Barkley got fined for it earlier this year.

I guess it’s legal for everyone expect the Eagles - like almost every other penalty we seem to take that other teams don’t.   😆

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

I'm essentially 2nd or 3rd in line on the Hurts critic train, but I think too much is being made of his resistance to running. Running less is part of the natural, rational evolution of a QB over the course of their career. I may think he's the problem, but him wanting to run less and choosing to run less is not evidence of it. Do I think him running less and less effectively is laying bare his deficiencies as a passer? Sure. But it's hard to fault QB or coaches for trying to dial that up less over time.

I agree but then it’s kind of like "What exactly is it you do here?”

I don’t know what the context is but Barkley was for leading with the helmet.

I don't respect him at all for it. He only got that contract because of his running, it's the only thing that makes him a top 10 QB production wise. If he doesn't want to do it then he's just killed his value to us because he hasn't gotten any better as a passer.

I agree with everything you say after your first sentence. It’s basically what I said after the respect part. I said "The issue is you’re being paid the money you are to be a dual threat.” as well as running and being a dual threat is what makes him who he is.

I can also respect or commend the thought process of wanting to stay healthier for his team and teammates especially when we’ve lost games that couldve potentially made our playoff harder. Got hurt in 2022. We lost two games after and he had to play injured in week 18 to get homefield advantage. Or the fact that he got hurt running last year and they lost to the commanders as they were fighting for the 1 seed.

Again I don’t think it’s realistic that he can do that unless he’s somehow massively improved as a passer. That’s unlikely. he needs to be the dual threat as that’s his best version of himself and they won’t win big without it

If I were the coach and he said that to me that I don’t wanna be as much of a runner anymore, so I can stay healthy for the team. I’d say I commendable that line of thinking for wanting to being out there for your team and you thinking you need to stay healthy for them. But the best chance we have to win and was best for the team is you being who you are. giving us that dual threat and the running ability that makes you unique

To clarify, Freshmilk asked specifically to clarify if Hurts said that about THIS season, under Patullo. What you posted is from last year under Moore. I also took that answer more as annoyance from every week getting the same questions.

Hurts has not been happy with KP, many of his interviews point to that. Early in the season he yelled at KP on the sidelines. He said in an interview they shouldn't play to not lose. At times he just replies "ask KP." Those comments don't align with the idea that the offense is Hurts offense. Now, it's possible KP isn't confident enough to take control and shies away from things Hurts doesn't prefer. Either way, that's poor coaching from KP and Nick. Hurts isn't Brady or Manning, he doesn't get to call the shots.

How dare you bring facts into this. It's all the QB's fault.

McNabb also wanted to run less as he got older.

Players can say what they want or don't want, but it's the coaches who decide.

He isn't a good fit with KP. One has to go.

At the end of the day Nick has to go and they need an offensive coach so it won't matter if they lose an OC.

Nick is the benefactor of Howie giving him an embarrassment of riches in terms of talent and some good coordinators who carried him to SBs.

Ex eagle legend Christian Ellis on that beautiful hit

Boy did I love that hit. Went to my first Eagles game in 1959 against the Chicago Cardinals. That hit is the football I grew up with in the 60's, 70's and 80's. QBs couldn't **** foot out of bounds to avoid a hit, slide in the middle of the field to avoid a hit,, throw the ball 10 yards into the stands to avoid a hit and avoid a grounding call. Now you can't hit a QB low, you can't hit him high, you can hardly touch him. That hit was football in the 60's 70's and 80's before QBs were considered a special type of player.

Nick is weird and they are so secretive it’s hard to know what he actually does but I think he definitely has something about him that is contributing to the winning.

One minute it seems like he has nothing to do with the offense but then you hear it mic’d up and he’s calling plays in crucial spots.

He doesn’t seem to have any idea how to design an offense but at the same time he has some kind of secret sauce that helps them win.

I don’t think he’s just a CEO coach but if you listen to him it seems like he doesn’t even do that 😂

It’s really confusing but it’s not all Howie. It’s too consistent for him not to have anything to do with it.

There is absolutely nothing "Penn State” about that guy. Will definitely piss off a lot of those rednecks. Love it

Show me how this is a cheap shot or a dirty play? This new generation of talking heads sucks so much.

Dart is in a full sprint and clear line for a 1st down. Ellis is in a full sprint to stop him from getting the 1st down. Both players have a goal in mind. Get 1st down, stop 1st down.

Ellis delivers an absolutely beautiful shoulder to shoulder tackle with violence. It's a an ideal shot from a LB.

Big hits don't equal dirty hits.

That was an absolute shot too. Hats off to Johnson for coming to his defense even if it was legit

Yes... hats off to him for taking a 15 yard penalty and turning 3rd and short into 3rd and long.

Dart needs to learn to protect himself, his teammates shouldn't have to come to his rescue when he's a dumb dumb. That was dumb.
