I will not rewatch this game but Dean and Baun were absolutely terrible today. Brown is not an nfl player too.

On a positive note....I hate staying up for night/late games.....no need to do that vs. the Chargers now! :)

That makes no sense when you still need to go for 2 at some point, but okay.

Yeah, you do it on the second TD instead of risking it on the first and making it a two possession game when you basically have an almost guarantee to make it one possession (I’ll give you that Jake already missed an XP but I’ll take my chances he doesn’t miss a second one).

It doesn't come down to one play. Rutgers 7th round RB running through us like a serrated knife through leftover turkey.

It never comes down to a single play, but that play was where the game was definitively lost. They had rallied back, gotten some momentum, and that just deflated it all. The missed PAT gets the honorable mention.

We still would suck and let a Rutgers 7th round rookie stuff a turkey leg down our gullet.

Yeah but it came down to that play. And his INT like HE just mentioned

I said it at the time it happened, they didn’t learn your lesson that they should have. As a Super Bowl contender you should not be hiring first time offensive coordinators and just assume because he’s been here that he’s just gonna take over and it’s not gonna be a problem. I don’t wanna hear well Moore left and they really didn’t have a lot of choices. BS they didn’t interview that many cause they wanted patullo. We knew that since the rams divisional game. They knew for weeks that Moore was leaving to go to the Saints. Everybody on this blog knew he was leaving from like the beginning of January.

I’m in the opinion you deserve what you get when you make bad decisions. Especially decisions when you should’ve Fing learned the lesson two years ago.

Yup.

I hate this team right now... as much as I hated them in 2023... maybe more, because this year I expected more from them.

I appreciate the honesty. Honestly our fanbase has a super unhealthy bout from expectations. We basically went from:

2022: WE WERE SO CLOSE OUR TEAM IS THE BEST

2023: WE COLLAPSED AND WE'RE MAD AND FIRE NICK
2024: WE WON A SUPER BOWL YAY
2025: (We WILL ACCEPT A DYNASTY AND NOTHING LESS) Flop.

For some reason we've had really high expectations the entire Sirianni era, I definitely remember almost no back to back pressure after 2018.

Baun hasnt been very good for at least 3 weeks now.

Tank Bigsby, ZERO touches.

I really think that Sirianni is the main issue on the way the offense is run. Yeah, Patullo is apparently calling plays, but this simplistic offense has been around longer than Patullo. He’s been blessed with lots of talent on that side of the ball, but when they can’t perform to their standards, then there is no plan B or C. He’s surely a good guy, just not a good offensive coach.

roll

Nick, hurts and Saquon after the game. "We gotta be better.”

It's literally the same thing, one just looks better for optics because if you don't get to do the second one, then no one can make comments like this, and because your team has more morale since they're "not out of the game".

No matter what, you have to do it, but putting it off makes it look better. You can say things like "We almost had it" if you miss conversion after the second, which makes people feel fuzzy or whatever.

You basically have a chance to make it a guaranteed one possession game by taking the XP (Jake hiccups aside). The downside of failing there which makes it two possession is too great. Especially when your defense has been getting carved. I know what the "analytics” say but I disagree with it.

The main issue on the way the offense is run is neither of those guys.

It’s dumb. Takes all the human emotion out of football. It’s one play, one nut up moment on that 2pt conversion. If you get to that point and you’re 1 point from tying, it’s a totally different ballgame.

This is just human emotion at play, one just makes people feel better and lets you make all types of excuses.

Now the 7th round rookie Rutgers RB just blasted and concussed our best DE.

Steen holds when they rush 3

Their hubris was they won a Super Bowl. And they thought that they couldn’t make bad decisions. The reality was last year‘s team was a flawed team. We all witnessed it every week but winning games cause of OL, Barkley and D covered it up. We benefited from the fact they had a historic running game, an elite offensive line that could win you games offensively when you’re passing game was frankly bad. Meanwhile, their defense was much better last year, especially the second half of the season. So those two things carried you until you pass offense figured it out the last two games of the season.

Hurts is a flat out bad passer right now. As his running widdles down and the tush push fades, this reality is being laid bare.

Dak would blush at this elite stat padding.

Saquon wasn’t an issue today.

Because it’s better to know earlier if you need two scores or three.

But if you make the extra pt you know you only need one.

Hurts has been bad but this above all else is a poorly, poorly coached team

Oh, Jalen Hurts is part of the problem as well. It’s a combination of Hurts and Sirianni IMO.

That wasnt a hold the DL saw hurts running and flailed his arms and the refs took the bait

Jalen carter gets held every play and nothing but they call that imaginary holding
