We MUST go into next season with a legitimate long term prospect to replace Hurts. #1 draft priority. Enough already. This team is too talented to be held back by one person every week.

Hurts isn’t going anywhere and there’s going to be holes at OT, WR, TE, and edge.

Would love to see McKee get a start or two with the 1s

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

They were never gonna bench Hurts at halftime. The score was 10-6. Still a close game. If the Chargers were winning big at half then I can see sitting Hurts but not when its still a 4 point game.

No they never were going to. Doesn’t mean that’s the right decision. They should have benched him at halftime and they should bench him for the next game. Every week for the last 5 I’ve heard "that was Hurts worst Eagles performance”.

Do we win this game with Lane and Carter?

Team is walking dead

That was the time to do it, when you can still win. It was close because of the defense

It was 1st and 10. Just a garbage throw and decision.

The decision was fine. He just had poor placement.

No. Because we have Sirianni, Patullo and Hurts.

Exactly - Ill excuse it on 3rd down or even 4th down but no need to make a dangerous throw on 1st and 10 when you are already in the red zone

Even if AJ didn’t have the 2 drops, Hurts played terribly. He’s not going to get benched but he needs to start running. He is so unwilling to scramble it makes every decision he makes worse.

Probably not. Hurts was so bad

I actually think with more air under the ball it's probably a TD pass to Dotson, but there's no need to try and fit it into a tight window in that moment. I wish they would have run that to the other side of the field

Nope. Neither has anything to do with how awful hurts was

Just now, Connecticut Eagle said:

Yeah, that's the reason why Hurts was inaccurate. Or didn't see open receivers. Or why OL missed blocks. Or why AJ and Smith dropped balls.

It actually is a huge reason…if you have to hurry something, you’re prone to make more mistakes. It’s basic human nature…the OODA loop comes fast, no reason to artificially speed it up.

Who cares? We were playing the Chargers’ JV OL.

I don’t think there is a realistic way to draft and groom a qb into action before the talent on this team erodes. It simply takes too long. AJ will be long gone, they’ll need all new weapons besides Smith, and an overhauled OL.

If someone really believes in this roster, then either McKee needs to turn into Brady (or at least 2001 Brady, not prime Brady) or they need to figure out something with a veteran.

Regardless, they need to divest from their cap commitments on offense. They can’t have this kind of money wrapped up in a bottom 5 unit.

The ball should have just been thrown into the ground at Goedert’s feet

One thing that I have rated in Hurts is that he comes up big in critical moments or have to have it type drives. That has been missing this year:

  • Dumb sack to end the Dallas game

  • INT in OT today

  • 2 chances against Broncos came to nothing

  • Failed to put away games multiple times forcing D back on the field

Even in wins there were similar type plays

The biggest issue is we can’t get out of bad play calls because there isn’t any damn time to do it.

The Seahawks or Niners will kick our ass

Maybe but with how many turnovers there were they wouldn’t deserve it anyway

1 why was he throwing into double coverage?

2 why was he throwing to a dude with 1 target on the night there?

Proper placement was the stands.

Nope. You cannot survive 5 turnovers by your QB very often. It was a well deserved loss. The fans will blame Siri, egg Patullos house but this loss was on the players. Turnovers and missed catches.
