WIP has always had "interesting" callers, but how did we go from Glenn Mac to all of the idiots they have now? Nothing but people trolling for clicks who look like they need to carry a frozen turkey on a windy day

Most of his moves were in preparation of the big contracts coming

That's not saying it was good or bad. It was needed. But you could probably find a GM who improved their team for this specific 2025 season better

Have the birds posted the numbers for our new players?

With no numbers left in the rotation, the new guys will be some of the first to wear

For sure. I've been critical of a few moves but again throwing that out there today isn't what some of the old school WIP hosts would have done. They had flaws but they weren't so annoying outside of Eskin.

It's hard to top last year and he certainly didn't but as you said it was different circumstances. I think he's setup the team for sustained success even tho every move hasn't worked out perfectly well

AJ Brown news lol

Rodgers and MB should have been kept. I've said that many times but he's done some decent things on paper at the deadline. That's not a take I'd put out today unless I was looking for attention.

Oh, they're definitely looking for attention. But that's the business model with all media because sports media is dying and they can no longer sustain normally without rage bait. I'd give Howie like a C+ for his year, which is a meh score. Spike gave him a D- which is 100% rage bait. But you see this everywhere in media now. You'll see in the coming weeks, the Dodgers could sign some bench player from the Pirates and the national media will act like they just signed prime Barry Bonds. ESPN still talks about Shadeur Sanders everyday. Every YouTube channel has some thumbnail of the personalities expressing shock or horror just to generate clicks, even if the video doesn't have it. It's unfortunate, but this isn't exclusive to WIP. And it's hard to argue with the formula since they're obliterating 97.5 in ratings.

This is what media is now.

Garrett an eagle yet?

I am not sure why the Chiefs are making that deal given how their run game looks.

Think some of the chiefs running game issues go to Simmons being out for a month and Taylor needing to be replaced with moore

Yeah, you are probably right. What might get attention is someone who actually talks about sports without the rage bait. Maybe I'm turning old.

Don't worry I'm sure Jerry will just pay him what he's worth and not make a big thing about it.

He will get $1,000,000 more a year than Michael Parsons.

3rd rounder for a RB whos a free agent at the end of the year is a lot. I feel like could get a 4th with conditions

If they did all they did today and don’t trade Hall, WTF are they doing

Spike Eskin is a talentless nepo baby that is a whinier skinny jeans version of his a-hole dad.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I think Howie is graded on a ridiculous curve. The first 2 picks in the draft are starting on defense and Campbell has put up some of the better stats in the rookie class while Mukaba has 2 INTs. The signings were all bargain basement given that he's setting up for future signings but he did re-sign Goedert which was a good move. And Baun was clearly the right choice as well. These trades are all TBD. I'd say B compared to every other GM.

Someone check on Dianna Rosinni. She gotta be pretty disappointed.. she’ll just change her new prediction to draft day and then probably training camp after that

LOL that account is parody but it's a good one

The Jets players keep posting gif reactions to waiting to find out if they're traded.

The draft as been good, but the whole reason he's had to make all these trades is because of things he did that didn't work out in the offseason. Basically every trade he's made so far is an attempted correction of a failed move he made during free agency.

Tank Bigsby - AJ Dillon

Jaelan Phillips - Ojulari, Uche

Getting BG out of retirement - same as above

Fred Johnson - Kendall Lamm

Jaire Alexander, Jakorian Bennett - letting Rodgers go, Adoree Jackson

Michael Carter - same as above

I don't think it was a terrible offseason, but it definitely is not up to the recent Howie standard, and we have 5 fewer picks now in next year's draft because of those attempted corrections.
