The bright side in all this is that Sirianni (without question) will no longer have any say in who his offensive coordinator will be going forward. And the more this nonsense goes on, the more he will become solely a "ceo” type head coach (like he was last season)

Why they gave him say so this year is ridiculous.

Stanford hired a new HC. I wonder if Reich is brought in as a Senior Consultant.

Reich retired. He agreed to coach Stanford for one year because of Andrew Luck.

I think people need to let him go. At most he’s a remote consultant and probably not offering much.

My God -- the defense was on the field for 85 plays?????????? This is like the 2023 Buffalo game (which we won) where the D played over 90 snaps and never recovered.

Frankly, I thought the first half was on the defense themselves for not getting off the field. The Eagles through the first 24 minutes of the game had 2 possessions. Bears had drives of 11, 11 an 15 plays. three possessions and 37 plays. And it wasn’t like the Eagles didn’t do anything with either one of those possessions. The Eagles got a field goal on one of them. Imo the amount of plays they saw in the first half was entirely on the defense being bullied against the run. The second half is really where the offense began shitting the bed cause defense gave them a chance to take the lead. And the offense screwed it up then didn’t do anything until it was 24-9

None of this makes sense. Did they even target Dallas Goedert? There's just nothing to like about this offense. ZERO creativity to get players the ball in space. 1 yard outs to DeVonta Smith. Play action 2 yard passes that generate no separation.

Seeing the Bears run end arounds, Caleb check to a WR screen blocked perfectly. Ugh. The Eagles could never. They'd do both with DeVonta Smith being the target when it's not what he does.

Comparing our offense to the Bears offense is like kindergarten vs. grad school. Embarrassing.

I am not on the hurts hate train. I understand the frustration with everybody though. Because I’ve understood it since the time he was drafted. I think work ethic wise he is going to get everything out of his athletic talent. That’s not the problem. He just has a limitations. Which really begin to be exploited run game isn’t there and when coaching and scheming also isn’t great.

My two questions with Jalen hurts were always can you win a Super Bowl with him? Which he clearly answered, you could. And the second question after you get to that peak as the talent on offense begins to deteriorate and he’s making a boatload of money is he capable of elevating the offense to get them back? Question has yet to be answered but it isn’t pretty picture considering we have good talent and he has yet to do it this year.

I honestly think something is wrong with him.

Other than possibly being concussed (or suffering from some sort of post concussion syndrome) - something is way off with his throwing motion and it’s gotten progressively worse the last 3-4 games

Pay attention to his throwing motion on certain throws - he’s going almost full baseball pitcher wind up mode back then over the top - really bizarre - looks like he’s struggling to make the throw at times.

Did Bigsby get any carries today?

There’s just no point to keeping him around. I’ve never liked him. He’s good at nothing.

Issue is 3 of the last 4 games we’ve played unless than ideal conditions. He doesn’t have elite arm strength. It’s why against Dallas he looked as good as he did. Conditions were good and he was making some great throws early. Later in the game he missed guys and throws. Today he missed guys but his ball didn’t look good. I kind of think those conditions he has never really looked great as a passer. Packers and rams playoff games are similar. Was good as a runner but passing he didn’t look good

He was terrible. The tush push fumble was what lost them the game. They were headed down to take the lead.

I think the offense being so bad every week has just kinda broken everyone. The defense is getting tired being on the field all game and the offense has no idea how to fix the issues so everyone's confused and pressing.

All true but he actually looked decent against the Vikings and Giants before the bye. I don’t get why he’s been so off ever since. 3/4 of these teams are terrible defenses and we can’t score more than 14. Even today’s final line looked better than it actually was because of a stat padding drive at the end.

The issue is - his stats are so over the top, insanely good that they really can’t let him go - would take a collapse this season plus a losing season next year for them to even begin to consider it, imo

I’d bring them in if I could. Cause it’s better to have him in there than not. And Siani loves him so maybe that kind of helps pushing Pattulo back to the cuck room.

The issue still is Frank Reich hasn’t been watching the Eagles all year. He’s been in college, game planning for the opponents at Stanford has. So he’s not been really been dialed into the Eagles or I would assume he hasn’t been. So really not getting a set of eyes from the outside that will tell you these are the things we are seeing and these are the things we have seen used against you. Like daboll would make more sense because he’s coaching for the Giants and he had a game plan for the Eagles. So there’s things that he had to watch so he could pick up on them that maybe your coaches aren’t picking up on. But they’re not bringing in daboll either.

Williams looked similar but was supported with a running game and better play calls.

At the very least next season looks promising. Sirianni and Hurts will still be here. We'll have a big cap hit from trading AJ to the Patriots. Goedert will be gone. Dotson will be gone

The passing attack will look the same and feature Smith, Cooper, Reagor 2.0 from the draft and Calcarterra back on a cheap deal.

Get the light poles ready!

I’m telling ya - and everyone else - something is going on with him - he’s either concussed or hiding some sort of injury.

I’ve never seen him play this way - not even his rookie year.

You could tell from the first snap of this game that the Eagles were losing this game. There was absolutely no emotion on any of the players faces. Hurts looked as he always does on the sideline, but it stood out even more today. This team didn't even want to be on the field.

For the people who talk about him being the coolest whatever and whatnot, you can tell that he's really not the kind of guy that gives the team juice offensively, at least not on a consistent basis. You can see a few players on the defense that do that, but I'm not sure the offense has anyone like that.

I think Hurts is okay with that when things are going well...but he's not really the 'right the ship' kind of guy on that front.

Not that it mattered, but going for 2 instead of the PAT was a bad decision too. Take the points and keep it a one score game. Instead, they failed the 2 point and created a 2 score game. The coaching has been so bad.

It was the right decision.

The facts are they needed two TD’s and at least one 2pt conversion just to tie. Kicking the XP there just extends hope but backs yourself into a corner.

What if they kicked the XP, managed to score another TD and then didn’t convert the 2pt conversion to end the game? Games over and they lose. Going for it when they did gives them more information with more time left on the clock.

You might not be that far off - Howie and the FO have basically let it be known that all the big contract money over the next couple of years will be focused on the defensive side of the ball.

We may never have this much talent on offense again (Possibly ever)

It’s beyond saddening to see them waste it all away.

I think despite what's publicly said they don't believe in Patullo. It seems pretty obvious. Every analyst says how bad the design is. Greg Cosell is pretty unbiased. And if the analysts see it then the players see it

No. Stout ignored him today. I'm 90% sure he slept with one of their daughters

Totally disagree

By keeping it a one score game, you don't need to onside kick it, and the Bears have the pressure on them to score points.

The game was immediately over when they failed the two point conversion. You've gotta keep it a one score game as long as possible, anything can happen

He’s not concussed. That’s just silly. He wasn’t evaluated once in the last 6 weeks and hasn’t taken many hard shots to the head.

My best guess is they coached him to play this conservative based passing game, it’s clearly not working anymore, and he’s pressing and trying to do too much and making it worse.

I think they dont believe in the QB, and more and more analysts and fans are seeing it

Jordan came to the opener for Hurts to have such a dismal season

This is why I said lurie has to make a decision. Do you actually believe Nick Sirianni can fix this passing game and fix the offense. Not hire somebody else to come in and do the dirty work in fixing it. Only to leave the following year. Imo that’s not a sustainable plan.

So Lurie really has to look at it from a far and not with his emotions and ask himself if 2024 is probable again or more likely that a change is needed. He has to look at whether or not when roster on offense begins to deteriorate can sirianni elevate the personnel when he has too. At this point he hasn’t shown he can do that consistently with a stacked offensive roster
