Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Maybe they do some 4-3 on early downs, get Campbell dean and baun on at the same time. Maybe some 3-3-5 if they can get 2nd and long

Given their weakness at OT i might suggest 5 on the line as base Def

Iowa State coach Matt Campbell has consistently been a top target for NFL teams, with reported interest from the Jets, Browns, Bears, and others, but he has not accepted an NFL offer, instead choosing to remain at Iowa State through recent contract extensions, most recently through 2032 with a $5M/year salary, although Penn State is heavily pursuing him as of December 2025. He's known for turning down other high-profile college jobs (like Ohio State, Arkansas) and NFL opportunities, valuing his commitment to ISU despite his rising stock in the coaching world.

He's a name I've been hearing the past month or so before all this other stuff starting happening. Supposedly has done very well with very limited resources at Iowa State. As a PSU fan I'd be happy with the hire assuming they can finalize a deal.

First time I read this I thought they were hiring Glen Campbell, but then I remembered he's a Wichita lineman

Mariota played really well last week and seemed in rhythm. Though, Mariota always makes that one boneheades play a game where he looks like a rookie.

May take awhile for Daniels to get back into the flow. He will probably be injured by the time we get him. Cowboys season ended yesterday. The ship sailed and they came up short. I expect two more losses from them.

Diabolical

Bill Calaroulo just opened up his show with Cowboys/Lion talk. Fine, you wanna go Eagles before anything, figured they would get to the Sixer's game after. Nope, nothing. The second segment I thought for sure they would start with the Sixer's game but nope, nothing. They didn't discuss them at all during the second segment. How do you not open your show with that or at least get it in towards the start? The Sixer's team is gonna be the talk of this city and will be a top NBA team in 3 years. No one wants to go for the ride, just wanna jump on later. Terrible.

Landon Dickerson absent from practice for some reason

What is interesting is who can they bump inside to take some snaps. I'd think the base would be Smith/Hunt, Young, Davis, Ojomo, Phillips. I'd expect BG to get snaps inside on pass rush downs to spare the DTs, and I wonder if Phillips could move inside too. Smith/BG/Phillips/Hunt on obvious passing downs as a NASCAR package.

Short for he’s done in Arizona…

Also, the brilliant insights of Kirk Herbstreit aside, let's stop the nonsense about Dallas going undefeated from here. They're 6-6-1, and their only impressive wins were at home against us and the Chiefs when they got some ABSURD home town refereeing. Meanwhile, they managed to lose to the Panthers on the road and the Cardinals at home (yes, the Cardinals at home). They are a wildly inconsistent team, and their defense is garbage beyond the DTs (and when every meaningful pass play by the opponent isn't called back).

They have a home game against the Chargers and 2 division road games left. 3-1 would be a great outcome for them.

He’s never been offered a HC gig at tOSU lol

Oh, and this seems encouraging for the next 4 games...

Pickens will be that Diva who you have to monitor. Almost like AJ. Think he and Jones eventually will lock horns and he never gets that long term deal there. They will probably have to franchise him and he will turn into one unhappy Diva on your hands. Not sure teams will give up a fortune in a trade for him like people think. He's certainly a large risk in any big free agent deal and or trade. Also, Flournoy looks good. May just ride him on the cheap for 2 more years.

The automatic first down rule for illegal contact and defensive holding make no sense

If there was no automatic first down, the end of games would get real ugly. Teams with a lead would just tell their DBs to maul the receivers until the ball is thrown knowing that giving up 5 yards on a 3rd and 10 and replaying the down is well worth the trade-off of burning precious time off the clock. Remember that NFCCG against the Panthers? It would be 10x worse.

Pickens is right in a way. They all pretty much failed or came down to earth once LoB was dismantled

You wish!

He and his wife have a DIY channel on TikTok. Fans are always saying stop doing that stuff and risk getting hurt and focus on getting healthy.

The sad thing is he eats Jackson alive in every matchup. Need to get CB2 fixed by next year. Imperative. Howie screwed that one up bad. Now we're begging for 80 year old Slay. Was calling for signing Asante all season. And look, he graded very well last week in 1st week. Should have showed him the red carpet. Didn't even arrange a meeting. Asante and CJGJ fixes this secondary for peanuts and no draft compensation. Howie didn't even bother. No, we rather have Jakorian Bennett, Michael Carter, Jaire Alexander and spend draft picks and lose Booker.

Pickens is wrong. Sherman was the best CB in football over about a five year period. He was all-pro several times and had even more PB's. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he even had one really good year with the 49'ers in his early 30's where he either made the PB or was all-pro. He just didn't age well which isn't uncommon for CB's. Pickens was also dogging out it on the field last night and his body language was horrendous. No that Sherman isn't a borderline clown too, but Pickens is much worse. I pray that Dallas pays him 40 million a year.

The reversed safety was a head scratcher

There was not only NOT indisputable evidence to overturn it, there WAS indisputable evidence that it was a safety. I find myself saying "that's one of the worst calls I have ever seen" more and more all of the time. Also, is there is a crew that loves to get themselves on TV more than the one led by the Nepo baby?

Seems like the perfect comments/play to get that long term deal in Big D
