Hurts takes a lot of crap in the media though bro. Like a lot. You can say it’s justified but he takes a beating.

Well when its true, you believe that stuff. When its not, you dont. Easy.

Don’t worry guys we got the fly!

Beat the devils at home. First team to do that this year.

Seems like all the other teams get sacrificed when another starts playing well

I think it is exceedingly likely that Jalen Hurts’ 2022 is just Carson Wentz’ 2017. It was a great year. But we all clung to that year with Wentz pretending that’s who he was. There were coaching issues AND talent/support issues that plagued Wentz in the subsequent years…but 2017 just wasn’t him and wasn’t repeatable.

Jalen Hurts has some coaching issues, but 2022 IS NOT him and never will be again.

Why can't we just have nice things?

Fly Flyers Fly

Sunday against the Chargers is a morale must win. The 1 seed is gone and the division is in hand (for now). If they win this game, no one is exactly going to be expecting a repeat SB title, but they’ll be getting back on track, separating themselves from 2023, and will be secure in the division lead. Lose the game…all hell breaks loose. The division is up for grabs and no one in the city of Philadelphia will expect them to win another game. 2023 all over again.

I’m gonna be at sofi. So the betting lines are off. It’s currently -1.5 eagles. Don’t be surprised when Vegas finds out I’m gonna be at the game that it swings to +3

That’s ok because 2024 Jalen Hurts won the Super Bowl and was awarded MVP of the game. That definitively proved people here wrong but they can’t accept that so they’re prattling on blaming Hurts for everything under the sun

May surprise some people to learn that Sirianni won that super bowl too, and Patullo's role would not have been insignificant either. Its almost as if there was a whole team what won it that year too. Lead by Saquon Barkley and an elite defense.

It’s a Monday.

Chargers seem to match up pretty well with what they want to do vs what we do. But they are also a Jekyll and Hyde team. I have no idea what to expect.

Jalen Hurts has some coaching issues, but 2022 IS NOT him and never will be again.

He had a decent 2021 considering first year as starter, all new coaching staff, his receivers were rookie Smitty, Reagor, JJAW and Quez Watkins. Made the playoffs. More pass yards and only 2 less TDs than 2024. And a middle of the pack defense.

Everyone remembers 2023 for the collapse, but Hurts passing numbers in most categories were actually better than 2022 except INTs. Career high pass yards, pass TDs, same game winning drives and 4th quarter comebacks as 2024. It's just the INTs that were the damaging part. The team's defense was among the worst in the league as well.

With the right coaching, he does well. He's never going to be a top passer in the league. But coaching matters. We see QBs around the league that prove this as well.

He's played terrible the last 2 weeks. So have a lot of guys. So have the coaches.

Pure brilliance

So many examples point to bad coaching.

For a team that claims to utilize analytics, values attention to detail and constantly working to improve... smh.

Seriously what the fuuuuuuuck are they doing in NovaCare for god knows how many hours per week?!

Honestly…

I coached Jadaveon Clowney and Stephon Gilmore in HIGH SCHOOL… meaning I was a lowly HIGH SCHOOL Assistant …yet I still cant figure out what they "pretend” to be doing daily and weekly…

Not comparable at all IMO for the reasons you mentioned, but also injuries. Wentz was hurt a lot, and on top of that throwing to 5000 year old desean Jackson and a washed alshon Jeffrey. 2018 wentz with this team would win 14 games and a super bowl

4*

The rest is true though

Yep. And about 90%+ of the times they are in condensed formations they run the ball. Let’s telegraph what we are doing to the defense a little more, shall we?

Jurgens might not be right all year. Back surgery and a lower body injury is rough. Maybe Toth is just an upgrade for the rest of the year.

At this point Toth is certainly a better option. Perhaps Jurgens can get into a better spot with four or five weeks off and be a better option moving into the playoffs but for now he isn't playing as good as Toth did in the games Toth played.

It is criminal to keep putting him out there. I'm assuming that is on Patullo. How in the hell can't he figure this out after all this time? It isn't just the 12 games this year. Calcaterra was no better last year (or the year before).

Woke up hoping to see we finally got rid of KP. No news. So I guess him and Siri are still grinding, looking at the tape and workin to fix it all 13 weeks in

Lane Kiffin on his way to LSU apparently. Would have liked to see him continue to build at Ole Miss.

Some of this is on Howie.

Calcaterra is just a bad football player. He can’t block. He’s not good enough as a receiver to be a real weapon and the QB could never see TE2 running a route anyway unless it’s the first read.

So the coaches either scrap all of their heavier formations and run 3 wr formations with a QB that doesn’t like to pass or they use Calcaterra as a blocking TE.

I realize the coaches are doing a bad job too, but buried in their misuse of Calcaterra is a genuine personnel problem.

Either Dotson is hot garbage or the QB isn’t capable of processing anyone outside of his 3 target comfort zone.

So much is made of CB2 (basically the 11th player on our defense being bad)…we only have 10 viable players on offense. That’s lost because we do have a good starting WR duo and TE1.

So personnel limitations, to a certain extent, force them to use Calcaterra as a blocking TE.

I don't think Stout is getting enough blame. He's dealing with injuries at Oline but he's also marching out guys that clearly shouldn't be playing. Also the run game has sucked and he's the run game coordinator. There hasn't been adjustments for the injured players. It's like business as usual although business isn't doing well

The guys playing hurt goes way above his head, that's management level type decisions. But I do not like the blocking schemes, there's no wrinkles or anything different it seems. God forbid our offense coordinator comes up with some innovation or even copy what other teams are doing that makes sense, it's a copy cat league after all.
