Then they got the bright idea to do the same for team message boards. Not only would that platform would be uniform, it would run on the same DB. That means you would have the same log in here as you would on the other 31 teams. We were one of the very first to make the switch so good for me, bad for anyone that goes by Paco on another team board.

It also got rid of the report feature and used an upvote down vote system instead of reporting. They kept using the word "crowdsource” to defend that decision. Problem is these boards are tribal in nature and it became very easy for cliques to gang up on people.

Oh, and it was ugly as hell.

A few days in, Ed, myself, PFFB and a few others got on a call with Edwin, a few eagles tech folks including (I think) one of the dudes from the NFL that was pushing this and we tore into all the points above and more. Give the eagles credit because they heard us, backed us and made the switch back shortly after. NFL seemed to drop the idea too because no one, to my knowledge, made the switch. (I was cool with the Mods on the Denver site and gave them a heads up. Apparently they were never approached and kept their board for years to come.)

Fing Edwin, that’s back when WU was big and everyone went to another board for a period. I’m thinking it was something P.fil setup but maybe it was another poster.

Random dumb question. Practice squad players can be elevated to the 53-man roster 3x, after which they must be signed to the 53-man roster in order to play in another game. Patrick Johnson was elevated from the PS for the season opener against Dallas and then signed to the 53-man roster for the next 7 games. Now that he has been released from the 53-man roster and resigned to the PS, are his elevations "reset" to 3 games, or is he only eligible to be elevated in 2 more regular season games?

I'm not 100%, but I believe it resets.

Also I absolutely disagree with a previous comment that Feeley looked better than McKee. Frankly I don't even think it's been close. A.J. looked like a good backup and passable starter. McKee has looked fantastic every single time he's played. I still think he could not only be a solid NFL starter but actually even a star.

No. It lasts until the post season and then it becomes unlimited.

I didn't say Feeley looked better. I said he had shown more aka was more proven. McKee has one start to his career in a meaningless season finale. Feeley before traded went 4-0 and locked up the #1 seed.
