EMB Blog: 2025 Regular Season (Part 2) ... and Playoffs

Featured Replies

Thoroughly outplayed by a first year head coach and very young team. We should be 5 steps ahead of them. Yes they have talent and an offensive guru at coach but we are an established championship team

that should be in a dynasty. Seriously concerning at this stage. We may pull a 2023 or close to it.

It’s just going to get worse next week

There's no way you don't fire KP. He was verbally killed in the halftime show by Sherman and Tony. Plus the commentators mentioned all the F ups in the playcalling

That doesn't absolve Hurts. He was trash in this game

I dunno man, he looks slow to me too.

People say I’m nuts but I think both Saquon and AJj or noticeably slower/less explosive.

Hurts freezes some times for no reason.

Our offensive coordinator is horrendous.

Oline looks mid.

Defense looks tired.

Other than that things are going pretty well.

The offense ain’t mid. It’s well below average

The collapse is 100% happening until proven otherwise. Nick has lost the team because he refuses to actually hold anyone accountable for anything

Their hubris was they won a Super Bowl. And they thought that they couldn’t make bad decisions. The reality was last year‘s team was a flawed team. We all witnessed it every week but winning games cause of OL, Barkley and D covered it up. We benefited from the fact they had a historic running game, an elite offensive line that could win you games offensively when you’re passing game was frankly bad. Meanwhile, their defense was much better last year, especially the second half of the season. So those two things carried you until you pass offense figured it out the last two games of the season.

If only the Eagles fans would act accordingly rather than expecting nothing less than a dynasty, which is honestly just annoying. Here's the blatant truth.

People know that successful OCs for Hurts are probably good, so any time we go far, they'll get plucked. Until we have succession plans, we are a "tick-tock" team. Tick tock meaning strong year, less strong year, strong year, less strong year, repeat.

Our biggest fail is not hiring within, it's not planning out who to hire in advance if we end up so deep in the season it disadvantages us. There's a difference between having that hire be someone brand new, or someone you stashed as Senior Offensive Assistant for this exact reason.

It's literally the same thing, one just looks better for optics because if you don't get to do the second one, then no one can make comments like this, and because your team has more morale since they're "not out of the game".

No matter what, you have to do it, but putting it off makes it look better. You can say things like "We almost had it" if you miss conversion after the second, which makes people feel fuzzy or whatever.

All true for the most part.

But, It kills hope when you don’t get it. Thats why IMO you don’t do it there. Regardless, we’re horse ****.

I’m kinda glad the refs are screwing us lately. We need things to look bad for Patullo to get fired. It’s a slim chance, but it’s our only chance.

I said before the Dallas game I feel two losses coming and KP getting fired. Needs to happen. Nick needs to be fired as well. He is not good past vibes and coordinators carrying him.

Home field is gone

Defense held on IMO. It was 24-15 but it felt like 50-20

Offense of course is still a problem

Hurts had a horrible game IMO

I don’t know if it makes a difference considering the defense got absolutely paved, but Bigsby not getting one carry just shows the arrogance and idiocy of this coaching staff.

Nick will say "we’re close.” Nothing changes

Honestly, where did this 'Dynasty or Bust' mentality even come from? I feel like it's from seeing the best defense most Eagles fans have ever seen last year, but I'm kind of curious why no one expected repeat in 2018, but basically everyone expects it now.

They're a pushover. Williams is ass

Bears embarrassed us, tried telling you they're no pushover. Terrible just terrible

But if you make the extra pt you know you only need one.

But if you don't get it on the second try, you still need another possession, but now you have no time. Here's the reality of it though... it doesn't really matter because losing by 15 that late is almost always a guaranteed loss... its just a question of how close can you make it to get some sort of moral victory.

The collapse has already started. The offense is a dead stick. Changing OCs won’t change that. They’ll fire Patullo in the offseason.

They’ll bring in a new OC who will have a comparable offense next year and at that point everyone will be ready for a QB change.

Just one block away guys

They need to fire Patullo and have Nick holding a blank clipboard. Get them both completely away from the offense in any capacity

Why can't they? They have basically the same team, same head coach and Vic. They absolutely should be in a dynasty.

Thank god Eagles won the SB bc Philly sports are a mess right now.

glad I didn't watch the game...the defense may not collapse like 2023 but this team is..

Tank not getting a snap makes me think he slept with Stout, Nick, or KP's daughter. Or maybe he had a train on them

The defense absolutely collapsed today.

ok. firing time. QB change time.

Yup. If i'm lurie nick is getting pulled into my office tomorrow, getting a new a-hole reamed, and getting told he's firing patullo when he leaves the office and he can bench hurts for the LA game.

I think the firing of Patullo was a given...the question is how stable is Sirianni's job? The one thing for sure is that Sirianni will be given very little say in who the Eagles FO brings in for OC...
