December 2Dec 2 I've been calling for a Slay reunion for several weeks here. Make it happen Howie. We can only pray Becton weasels his way out of LA as well. It will be immediate upgrades on both sides. Wanted CJGJ as well when it was possible. Don't F up this one Howie. We just need someone half competent back there. Q, Coop and he know what to do in this defense.

He was like 90% signing bonus.Arnold ended up on IR. I could see Lions bringing him back.I do wonder if Rosenhaus will scare teams off claiming him, saying he might retire. Still wouldn't cost them anything, just embarrassing. The tweet says "will consider signing..." so maybe they are trying to keep guys away.Eagles should put in a claim.

Lions are on the outside looking in with the Playoffs and a tough schedule remaining. He should steer away from there. He wants a chance to repeat here, which should be more appetizing.

He was still very good in man, but had a rough year when playing zone the year before. Im not totally convinced he is washed yet. Might look better back in Fangio's D.The bad news, and the good news is, its not gonna hurt to try because CB2 is already such a mess here.I wasn’t playing close enough attention… was he really struggling with the Steelers? Healthy scratch seems odd.

Its no worse than the attempted Jaire trade - may as well have another dart throw to try and fix the problem. What's the harm

Turns out slay wasnt done, he just needed a different DC. Slay struggled with zone stuff that year, seemingly because any player he was passing his man off to was out of position all the time in that horrible defense. That same year Bradberry struggled with man stuff. But Bradberry never really was a man CB to begin with so it makes sense he would fall off quick.Slay had elite athleticism and could stand to lose a step and still be solid.
December 2Dec 2 Slay has IQ and can be in the right place to make up for loss of athleticism. Adoree is simply taken on a ride, literally, on the field every time. He looks like he's close to making a play, but never makes it. And sure looks like he lands impact to his head a bunch. Ringo is just plain not equipped to play CB as many knew when he was drafted. With stiff hips and not the greatest anticipation level out there. 2/3 of Slay is better than either of those 2 at 💯. This is like a no brainer.
December 2Dec 2 Kinda think if the Eagles were interested they would have tried at the deadline instead of Alexander. Maybe Steelers weren't ready to throw in the towel at that point.

Steelers were waiting for Samuel. Still don't understand why Eagles didn't take a shot at him and put him on PS to see what's up.

Pretty sure Slay was a starter then.

December 2Dec 2 Gotta think they’d bring Slay back if possible. Don’t the Lions play a ton of man? Seems like a weird fit for Slay at this point

If they are cutting bait after one more start I find it hard to believe they wouldn't be open to trading him.
