be in the mid to late 20s, Kenny Clark and Quinnen Williams. Oh, and Clark is out of gteed money after 2025 and QW has only ~$7.6mm, so both going to be asking for extensions this offseason.

Wow...

Honing in on Myles Garrett

Over/under jets hit in 2.5 of these picks?

Pretty sure that 2027 draft could be a great one too and they'll be completely stacked

Seriously, Jerry's complete inability to understand contracts and the cap is the gift that keeps giving.

We had the fortune to have both Snyder and Jones around for a couple of decades. Let's hope Jerry can hang on for another 10 years minimum.

lol what? Price was the major pain point with Sunday Ticket and DirecTV…YouTube got the rights and said hold my beer on the ridiculous price.

Yes they increased it because of a ridiculous price paid for the ticket.

I didn't say they never increased our price before.

I said Im glad not doing that again.

I just don't get it -- you didn't want to pay the 26 year old, 3 time all-pro pass rusher. But now you're going to pay 2 older DTs, only one of whom made an all pro team back in 2022?

It's got to be killing Howie not to do something on the final day

Right now they might not be, but that deal is looking more and more ridiculous by the day.

Wow...

Long live Jerry

We'll see the Cowboys new additions up close in a couple weeks. Regardless of opponent, if the Eagles play like they are capable, it shouldn't matter. If not, as we saw vs Giants they can lose to anyone if their offense looks like a high school offense.

Would have been more concerned if they got Jeffery Simmons, that guy is a machine. I think Quinnen is good, but not a game wrecker.

After Carter and Jaire?

Doubt it

Howie doesn't swing for the fences at the deadline

The Sunday ticket deal from last year?

Apparently Colts were going for a CB that fell through then they went for Sauce so I figure Browns backed out of Ward deal

Well, we still have Jerruh and Josh Harris is off to a booming start in Washington. The Midgets aren't covering themselves with glory either. Looks like the Eagles and the NFC Least.
