They're told to take the penalty unless it's a malicious cheap shot

Not sure how much of that was fighting for Foles and JP just being an absolute menace.

Sirianni has basically admitted to being a "ceo” type head coach - at least he was last year. It’s simple - "This is your new co-head coach Siri - he handles the offense and the playcalling. You handle what you handled back in 2024 when we won the Super Bowl.”Pretty simple, really. It is 100% a weird dynamic. Why not just tell fangio he’s a co-head? Fangio on defense. Sirianni for the game managing and players. Then another for strictly play calling and offense. Fangio show more than any of the coaches on the staff besides maybe stoutland. What’s stopping them for making them have three co-head coaches in your scenario? Feels like a slight to fangio who’s basically that de facto HC of the defense. I doubt he’s type of person who’d care but seems like you are slighting him with his workyou seem to think Nick Sirianni is going to take a demotion of being called co-head coach. That’s 100% a demotion in his title. Furthermore don’t believe for a second he had absolutely no involvement with the offense in 2024. And that the other co-head coach, knowing that he got essentially demoted in title then why should he listen to sirianni or collaborate with him when he might be gone sooner rather than later if he screws that up. Then i didn’t even mentions human beings egos involved in this.Furthermore, if I was that co-coach, I know if I do a good job of what my responsibilities are then another team’s gonna come try to pull me away for a full-time head coaching job. that’s a promotion and likely more money. So I can angle that as well if you guys don’t give me the full-time head coach title and remove Nick Sirianni, I’m going there. So now you created a potential dynamic it’s either me or Nick at some point in time. So he gets full HC or you are going to have to find another co-head coach. So the co-head coach didn’t actually solve the issue of the carousel of the guy leaving calling the plays and running the offenseMost coaches if they get the chance to be a full-time head coach, which is a promotion from co-head coach, are leaving. Im also guessing nfl isn’t going to allow you from blocking him from interviewing cause he’s considered a co-head coach. They aren’t going to allow you to argue tampering cause you have 2 co-head coaches

November 29Nov 29 I just wanted to point out a few things that seem to be flying under the radar for the most part since there are several other issues that are far greater:-Reed Blankenship has had his worst season with the Eagles BY FAR. He got caught looking in the backfield big time on the fake that led to the TD pass to Cole Kmet. Both his coverage and tackling has been below average this season.-Jalen Carter has NOT been the dominant force he was last season, period point blank.-Nolan Smith has been a MASSIVE disappointment this year. Even beyond the injury he hasn't done much of anything when he has played-Dallas Goedert isn't the blocker he was in the past. GC gets a lot of crap for being a horrible blocker and rightfully so but Goedert hasn't been blocking to the level he has in previous season.-Hurts has regressed from an accuracy standpoint just over the last couple of weeks and Saquon isn't the same player. These things have both been discussed but it can't be overstated.-Brown has smiled more and been far more happy the last two games having gotten the ball way more and the team losing, than he was in prior weeks when they won and he wasn't a big part of the offense. When SEVERAL players have regressed, penalties are way up, the team is more dysfunctional, AND you add in the obvious problems with play calling and game planning for the offense you have to realize that while the players are responsible as well this is clearly a very poorly coached team and that is by far and away the main issue.

He's flashed but not been a great player consistentlyNolan Smith is clearly not recovered. I've never heard of a guy coming back from a triceps to be on limited snaps multiple weeks. That means he needs another surgeryAgree on GoedertHurts has had a bad few weeks. Saquon isn't hitting holes quickly tho bigger issue is OL

CJGJ hit him with a too small gesture
November 29Nov 29 This team. Flawed, but not irredeemably so. ButThe FO took a risk with a weak draft class and a need to have cap space in the future to extend players, and relied on talent and filling gaps at cheaper stores on the strip. Not unreasonableThe coaching staff promoted internally with the OC due to the HC having some power post SB win and wanting continuity. Its not worked but not unreasonable to go thereThe QB is at his best with a chip (not that one) on his shoulder. The org underestimated the toll a long season took on the org. Again. Goes to back to point 1Howie is at his best when reacting to a season that doesn't end well. I'd expect the offseason to show that but for the now, kind of mehAKA, its the whole damn team. Its a nice problem to have - you could be the Cardinals, Panthers, Jets, etc

He also playing behind an inconsistent pass rush, next to a rookie (or worse) and a carousel at CB2.Not a great year, but very noticeable when he isn’t available or worn down.Nolan needs to build some momentum, and is now playing the opposite side to accommodate Phillips (where’d he go).Goedert, no longer in his prime but decent.Jalen / the offense has become reliant on deep shots so reduced accuracy as a consequence of the weather is pronounced.
November 29Nov 29 Not that this is breaking news but I think fans in general way underrate the effect injuries have on games. I can’t imagine trying to play an NFL game with one shoulder. Or run routes with a bad hammy. Or play edge with one arm. Oline with no back. A lot of these guys are just unfortunately banged up where they weren’t last year. You can say all teams have injuries but it’s definitely relative. The Eagles have been pretty unlucky this year compared to some others.

You can say all teams have injuries but it’s definitely relative. The Eagles have been pretty unlucky this year compared to some others.I agree with this. I actually brought it up earlier in the season when I said there’s a lot of people that view these players as robots and they’re not robots. Just because you had an entire off-season to recover does not mean you are fully recovered or back to where you were last year. This is not John Madden football. This is real life. Cam Jurgens had back surgery in the end of February. Let’s say they told him it would be 6 months to where he’s starting to be back at where he can go perform football activities. That does not mean he’s going to feel the same as he did before the surgery, last year or be able to do what he did prior at that point in time. Then you got a factor in he was rehabbing all off-season for that back surgery. So instead of his normal training, he is more hyper focused on the rehabbing of his back. That doesn’t include the psychological aspect of trusting his back again to hold up. This is why I said at the beginning of the year you’re probably not going to see the best of Cam Jurgens until 2026 (assuming he doesn’t get hurt again and have to do rehab this off-season). Because next off-season he’s gonna have the entire off-season to train and be in better shape for the 2026 season.
November 29Nov 29 Speaking of injuries, the most important is Lane Johnson. Ever since he's been here we're dominant when he plays, and stink when he doesn't. The silver lining is he could be back for the Raiders game. That's a winnable game (I hope) at home, so even if he comes back after that we should win it anyway (I hope). So have to find a way to steal the game in LA next week against the Chargers, then there's some light at the end of the tunnel (I hope).
November 29Nov 29 what even is this play design? This is what they opened the 2nd half with. 3 defenders on Barkley. Is Bigsby running a route, or is he going to block in case Saquon cuts back? This is such a putrid offense.

For the most part they’ve been above average all year. When you watch around the NFL I would argue the Eagles pass blocking is top half of the league. The issue is they’re running routes that aren’t conducive to what the defense is doing, opposing defenses know our routes due to predictability that Shannon sharpe/ochoncinco continuously break down or Jalen hurts isn’t finding the open receiver when it’s there.
