No he wasn't. His contract is practically the same then as it is now.

That's fair. But Steelers can't dump him without a backup plan and what they invested in him. They gave it every shot. Now Samuel is ready. Eagles seem to be pinching pennies this year regardless. Kinda disappointed in all of that and what I have come to expect there.

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

They still are in 1st place and Slay only started one more game after the deadline. Fans were calling for his benching all October too. If they are cutting bait after one more start I find it hard to believe they wouldn't be open to trading him.

Ravens are in 1st place now (win tiebreaker) and are surging while Pittsburgh is now the 9 seed in the conference.

Fair enough, I wasn't sure how the tiebreakers worked for them.

I would definitely bring him to the PS to see if he's shot. Or even if he demands it, the main roster if they claim him or vet min. Curious to see how much interest Howie will have.

Well with Alexander gone, they can go Slay now even if he wasn't their top option.

Although we know the Eagles don't ant to cut Gibson or Dillon for roster space so no room for Slay.

There is zero point having Covey and Gipson on the roster together - can easily move one of them to the PS

Thank God Sydney is heading back to the bench

Hate how there is nothing but terrible Eagles podcasts. Wish the BGN one cpuld be allowed to comeback.

Listen to the Nick Foles one. He’s actually pretty good at explaining things and what he’d do. I know he’s your hero too so it’ll make for a good listen for that

It’s a shame he was only in week 3 last week. Brown wasn’t the reason they lost but he was really bad after re-watching it.

Not sure I’d call ravens offense surging. Their offense is still bad. Lamar hasn’t thrown a TD pass in 3 weeks. Tbh they have the same issue where they refuse to just get out of shotgun. Henry’s yards per carry is ridiculously better from pistol/i-formation than shotgun. Plus their OC has questionable gameplans.

Marcus Epps >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sydney Brown at S.

A very real upgrade

He wasn't the reason because Williams missed the throws.

Yup. Also some of run stuff he also sucked. He had the swift juke but he was bad against the run in general. Bad angles and bad tackling

Yeah, Epps is better. Schematically, I’m still concerned as you don’t really want Epps or Reed matched up against WRs. Mukuba had the athleticism to be the de facto dime back if the offensive formation forced it. Sydney was fast… so on paper could do those things.

Reed hasn't looked good in the years CJGJ wasn't here. Sum I greater than the parts with those two.

Tend to think playing with a rookie is an issue until the rookie has the game starting to slow down. I’d probably bet in 2026 Mukuba and Reed tandem would look better. However don’t know if Reed is back

Reed isn’t as bad as that, and I think they’re are some legitimate reasons why he is having a down year… but yeah, he isn’t playing ‘good’ which hurts in a contract year (not that I see him pressing, etc.).

I hope he makes us eat those words

Turned around and badly beaten twice in the end zone.

Had his ankles broken by Swift

And many more lowlights

Reed's projected market value is supposedly around $10M-12M /year last time I checked. I don't bite at that price. But it may be lower now. Great undrafted player. But he ain't gonna get any faster. I'd take him for around $6-8M based on 2 pretty good years and 2 pretty bad years.

Just heard the news.

So did we sign Slay yet?
