We gave extensions to oft injured players Cam and Landon

Also gave an extension to Nick. Though it doesn't impact the cap

Hurts is here until 2026 or 27. I don't remember

This is our world

Good news. I got an email back from VABeach_Eagle, he is ok. He has been tending to his mother's health as she's been in the hospital, and exhausted lately. He says he will be more available to log on

Siriani mentioned the great week of preparation in his presser. That has always been the issue with Hurts. If the play does not unfold exactly like it does in practice, he panics and does not know what to do.

The Chargers first TD drive was because of something so simple that any QB can do it, except Jalen Hurts. Herbert climbed the pocket, the defense reacted, and a simple dump off to his RB turned into a 60 yard play.

Hurts has been terrible for a few weeks but there's 0 evidence of what you say has 'always' been true. There's a lot of revisionist history going on now.

Also Sirriani doesn't have a lot of credibility when talking about prep at this point

He should have had a huge touchdown on the first play of the game that way, but AJ decided to dog it again and dropped the pass.

You can only ask a QB to bail out a ish offense so much. Even the most talented passers in the league can't do that.  Name whoever you want, but with no running game and crappy blocking there isn't a QB on earth that will play consistently well.

Hurts played an awful game but the coaching is by far the biggest issue.  The Tanner McKee stuff is an absolute joke.  He'd be injured after two drives with this offense

Name the last time Hurts bailed out our ish offense. He's not that guy

That's an insane stat

In that world I just got to put on 2 Super Bowl rings on Sunday (literally the real ones at an event) so I'm going to be irritated about this season but our world isn't that bad

That's the problem, they have to be "wide open". Would you rather have a dump off that gains yards or the wonderful slow Hurts trying to get the edge and fail?

Hurts goes back, looks around , panics and gets happy feet and throws it away or runs for the edge. Take the dump off. And sometimes (gasp) you have to anticipate a throw. This is the NFL windows are smaller and you have to throw it on time.

Right, right, the whole offense would be unlocked if Hurts just "anticipated"

If you actually believe this you're kidding yourself.

He made an anticipation throw to Smitty who fell down and the pass got picked.

His 3rd and 15 pass was 100% anticipation, probably the best throw of the season for him.

His last throw was an anticipation throw but Dotson and Goedert were like 5 yards away from each other.

Every freaking throw can't be an anticipation throw. I'll be the first to admit that Hurts isnt going to be out there threading needles all day long, but that doesn't have to be the only way to move the ball. The coaches should be able to help him out a little bit--especially if they're going to constantly put him in 2nd and 3rd and longs all game.

What did Tank say or do to Stout, Singleton, Nick, and KP that they don't want to let him run the ball

There is a lot of blame to go around offensively. Some is due to injuries to the OL and I’d say that most guys are playing below their standard.

Jalen Hurts is a big part of the problem when his surroundings aren’t superb IMO. He has his intangible strengths, but also some glaring weaknesses as a quarterback.

His legs, will, dedication, good deep ball and some clutch passes have been a plus, but his lack of arm strength, lack of timing throws, erratic ball placement, lack of going through progressions are a big negative when you’re trying to sustain drives consistently. He’s not a quarterback that gets better with age, as his strengths deteriorate faster with age.

The main issue I have with his Qb play is that he doesn’t make the players around him better. Not one. He doesn’t elevate their play. He is dependent on really good players and it shows when things don’t go well.

Go find me any evidence at all that Sirianni and/or Patullo can design an effective passing offense.

I can't remember a single instance last night where a receiver was schemed open. Maybe their little Goedert RPO which is a Hurts thing and not a Sirianni thing.

Even on the game ending interception they called a pass play to the short side of the field with two receivers in virtually the same spot. I guess Hurts is just supposed to throw it out of bounds ever other play, which I'm sure you'd all love.

The play was just a bad play call that was poorly executed by Hurts. It looks like an RPO. Dickerson is about 3 yards downfield when Jalen throws the ball. Although, it looks like Saquon never thought he was going to get the ball. Mack, the DE, does not bite on the run. Jalen should have handed it off if it was an RPO. They have 2 receivers on the route that are covered by 3 defenders. Goedert is not open at all. Arguably Hurts makes the right throw to Dotson but the problem is there isn't enough space to fit a throw over the CB because of the spacing on the field. The CB makes a good play but it's not some amazing game saving play. He had time to react to a throw and most CBs can make a play on that ball. Even if the throw gets over the CB, Dotson is covered. This is the bigger issue to me. There is no defender in conflict on the play. Saquon would have been bottled up. Mack pressures Hurts into the throw. Goedert is covered and Dotson is covered. What does that play do to make things difficult on the defense. They knew what play it was and had a defensive call that eliminated any chance of it being effective.

Pats and Eagles are about the same as a running team, Pats average slightly less per carry than the Eagles. I can not speak to the Pats pass blocking. Drake Maye is top 3 in most passing categories. His leading receivers are Stefon Diggs, Hunter Henry and Mack Hollins. Yes, Mack Hollins.

Yeah. The Pats have good coaching, we don't. They can run the ball. We can't.

They've also played a bunch of garbage teams.

Saquon Barkley had a career year last year in part because of Hurts. AJ had a career year 3 years ago. And quite frankly as bad as Jalen played AJ should have had 200 yards last night. His throws to AJ were his best ones

I might be remembering incorrectly, but I thought Hurts could’ve actually hit Goedert for a short gain on that play instead of going for Dotson. Goedert looked open for about a 5 to 6 yard gain…

Aikman seems to be one of the only announcers not afraid to point out when receivers are open and Hurts is not seeing them or delivering the ball. He pointed out several last night. Don't give me Hurts is pressing because he has to crap. He's a bad qb unless someone is wide open standing right in front of him.

The league low YAC said a lot about the overall passing games deficiencies.

Lol okay. You can defend him as much as you like. He did win us a Super Bowl last year and he played well to do it. That said he doesn't play well now and he's slower and that was one of his best weapons.

I am beyond bored at Eagles fans worshiping other teams.

Not only can they beat the Rams. They already did. Three times in just over a year.

They beat Green Bay 3 times since the start of 2024.

If you have a crystal ball that says Lane Johnson and Jalen Carter won't play in the playoffs then I might be slightly worried about playing the Rams.

I'm not worshipping other teams. It's just reality. Yea we beat the Rams earlier this year. That was awhile ago. They aren't beating them currently unless something drastically changes in the next 4 games.

Oh I’m not saying he hasn’t had his share in the success, but I still stand by the assessment of his strengths and weaknesses. He’s not the guy that makes the players around him better. S. Barkley had that year because of the tremendous blocking of the line and his breakaway speed.

Yes, AJ should have caught those passes from Jalen. Those should have been caught.

He's played well enough but has to be willing to run to make a difference.

Goedert has a defender that could make a play on the ball underneath him and another on top of him. He wasn't open.

I'm not saying he's playing well, I'm saying our coaching is THE far and away biggest problem and they're not putting him into a position to play well.

Name a single offensive player who has gotten better over the season......

Even Barkley is playing like dog crap. He's missing wide open holes and for the love of god, can he stop running out of bounds???

Smitty is probably the only redeemable player on offense right now. Everyone else has gotten dramatically worse since last year and even the beginning of the season.

You’ve got a better chance of seeing Hurts throw for 400 yards and 5 TDs than you have of me apologizing to that tool

There's a better chance he has another 4 int game. He'll never go 400/5. His highest total in a game was 387

This tells me you did not read my post. I said the Eagles and Pats are about the same running the ball, and the Pats average less yards per carry.

I wouldn't be so sure. I can see us going 2-2 and the Cowboys winning out if they get past Chargers.

I don't think they aren't losing to the other 3 teams left on their schedule

We'll see. Alot of people were saying the Cowboys would win out after last week and they lost to Detroit.

He doesn't have the dynamic speed to run anymore.
