Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Sucks to lose any game but this one hurt. After the Chargers got 3 in OT I thought that was it. But they marched down the field and actually thought they were gonna get a TD. So disappointed. Blew this game against a very good team and really good defense.

The decision was fine. He just had poor placement.

Respectfully disagree. It's first down. No need to throw where defenders are. Throw to Goedert or into the stands. 2nd and ten in FG range is a better choice.

I don’t think there is a realistic way to draft and groom a qb into action because the talent on this team erodes. It simply takes too long. AJ will be long gone, they’ll need all new weapons besides Smith, and an overhauled OL.

If someone really believes in this roster, then either McKee needs to turn into Brady (or at least 2001 Brady, not prime Brady) or they need to figure out something with a veteran.

Regardless, they need to divest from their cap commitments on offense. They can’t have this kind of money wrapped up in a bottom 5 unit.

They just need a barely competent QB. Hurts can't even manage to be that right now

Random observation after checking the box score:

Jalyx Hunt had 2.5 sacks today and I noticed him less rushing the qb than Young, Smith, Davis, or Phillips.

Proper placement was the stands.

Nah. If he threw the ball a foot higher it’s a completion. Ideally it’s also be more to the sideline where only Dotson can make a play.

The raiders are actively trying to lose, otherwise I would agree

He probably got a combined minus 3 yards on those sacks.

This roster was built to repeat as SB Champions. Chiefs done. The league was ours.

Patullo sucks. Hurts worst season. O line injuries & run game issues. F.

Also…Brandon Graham shouldn’t be on the field. Make up a fake injury, go on IR and back to retirement, and get Uche back out there.

Which why you don't make a defendable throw there. It's the wrong time to forget Sirianni's risk aversion.

Even if AJ didn’t have the 2 drops, Hurts played terribly. He’s not going to get benched but he needs to start running. He is so unwilling to scramble it makes every decision he makes worse.

He doesn’t even have to run…he needs to step up on the pocket and not either, A: run backwards or B: flush at the first sign of pressure. He’s lucky he didn’t have about 3 strip sacks tonight too.

He’s an NFL QB. Make a good throw. It was there to be made.

1 why was he throwing into double coverage?

2 why was he throwing to a dude with 1 target on the night there?

  1. Why were they 3 yards from each other on their routes

FYI...I made only one post tonight, after the game.

Saying "Oh, well" after a performance like tonight is avoiding the reality that Hurts isn't playing well since the break.

When did I say oh well? You have some great McKee plan to win the SB?

You think they should lose for a better draft pick?

Are there teams you fear in the 2025 NFL? We should just give up because we might have to face Darnold?

Did you see me say anything about after that home playoff game?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears or Packers or Seahawks/Rams would be favored vs Philly in Philly.

How about you actually add something to the conversation instead of late hitting me after the game?

Take a deep breath and read the thread. Trust me, I was all over Hurts.

He has not been good since the bye. I have no interest in lies.

I'm not going to crucify him for bad weather games when Goff and Love were worse but this was in perfect weather in a roofed stadium.

He was awful. He had 5 turnovers, 2 on the same play, and it could have been 6.

Make everything the same and they still might win if he does not fumble.

No way in hell you can do anything but immediately secure the ball and fall down there.

He failed to do that. That was a Mike McMahon play.

The problem is that he was playing like an MVP before the bye and everyone was spitting at him in ignorance.

People mistakenly think I am defending Hurts when I am just defending reality. I like Super Bowls. He went to 2 of them as a great player.

Nah Chargers are a good team. If they dont handle the Raiders this weekend, they might as well forfeit the rest of their games.

It was defendable because it was a bad throw…

It was RPO too - backside receivers arent running routes, line is run blocking. The DE freezes with eyes on Hurts, even handing it off for a 2-3 yard gain is fine there

we can only hope

Graham doesn’t know when it’s time to let go and the Eagles don’t want to tell him.

They will beat DC twice just to screw their draft position

Could make a play are the key words though…throw it into the stands and try again next play. Dotson would have still had a circus catch from the angles i saw.

Strong disagree. That window is way to small. He should not try that during the 158.3 Vikings game and sure as hell should not try it with 4 picks already.

Maybe. But the guys we thought we on the team aren't on the field. Johnson and Carter are out. Mailata, Dickerson, and Jurgens are not the players they were last season. Neither is Brown. We can't just walk out on the field and out-talent the opponent like last season.

Even if this team trips into the playoffs, there's no way in hell they can go into next season with the Sirianni and Hurts duo. They just can't. This thing is so broken. And we both know bringing in an new OC isn't going to change much. Just like Moore didn't. He changed a little, but not a ton. There's no way you can have a functional organization where you essentially tell your head coach to pound sand and give up all your responsibilities and not alienate him to where it doesn't impact his coaching... which sucks as it is. So if the plan is to fire Patullo and hire some hot shot coordinator, that plan Fing sucks. This team needs wholesale change. And I've seen it before where something is broken and they stick with it just a bit too long and the thing starts to impact future years.

But going into this duo again next season will be a disaster. It'll start off next season with bad vibes right from the jump. The staleness and the stink still on the team.
