It is and Koy Detmer won in San Francisco, would have won out and done so in a way that he would have never seen the bench again as a Philadelphia Eagle.

I feel like there was a guy on the Eagles that did this exact same thing as Koy, but in a Super Bowl against Tom Brady and the Patriots. And yet still saw the bench eventually…

Per the police report he was involved in a police chase after refusing to stop for police for a traffic violation, crashed his car, and abandoned his car, and when police eventually found him some distance from his abandoned car he was dead from self inflicted gunshot wound.

Very tragic all around.

Hes a cowboys fan from Georgia, but a bunch of his biggest career moments coincidentally happened when the show was in Philadelphia, so he’s recognized it’s sort of become his professional home turf

Eh, when it is suicide, it means they have been suffering for a long time. If it was something quick like an accident, yeah it’s tragic, but you know they weren’t in pain for months/years.

I’ve lost several friends to suicide and it always seems to hit harder.
