I’m not a "media is trying to get us” guy, because normally where there’s smoke there’s fire, but I didn’t get the vibe that the source or source(s) were putting out. Seemed engaged and trying to lead.

You can say that about any signing but with Slay there’s an emotional attachment from the fan base and I’m not sure it’s worth stirring that up just for a JAG.

December 3Dec 3 I think one of the funnier things about the "players don't get the 2023 vibe" articles is, what do you think the players are going to say? "Yup this is exactly how it was back then and we're heading on the same direction". In 2023 they were all saying the same thing "team effort, we just have to clean up the mistakes blah blah blah".Press more about the coaching, players have already slipped enough to signal they're a problem (Dickerson comments about not practicing the 5 man front, AJ's "ask KP" for almost every offense related question, pretty sure goeddert had one also). And on the press the coaching piece, maybe ask some tough Fing questions when talking to sirianni and patullo. JFC do they want substance or do they want just any answer? Bring up statistics when they roll out their BS coach speak. "Coach how does it feel to have an offense that's only scored 21+ points in 4 games this season?" "Analytics say you're the worst rushing offense out of tight formations, why do you keep doing it?" These are things that revolve around them, and not the players so there won't be any "he just doesn't want to throw this player under the bus".

Seemed engaged and trying to lead.Everything we know about him from both his own comments and others is that he's obsessed with winning. So no, he wouldn't be in the corner "polishing his Jordan logo and not giving a crap."He's a fairly quiet and stoic person. Especially in media interviews. At times, he is vocal. Go watch all the mic'd up films, locker room videos, even in game broadcasts the pre-game huddle he is loud, vocal, hyping guys up. There's nothing wrong with players having different personalities and being quiet. DeVonta Smith is quiet. Lane Johnson is pretty calm and quiet. Dickerson is loud and vocal. Mailata is vocal and jokes around. But nothing suggests Hurts doesn't care about losing and would care about his personal brand more, it's the opposite. I don't know how anyone can be an Eagles fan and not realize that by now.

Which makes sense given that Reed is beat up and Sydney isn't assignment sound. The DL typically does a good enough job without the safety help, but the Bears OL is very solid and a short week seems to be a real problem for our guys (specifically Carter). Obviously, getting washed out and poor tackling wasn't part of the plan - but if the D gave up more points three quarters through via big pass plays would've that been much better.JD played 60% of the snaps and was OK. Sometimes I wish Vic used a deeper rotation to spare the starting DTs but then I get a dose of Byron Young - big drop off.If Herbert plays then the Eagles need a real pass rush against a poor Charge3rw38 minutes ago, BDawk_ASamuel said:He at least contributed while he was here. I was hoping the Eagles would sign Samuel to the practice squad like the Steelers did and them activate him after a game or two. I hope Howie at least tried.

December 3Dec 3 If we can sign Slay, we can have a solid secondary with Epps coming in at safety. Epps has history with Reed and Slay. That is the most seamless path to having a secondary that may not be a Black hole, especially if the pass rush comes back. Need guys just to be on the same page. They are a mess right now with this group with Brown and Jackson. Having higher IQ is part of the current problem. Sign me up.

December 3Dec 3 lines up with what I thought before Dean came back. Campbell wasn’t doing a great job against the run. That when Dean came back that he’d take over thy area cause he was more experienced and better at it
